    • - FULL TIME! Scotland comfortably beaten tonight, and plenty for Craig Levein to think about.
    • 90+1' Toivonen tries a shot from range. Had a nice shape to it, but it was always drifting over the bar.
    • 90' Two minutes of stoppage time to be added as Scotland push forward with Iwelumo.
    • 89' Sweden swapping passes at the back, keeping Boyd running after lost causes.
    • 88' A faintly ridiculous long range effort from Kallstrom goes a long way wide, but the competitive element of this friendly match is long over.
    • 87' Straight ball down the middle gets Scotland into trouble, but Berg's shot is struck directly at McGregor.
    • 85' Toivonen gives away a free kick trying to get Sweden on the move again - he's been very impressive for the home side today.
    • 84' Wendt does a great job on the right wing to beat a couple of tackles but he cannot back it up with a cross.
    • 83' Morrison takes down Kallstrom - cleanly, apparently - and Scotland release the pressure they've been under for the last couple of minutes from their hosts.
    • 81' Boyd gets a shot off for the visitors from ten yards, but it doesn't require Isaksson to make a save. He's certainly been more of a threat than Steven Fletcher in the short time he has been on the field.
    • 80' Should have been four! Scotland ripped apart! Wilhelmsson gets on the end of a Swedish break led by Toivonen and only a terrific save from McGregor denies him.
    • 80' Funnily enough, that's how Levein must see it, too - Iwelumo comes on for Barry Robson, so it will be two up front.
    • 79' Boyd harrying Safari, looking to be a nuisance, but it's a difficult job on his own.
    • 78' Another Sweden sub - Marcus Berg replaces Johan Elmander.
    • 77' Wilhelmsson tries to tease his way into the box but McGregor claims the ball at his feet.
    • 76' We've reached that all too familiar point in the game where there have been so many substitutions that the match itself has somewhat fizzled out. And neither side have a great deal to play for with the result long decided.
    • 74' Broadfoot is replaced by Steven Whitaker - an all-Rangers substitution for the Scots.
    • 73' Wendt on for Svensson.
    • 72' Larsson leaves Wallace for dead and storms down the wing, but he cannot get his cross in.
    • 71' McFadden and Boyd linking up well, but their move fizzles out. For Scottish fans there is at least some impetus behind their play to enjoy for the first time in the match - it is leaving them exposed at the back, however.
    • 70' Half a chance again - Robson's cross is met by Kenneth, whose header looks like it might squeak through the melee in the six yard box. Isaksson prevents it just in time.
    • 69' Game stretched a little more now. Scotland are getting forward, though their best chance of the game has by some stretch been that Boyd goal. They win a corner, though.
    • 68' Huge opportunity for Sweden to strike; men on the overlap and bearing down on the area. If Johan Elmander hadn't opted for a thirty yard shot, they could have done far, far better with that.
    • 66' Huge chance for Scotland! Boyd moves into space and picks a volleyed shot which Isaksson has to make a great save to prevent going in. Instant impact for Boyd.
    • 65' Sweden break with ferocious pace, and Toivonen at the helm. This time he cannot make his cross count and it is picked up by McGregor.
    • 64' Lots of subs - Bajrami off for Sweden, replaced by Wilhelmsson - and for Scotland Boyd is on in place of Steven Fletcher and James Morrison on for Charlie Adam.
    • 63' Yellow card for Barry Robson, who showed dissent at another refereeing decision. Sweden back on the offensive.
    • 62' And then a third corner - McFadden lifts a cross-come-shot in which Isaksson has to tip over the bar.
    • 61' Half a chance from that Scotland corner, and Mellberg has to glance it away for a second corner.
    • 60' Toivonen plays the ball into Elmander's path, and he fires a low shot at the near post - McGregor deals well with that one, though.
    • 59' A little relief for the Scots - Ibrahimovic comes off for Sweden, Tobias Hysen in his place.
    • 58' The two sides have been locked in midfield since that third goal went in. Sweden have little left to prove, the Scots are shell-shocked. Can they make things better in the final half an hour?
    • 56' The goal should not have stood, but if the Scottish defence had not stood still when they thought the ball was out of play, perhaps there would have been no goal in any case.
    • 55' TOIVONEN MAKES IT THREE! It's all too easy for Sweden. Kallstrom crosses and Scotland switch off as Toivenen nods home. But replays show that Kallstrom crossed when the ball had gone out for a goal kick. The referee didn't see it, though, and the goal stands.
    • 54' Substitute for Scotland - Robertson replaces Thomson, who's had a quiet game.
    • 53' Another Swedish corner, but Broadfoot gets his head on the ball and Steven Fletcher clears it thereafter.
    • 52' Darren Fletcher has struggled to impose himself on this gam, but this time he leads the Scots out of their own half and on a more impressive run. His namesake Steven is left stranded by the time they think about a cross, though.
    • 51' Sweden hit the bar! A fierce first time shot from distance from Mellberg, and it grazes the crossbar. McGregor may just have got a touch as well, but another chance for the Swedes!
    • 50' The corner is cleared, but only as far as Svensson - he comes into the box and nearly links up to get a shot away.
    • 49' Corner for the Swedes, which Kallstrom takes.
    • 48' Adam on the left looks to be pulled back, but the referee sees no free kick at all. Bizarre, but not bias - he gave a ridiculous yellow card to Elmander in the first half.
    • 47' Robson holds up the ball in the right hand corner, Scotland build patiently here looking for a ball in.
    • 46' Nice beginning from the Scots - McFadden releases Wallace on the left wing, and it's a useful ball into the middle which doesn't find a man on this occasion.
    • 45' The second half begins in Stockholm!
    • 45' Kim Kallstrom and Sebastian Larsson come on, replacing Wernbloom and Lustig
    • 20:52 We'll be back in a few minutes, join us then for the second half. In the meantime, there's a few games happening around Europe at the moment - why not go to the football homepage and get the latest on England v Hungary and Ireland v Argentina?
    • 20:48 Half-time - and it's been a very uncomfortable 45 minutes for the Scots. They gifted the Swedes an early goal, and though they threatened on the break and from set pieces once or twice, they were a very clear second best to Sweden, and Bajrami deserved Sweden's second.
    • 45' Svensson plays a wonderful ball through to Safari on the byline, but he is shepherded out of play. And that's the last action of the half!
    • 44' Majstorovic goes down just inside the Scottish half, having nipped in to dispossess Adam.
    • 43' Good passes between Darren Fletcher and Charlie Adam as the Scots move into the final third but once there they look short of direction. Levein's 4-5-1 looks a bit flat.
    • 42' Ibrahimovic gets space on the left again, and his drifting runs are proving a real handful for the likes of Kirk Broadfoot to cope with.
    • 41' An error from Majstorovic almost allows Darren Fletcher in to have a shot on the edge of the box, but he cannot get the half a yard of space he needs.
    • 40' Fletcher tries to time a perfect run to meet Steven Fletcher's cross from the left, but Isaksson looks far more comfortable in those situations and he claims with confidence.
    • 39' BAJRAMI SCORES! He's left in ridiculous space on the left side, and tries a half volley. McGregor makes a great save, but the rebound falls to his right foot, and he steers it into the far corner.
    • 38' Ibrahimovic looks on a different level - great touches as he creates space in the area. Nobody on his wavelength this time, however.
    • 37' Toivonen tries a sharp low crossfield ball left for Safari's run from deep, but he overhits this one. Safari gives him the obligatory 'thanks for trying' thumbs up.
    • 36' Scotland are plugging away on the left but this time McFadden is ushered off the ball. They've had more joy on the left than the right so far, though.
    • 35' Long range effort from Elmander, but it has just a little left-to-right on it, and that takes it too far right of McGregor's goal.
    • 34' Messy again! Communication between Isaksson and his defence is not quite right and Robson's dangerous and well hit cross is not comfortably dealt with. Sweden do eventually clear.
    • 33' Wernbloom gives away a free kick fairly deep into the Swedish half. Chance for the Scots.
    • 32' Elmander is booked for a sliding challenge, and he is beyond furious about it. Replays show he made contact with the ball, which was a good couple of feet away from Barry Robson. A curious decision from from the referee.
    • 31' The ball breaks to Toivenen who tries a shot from the edge of the box aimed at the far corner - not quite - it takes a deflection off Berra for a corner.
    • 30' Down goes Ibrahimovic in the box as he tries to skip past Kenneth's challenge, but he falls over himself.
    • 29' Majstorovic throws his weight around at the back for Sweden, winning the hosts a throw. Sweden moving at a canter.
    • 28' Chance for the Scots! From nowhere the ball falls to Fletcher - McFadden receives the ball on the left and gets a tricky cross in which Isaksson cannot grab cleanly. Adam is waiting but cannot quite prod the ball in past the Swedish defenders from close range.
    • 26' Adam drops deep to get things moving for the visitors, but just when the Scots look like they have some time they opt for a long ball. Wallace tracks back after a long and futile run.
    • 25' Charlie Adam dispossessed as the Scots break. With the jeers of the home fans ringing in his ears he puts a poor challenge in on Bajrami for a Sweden free kick.
    • 24' Ibrahimovic, drfiting beyond the far post, gathers the clearance and whistles the ball back into a dangerous area. McGregor has a tough time trying to make the clearance, but eventually Scotland get the ball out of trouble.
    • 23' Bajrami wins a corner after nice short passes take Sweden down the left side.
    • 22' Booking for Broadfoot - Scotland get into the penalty area with a corner and Broadfoot lunges for the ball. His foot meets Isaksson's face, and no wonder the Swedish players look a little aggrieved.
    • 21' Elmander nearly gets on the end of a tantalising pass from Wernbloom. He's a couple of metres shy, but that caught Scotland short.
    • 20' Scotland clear the free kick and surge upfield. Fletcher is on the left, and runs out of options as he gets nearer the penalty area. Isaksson not challenged in the Swedish goal.
    • 19' Svensson stands over an appetising free kick on the right side of the box.
    • 18' Just a little bit of hesitance in the Swedish penalty area when McFadden tries a cross - but Steven Fletcher cannot take advantage.
    • 17' Lustig bursts forward on the right hand side and Wallace cannot contain him. He cuts back from the byline and passes to Toivonen, whose shot is just short of the power and the placement it needs to beat McGregor.
    • 16' Robson wins a free kick for the Scots on the half-way line. They take it quickly, but Charlie Adam's attempted ball hits Toivonen and the Swedes are back in possession.
    • 14' A couple of passes exchanged at the back between Berra and Kenneth, and the Scots will be delighted to get a touch or two. It all breaks down when Kenneth tries a long ball down the right hand channel, however.
    • 13' Thompson puts in a pretty terrible-looking challenge in on Ibrahimovic from behind and gives away a free kick. They have to do something, though, they are being overrun.
    • 12' That was far closer than it first appeared! A header from Majstorovic at the back goes unchallenged, and it goes only a whisker wide on the left hand side.
    • 11' More pressure in the box from Sweden and Toivonen, and the hosts win a corner.
    • 10' So close to a second! Toivonen gets a bit of space 25 yards out, and fires a shot in which McGregor spills. He makes a terrific stop to save the rebound from Elmander though!
    • 9' Safari well pressured in his own half by Adam, but gets out of trouble and clears.
    • 8' Ibrahimovic is pulling the strings for Sweden here. On the right wing he plays a dangerous-looking ball towards Bajrami and only a lunging clearance from Bajrami prevents a gilt-edged chance falling the home side's way.
    • 7' '3-0 to the Scots' called Thomas in the comments section. Sorry, Thomas, it's not going to happen. 3-1 is still possible, of course...
    • 6' Elmander and Bajrami looking lively on the left hand side, now. The goal appears to have settled the hosts down.
    • 5' The comeback starts well for Ibrahimovic, then. It's as if he's never been away. Goal 23 at international level.
    • 4' Or are they? IBRAHIMOVIC SCORES! It was all too easy - two slick passes get Bajrami into space, and he slides a cross low for the striker to bury. Defence conspicuous by their absence.
    • 3' Olof Mellberg tries a long ball forward for the Swedes which doesn't get them very far. Neither side really achieving a great deal at present.
    • 2' Sweden on the back foot in the early exchanges - Barry Robson tries a cross from a deepish position and Fletcher has no hope of getting on the end of it.
    • 1' Play starts! Scotland (in yellow) kick off.
    • - A slightly ridiculous piece of away-kit promotion from both sides tonight. Sweden, at home and normally in yellow, will play in blue. Scotland, normally in blue, will instead play in yellow. It looks wrong.
    • - Not far from kick-off - the players are out on the field singing their national anthems.
    • - If a trip to Sweden sounds like hard work for Scotland, then the bad news is that it is not about to get any easier. Next up for the Tartan Army are the Euro 2012 qualifiers in a group which features Spain and the Czech Republic.
    • - The Rasunda Stadium in Stockholm is the venue of tonight's game - a stadium constructed in 1937 with a capacity of 36,000 - it hosted the 1958 World Cup final.
    • - So the team news is in, then - for Scotland we see the return of McGregor in goal - his first appearance since that incident in 2009 which saw he and Barry Ferguson dropped by Burley. A return on the Sweden side too - Zlatan Ibrahimovic is back after a brief 'retirement' - and he has been installed as captain.
    • - SWEDEN TEAM: Isaksson, Lustig, Mellberg, Majstorovic, Safari, Svensson, Wernbloom, Elmander, Toivonen, Bajrami, Ibrahimovic. SWEDEN SUBS: Wiland, Berg, Larsson, Kallstrom, Granqvist, Hysen, Wendt, Olsson, Wilhelmsson.
    • - SCOTLAND TEAM: McGregor, Broadfoot, Kenneth, Berra, Wallace, Robson, Darren Fletcher, Thomson, Adam, McFadden, Steven Fletcher. SCOTLAND SUBS: Alexander, Whittaker, Miller, Iwelumo, Boyd, Robertson, Morrison, McManus, Turner.
    • - But things were not much better for the Swedes - they also finished third behind the Danes and the Portuguese in the race for South Africa, and they too have a new coach for the Euro 2012 qualifiers - Erik Hamren.
    • - Scotland had a tough time in qualifying for World Cup 2010 - third behind Norway and the Netherlands, who coasted through with a perfect record and reached the World Cup final. George Burley went, and Craig Levein took his place.
    • - Evening everyone, and welcome to live updates from Scotland's first game of the season, a friendly match against Sweden in Stockholm.
