    • 90' FT: Spurs 6-0 South China
    • 89' ALMOST! Dhiego Martins was through on goal and just ran out of steam to beat Lloris.
    • 88' Andros Townsend, to Jermain Defoe, on the back-foot and he heads wide.
    • 87' TOP SAVE! Outstanding stop from Hugo Lloris to deny Dhiego Martins. Lovely, curling effort, heading for the top corner but denied by the Frenchman. Suddenly, the crowd is lively!
    • 87' 6-0, I should say.
    • 86' GOAL! Andros Townsend bends in a left-footed free-kick into the far corner from 20 yards. Well struck, well finished and 5-0 for Spurs.
    • 85' Heart-in-mouth time there for Sealy, the adopted Hong Kong national, as the ball just bounces off his stomach and goes wide.
    • 85' Townsend going past two men on the right-wing, looking deft with that left-footed dribbling style. No end product though, as the ball goes out for a goal-kick.
    • 83' Tom Huddlestone was eyeing up a long-range strike there. Couldn't dig the ball out of his feet in time.
    • 81' ON: Emir, Chan .... OFF: Naves, Wan
    • 79' HAT-TRICK! It was a matter of time for Jermain Defoe. Sigurdsson sends him one-on-one with Zhang and the striker was composed in-front of goal. 4-0 Spurs.
    • 77' Tom Carroll breaking into the penalty box, looking to swivel clear of the defender, but blocked out in the end. An impressive cameo appearance from the young English midfielder.
    • 76' You can imagine the pitch will be in really bad - if it wasn't already - for the City/Sunderland game at 1.30pm.
    • 75' The supporters have opened up their 'brollies. It's beginning to rain!
    • 72' ON: Lee Wai Lim, OFF: Mamadou Barry
    • 70' SAVE! Zhang sticks out a right-leg to deny Defoe his hat-trick.
    • 66' ON: Livermore, Huddlestone, Townsend, Fryers... OFF: Dembele, Lennon, Parker, Rose
    • 65' Dhiego Martins has been the only glimmer of light for South China. Three attempts so far, this one not too dangerous, driving the ball across goal and wide. The crowd are loving it!
    • 64' This isn't easy for either side. Spurs still having to graft in the middle of the field, especially where the pitch isn't kind for the players.
    • 61' Offside from Defoe, but yet again, Carroll with another majestic chipped ball.
    • 60' Excellent combination from Carroll and Defoe. The midfielder with a delightful pass to find the striker who was spinning behind the South China defence.
    • 59' Tottenham working across the back, from Rose to Dawson, to Lennon, then back again. Patient.
    • 57' Tom Carroll is picking some lovely areas to work in for Spurs. Seems to have a really intelligent football brain and is making some good runs on the break.
    • 55' Another incisive attack from Spurs with Danny Rose finding space and crossing for Defoe who had a few bites at the cherry, as Zhang held firmly.
    • 54' Dembele striking hard against the South China defender and Spurs looking home-and-dry with over 30 minutes to go.
    • 53' DEFOE! Spurs 4-0 South China, and that's a disaster for Zhang in the nets. The keeper comes out to clear the ball, but hits it against the Spurs striker and he does the easy task of scoring.
    • 49' Strong defending from Tse at point-blank range to get ahead of Steven Caulker who was the target of Sigurdsson's cross.
    • 48' Early impressions suggest little change to Spurs' style. Naughton just as purposeful going forward, like Walker was in the first half.
    • 46' Sigurdsson again floating in a central role and was played through by Defore - just a little to heavy.
    • 45' The action resumes in Hong Kong.
    • 45' Kyle Naughton and Tom Carroll come on for Spurs, as Kyle Walker and Clint Dempsey make way. South China also introduce Liu and Pavlovic.
    • 12:03 The teams return from the dressing room for the second period. Looks like a handful of changes from South China.
    • 12:00 Agree? "@rossdunbar93 Some of the work from Rose and Sigurdsson has been excellent in the first-half. That was two, going on five or six for Spurs. #THFC"
    • 45' HT: Spurs 3-0 South China
    • 44' GOAL TOTTENHAM! Well, rather bizarre in the way it found the net. Kyle Walker eyed up a goal from the free-kick, about 35 yards out, but it only found Defoe a few yards out and he slotted into the net.
    • 42' Kyle Walker hits the byline again, checking back his cross to the far-post to find Defoe who couldn't find enough power on his header back across goal.
    • 41' Scrappy spell of this game with Spurs not shirking any responsibility in this game. A good test in pre-season for the North London side.
    • 40' Second free-kick conceded by Spurs within a short space of time. Neither opportunity exploited though by South China.
    • 37' Dhiego Martins, wearing the No.19 for South China, fires a tame effort at Lloris from outside the box.
    • 35' Behind the scenes: Moyes, Neville, Giggs and Woods all arrive in the Hong Kong stadium ahead of their game on Monday. Of course, United coming from Japan after games against Yokohama and Cerezo Osaka.
    • 34' 2-0! Similar move on the left-hand side, this time Defoe is the creator and he cuts back with his left-foot for Dempsey to tuck the ball into the net. Nice move.
    • 33' Parker's pass just a little overhit as Spurs try to weave their way through the South China defence. Walker was the intended target.
    • 32' BREAK! The South China set-piece was woeful and cleared by Sigurdsson. Eventually, Spurs supported in numbers and the ball fell sweetly to Dempsey who rifles past the past.
    • 31' South China have a free-kick inside the Spurs half.
    • 28' Defoe heads against the POST! Sigurdsson's swirling free-kick from deep is challenged well by South China - but the second ball is met in the air by the Spurs striker. His header clipped the right-hand post.
    • 27' Tsang blocks from Defoe. Sigurdsson, Dembele and Rose involved and the left-back crossing for Defoe who had moved to the near-post, but the South China keeper reacted quickly to stop a goal.
    • 26' Clint Dempsey ought to have made it 2-0 for Spurs there. Found beautifully by Parker, beating the offside trap, but deciding to go for the ambitious lob over the keeper, which didn't find the target.
    • 25' Again, Sigurdsson key on the left and Spurs just a few touches away from finding a second goal.
    • 24' Walker strides into acres of space on the right-hand side and cuts across the face of goal for Sigurdsson's volley, which is blocked. From the scraps, the Icelandic international one-twos with Dempsey to win a corner-kick.
    • 21' Offside call on Dhiego Martins, as the team in red tried to shift quickly to the left-wing.
    • 20' Defoe sees his shot cannon off Tse inside the box. Kyle Walker creating the chance with a good run down the right-flank.
    • 19' Hugo Lloris collects the ball for the first time today, holding comfortably on to Luk's long-range shot. It wasn't really strong enough to test the French keeper.
    • 17' Sigurdsson heavily involved, so far. He has drifted into a central area, opening the space for Rose to move into advanced areas: a strategy which has been effective for Spurs in the first quarter of the game.
    • 15' Joel with an outstanding tackle to deny Defore from doubling Spurs' advantage. Sigurdsson was the architect of the move, feeding a through-ball to the English striker, yet he couldn't move clear of the South China defender.
    • 14' Risky defending from South China with Joel Pilhanda almost converting past his own GK, and then within another few seconds, Tse nearly had a second O.G to his name.
    • 12' GOAL! Spurs 1-0 South China: Dembele made the move forward, finding Dempsey who flicked the ball back to Rose and his left-foot cross was turned into his own net by Tse.
    • 10' Kyle Walker finds the byline on the right-hand side for the first time in the game, crossing deep, only for Selby to clear.
    • 9' Rose's crossing so far has made life difficult for South China. The ball was held up from Defoe in this instance, laid to Rose, but nobody at the opposite post to get on the end of the delivery.
    • 8' Defoe caught offside for a second time, looking to break the high-line of South China. Kyle Walker with the 60-yard ball over the top.
    • 7' Scott Parker with a strong challenge - but fair - on the Englishman Jack Selby, who is a Hong Kong internationalist.
    • 5' First dangerous delivery from Danny Rose at full-back. Strong run forward, plenty of pace on the left-footed cross, but too much for Defoe to make an effort for goal.
    • 4' You can see Spurs are focusing a lot of their build-up down either flank because of the pitch problems in the middle of the park. It's not helping the players in that area.
    • 2' Some quick feet from Aaron Lennon wins a corner-kick for Spurs, who are shooting to the "neutral" end of the Hong Kong stadium.
    • 1' Early offside from Jermain Defore, as Spurs looked for a more direct approach to get in behind within the first 40 seconds.
    • 0' Spurs kick-off in Hong Kong.
    • 11:01 Spurs go into their huddle ... and South China likewise. It seems we're ready to go. Plenty of camermen positioned in front of Andre Villas-Boas, the Spurs head coach.
    • 10:59 South China, in the colours of Arsenal, take to the field. Both clubs actually have an official partnership, exchanging coaching methods, and such.
    • 10:57 Incredible support for Spurs in the ground. We're waiting for the teams to emerge.
    • 10:53 Huge patches of sand on the turf for this game. It's like something Spurs will face in the FA Cup in the winter. Fingers crossed, for both sides, there are no potential injury problems.
    • 10:50 Here's the South China XI: Zhang, Tse, Padhila, Sealy, Ticao, Mesquita, Kwok, Luk, Wai, Barry, Martins… Subs: Tsang, Ho, Yapp, Chak, Pavlovic, Lee, Emir
    • 10:41 "A massive relief" says Steven Caulker on the lack of torrential rain in Hong Kong.
    • 10:39 Apologies, that should be Saturday papers. I'm getting ahead of myself. Feel free to leave some comments on Bale's future and today's match. Tweet me also on @rossdunbar93.
    • 10:36 All eyes were on Gareth Bale as he arrived in Hong Kong, but he isn't in the named squad for today's Third Place Play-Off. Bale has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, again, in the Sunday papers.

    • 10:27 We're still a few weeks until the start of the EPL season, but there's plenty of football to go in the pre-season preparation. Today, we've got a double-header from the Barclays Asia Cup. First up: Spurs vs. South China.
