    • 75' The fire is going out of Mansfield as Liverpool keep the ball in defence.

    • 71' Howell cuts in from the left but cannot see a shot. Daniel out on the left then sends a deflected cross to the near post where Jones just makes the stop. Awkward moment.
    • 69' After an easy start, it has been far from plain sailing for Liverpool today - indeed they are lucky to be winning.

    • 66' The Stags fans still behind their players, who are giving everything on the bobbly pitch.

    • 62' Mansfield boss Paul Cox is still steaming down there. But what was Suarez supposed to do? Give up the goal? What do you think? Tweet me @symco_eurosport
    • 60' Unlucky for Mansfield - and they were pressuring so well, a goal looked on the cards for them.
    • 59' GOAL FOR LIVERPOOL! SUAREZ - WITH HIS HAND! 2-0! He even shows his hand to the home fans in acknowledgement of the accident - his shot was saved by Marriott and the ball came back off him.
    • 56' First chance for the Uruguayan - he fires wide with the outside of his boot.
    • 55' Two changes for Liverpool as they come under intense pressure: Luis Suarez on for Sturridge and Jordan Henderson on for Suso.
    • 54' At the other end Sturridge has space in the box but fires wide of the far post.

    • 53' Briscoe pounding down the right as Robinson flies back to cut it out - handball to Mansfield, surely, on the edge of the box... or just inside? - then Briscoe fires wide of the near post. Corner to Mansfield - Jones saved.

    • - So what do you make of Sturridge in the first half? For me, he should have scored more but he has looked lively - and has linked well with Shelvey. Tweet me @symco_eurosport
    • 45+1' Jamie Carragher concedes a throw in his defensive third - but there is no time for Mansfield to take it as the solitary minute of added time has passed.
    • 45+1' Coates rises to head the ball in just wide of the post.

    • 37' Louis Briscoe penalised for a foul on Allen in the Liverpool half.
    • 36' Green goes too early and the offside flag is up against him.
    • 34' Electric from Sturridge to break down the right and to the byline where Shelvey arrives for the cut-back - excellent defending from Geohaghon to prevent a chance.
    • 33' Green picks up and has plenty of space to rifle at goal from 25 yards out - Jones parries away.
    • 32' Poor low long throw from Geohaghon, headed away easily at the near post.
    • 31' Geohaghon with a long ball down the right touchline for Green, who wins a throw near the corner flag.
    • 30' Liverpool head clear a Mansfield free-kick, but the Stags win the ball back and start again.
    • 29' Shelvey sent through on the counter, but Exodus Geohaghon does enough to put him off and Marriott makes the save.
    • 28' Sebastian Coates and Matt Green contesting a 50-50 inside the Liverpool box - and the Uruguayan does well to come out with the ball otherwise Green would have been in on goal.
    • 27' Jack Robinson with a give-and-go on the left, felled by home captain Murray.
    • 25' Downing skins a defender and pulls the trigger from the left but Clements is back to block superbly on the slide.
    • 24' Liverpool counter, with Mansfield keeper Marriott just able to snatch a long ball ahead of Sturridge near the byline.
    • 23' Ah, what a sight - the ball heading over the back of the stand. Shame they don't have to wait for five minutes for it to be thrown back these days...
    • 21' Lucas with a poor tackle on midfielder Murray to give Mansfield a free-kick. From that they win a throw on the right.
    • 20' Wisdom has a chance to shoot from close on the right - only to be denied by a great block from Adam Murray.
    • 19' The Stags were relegated from the Football League in 2008 after 77 years.
    • 17' Shelvery's cross is headed away by Lee Beevers. Easy for Liverpool so far.
    • 16' Suso's kick is into the wall and Shelvey's follow-up volley is even worse, well wide of goal.
    • 16' He looked offside from the replays. Free-kick to the Reds 30 yards out on the right.
    • 15' Great save by Marriott! Shelvey again puts Sturridge in behind and the former Chelsea striker 'has too much time' - the keeper makes a superb block. Should have been two.
    • 14' Promising counter for the Stags, but Anthony Howell's attempt to pick out a striker with his through-ball is too strong and Jones is there to claim.
    • 13' Downing wins a corner. It is played short and Joe Allen fires in a grass-cutter that Marriott gets down well to save and hold.
    • 12' Chris Clements's shot is blocked by the wall.
    • 11' Free-kick to Mansfield 30 yards out as Andre Wisdom fouls.
    • 9' Sturridge almost in again after a weak backpass but Alan Marriott is out quickly to fall on it. The striker did get a touch...
    • 7' GOAL FOR LIVERPOOL! 1-0! AND IT IS DEBUTANT DANIEL STURRIDGE! Shelvey threads a great ball through and the striker scores his ninth goal in 12 FA Cup games with three different clubs.
    • 7' Very sticky surface, which will certainly suit Mansfield.
    • 6' First attack from Masfield comes to nothing as Brad Jones comes out quickly to claim.
    • 5' Liverpool keeping the ball with Allen in the corner. Suso turns out of a challenge and sprints into space to fire over the bar from 25 yards. Good effort.
    • 4' Stewart Downing looks to strike from the edge of the box and John Thompson blocks. Corner to Liverpool.
    • 3' Jonjo Shelvey down the left looking to cross, but Mansfield defend.
    • 2' Liverpool keeping the ball early on on a pitch which looks likely to cut up later.

I said yes but we hadn’t beaten Lincoln in the second round replay yet. As soon as we did, the first thing the chairman said was, ‘Congratulations’. I said, ‘Thanks, it was a great result’. He said, ‘No, I mean on the marriage’!” Honeymoon incentive for boss
    • 15:45 The fourth round draw has just been made at Wembley and the winners of this tie get a glamorous trip to... Oldham! It may not be a blockbuster, but it does offer a very real chance of a place in the last 16. FA Cup: fourth round draw

  1. Critters at No 363. First let me congratulate you for stating the truth and the obvious. I am afraid some irate fans will come after you just as they have been doing to me for the past three years with all their insults and abusive languages. They are not real Liverpool fans as they don't care what position Liverpool occupies in the EPL. As far as they are concerned Liverpool might as well be playing in the Championship, it does not concern them a bit as long as they have a place to go to on Saturday or Sunday afternoons to make their noise. They are ready to circumvent the truth at the expense of LFC. Please when they start abusing you, just ignore them as silence is the right answer for fools like them.I agree 1000% with everything you have said about the state of things at Liverpool. But no one seems to have any solution to the problems that have been facing Liverpool for the past few years. The problems seem more deep rooted than just changing the managers. The Board needs to change the entire buying policy of LFC so that when players like Ba come on the market we don't lose to clubs like Chelsea, United, City, or even Spurs and Arsenal who are lready head and shoulder above us in terms of quality. These clubs buy all the good players at ridiculously low prices and we buy all the rejects for astronomical amounts. Players that are hardly good enough even to play in the Championship.

  2. I think we are all missing the point here & that is Liverpool FC is in a right mess, some players are not playing for the pride of wearing a Liverpool shirt just at Liverpool for the brill wages they get, some players don't care about the fans or club, they have their fancy homes, cars, their kids go to posh schools etc etc so they have nothing to worry about but what about the poor fans who don't have this kind of cash to throw around but still go to every home & away game, these players should think themselves very lucky! I really don't get what Brenda Rogers is trying to do at Liverpool but whatever it is, it is not working, he is buying players he likes from teams he as worked at or manager but are these players suitable for Liverpool ???? does he give that any thought before buying them ???? I don't see why we got rid of Charlie Adams he is what we need in midfield right now, a player who can hold the ball up & as quick thinking of where he wants the ball to go, we are getting rid of to many good players the ones who give 100% when given the chance to play, just look at Joe Cole again another player Liverpool need right now but not in the eyes of Rodgers. Yes I think Sturridge could be a good player for Liverpool but at what cost to other players in the team. I think Rodgers should be sacked bring a top manager in, one who as the balls to have a go at players not giving 100% to the team, one who will get rid of the players who are only there for the money. I can see a number of our top players leaving Liverpool in the summer because they can see being at Liverpool they are not going to win anything!

  3. Suarez is a good but dishonest fellow, he stop ball with his hand when his country Urugua was playing against Ghana, the good ref listen to the protest and Suarez was sent off, but yeserday, honestly the officiating was very poor because Liverpool players stop ball with hand two or three times before suarez's handscore.

  9. Suarez knew he handed the ball and didn't really celebrated the goal. If he was to admit to the referee of the hand ball he would have been dropped by Rodgers. Rodgers need all the luck in the world as it can be seen that LFC was on the backfoot for most of the game. Shame on Rodgers again and again for always fielding weak sides against lower table teams. If LFC had lost it would really show how incapable of a coach he is for a big name club.

  10. I am a swansea city supporter and i would like to say how proud mansfield should be with themselves against liverpool today. They showed what football is all about. They showed respect to all the families of the 96 who tragically passed away by leaving 96 seats empty. Well done mansfield, you done your club proud today

  12. Suarez not a cheat, these things happen in the game, this is why we need officals behind the goalpost, then I am sure there be a lot more goals being disallowed, I do agree Suarez should of gone to ref & asked for the goal to be disallowed. I also agree to make this really fair, lets play the game again but give this non league a chance to play at a good ground & play it at Anfield but do in a away that it's a home game for Mansfield & the get more of the profit for the match. COME ON LIVERPOOL LET'S US THE WORLD HOW FAIR WE REALLY ARE!

  16. Its sad most players don't have the integrity to do what is right. In a Serie A game this year, Klose gave back a goal for Lazio cause he knew the ball went in off his arm. Henry and Suarez might very well be great players, but they have absolutely no merit when concerning fair play and justice as far as the game is concerned. I will say with Henry, it was more isolated, where is with Suarez, from the cup or just his overall please don't defend me attitude, or i will most certainly dive routine is completely obnoxious. I mean i am a huge Ajax supporter and he is a great talent but his stupid faces and squints lead to me believe he delusional in the context of not being able to accept defeat. Oh yeah and let me put Robben in there right with him. As far as Rogers stating it was unintentional, well like Rogers alot, but if he's honest with himself and not just looking to defend/protect his own player and/or ego, then he'll clearly see the intent on the play. Amyways, spoke my peace and big up to Mansfield, every neutral was pullin for you and though Suarez will be able to look himself in the mirror, again and again, you and your fans played, supported with both guts and passion

  20. Cheats the best team lost today what a load of rubbish, yes Mansfield played better than they will probably play again for the rest of the season. Everybody is picking up from the stupid headline Suarez scores with hand ball goal, that is as maybe but the ball came back to him so fast it hit his hand and went in. For all the so called football fans out there the law says for it to be a handball the hand or arm has to be moved to the ball Suarez did neither it hit his hand, as much as i feel sorry for Mansfield and would have liked for them to get a lucrative replay it was a perfectly legitimate goal so get off the hate Suarezand LFC band wagon and get on with it!! An Angie grow up have your own mind and stop being led like a sheep by stupid media #$%$!
