    • 90+4' No there is not! Sevilla bounce back brilliantly from their Europa League exit in a game that was not as close as the scoreline suggested. A late free kick from Snati Cazorla caused a few last minute nerves but Sevilla held out and Alvaro Negredo's first half brace was enough to see them through. Thank you for joining us and good night.
    • 90+3' Is there time for one last Malaga chance? The ball is with Varas and he hoofs down field.
    • 90+2' Negredo goes down but Malaga aren't kicking the ball out now. It eventually goes out for a throw and Negredo gets some treatment for a bit of cramp. He has worked hard.
    • 90+1' Joaquin's corner is defended well, as is Cazorla's follow up cross.
    • 90' Malaga get good possession and a cross from Gamez is headed behind for a corner by Spahic. Nervous times for the home side.
    • 89' Negredo is holding up the ball skilfully now and draws a foul from Demichelis.
    • 88' Trochowski wins another challenge in midfield - the free transfer looks like a great signing for Sevilla.
    • 87' Negredo is looking tired now and can't control a high ball 25 yards out and only one defender to beat.
    • 86' Sevilla trying to hold on to the ball and see the game out. May be too little too late for Malaga.
    • 85' Not this time - there's no repeat of a few minutes ago as Cazorla hits this one high and wide.
    • 84' Caceres concedes another foul on the edge of the area; he will have to be careful. Cazorla is licking his lips...
    • 82' Cazorla looks like a new man and he puts in a dangerous cross. Think I spoke too soon about him.
    • 81' The Malaga players' body language is transformed as van Nistelrooy's legs won't get him onto the end of another pass.
    • 80' GOAL! That's not going to make Caceres feel any better. Cazorla steps up and beautifully curls the free kick into the top corner. That was a cracker.
    • 79' Caceres gets booked for dissent. He didn't agree with the referee giving a foul on the edge of Sevilla's penalty area.
    • 78' Demichelis makes a clumsy challenge in midfield and is lucky to escape a booking.
    • 76' Cazrola misplaces another pass out wide. £20million? Really? He hasn't had a great day.
    • 75' Van Nistelrooy is crowded out on the edge of the area.
    • 74' Sevilla seem to be turning it on at will and Malaga are back to misplacing passes and an inability to defend their flanks.
    • 73' Cazorla passes straight to Varas and looks to Monreal with a questioning look. I guess he expected the full back to be making a run.
    • 72' Manu makes way for Jose Campana.
    • 71' Eliseu is put out of his misery and replaced by Ignacio Monreal.
    • 70' Eliseu is lucky to get away with a mis-control in the middle of his own box, Navas was could have capitalised had he been more aware.
    • 69' Malaga are at sixes and sevens at the moment, the early second half composure has evaporated.
    • 68' Trochowski's turn this time; The German international finds space on the edge of the area and stings Willy's palms with a powerful shot.
    • 67' CHANCE! How has Negredo not got his hat-trick?! Navas again gets free on the flank and squares to Negredo, who side foots wide with only the keeper to beat. Shocking miss.
    • 66' Navas is caught napping and Cazrola dispossesses him to work the ball out to the left. Juaquin's cross is (surprise surprise!) nowhere near anyone.
    • 65' Diego Perotti must be feeling a bit unlucky here, as he is replaced by Emiliano Armenteros.
    • 64' Malaga putting a lot of pressure on the home side now and it is mostly due to Toulalan seeing more of the ball up field.
    • 63' God play form Toulalan find Fernandez in the Sevilla box but Spahic blocks for a corner.
    • 62' Mystifying decision by the referee, who calls a corner after a ball form Gamez rolls out with not a single Sevilla defender near it. Bizarre.
    • 61' Cazorla's free kick is poor and Sevilla clear easily.
    • 60' A pin point cross field pass from Jeremy Toulalan find Joaquin and it is worked out onto the right only for Caceres to concede a free kick for a late challenge on Gamez.
    • 59' New arrival Coke looks to make his mark but he overruns the ball for a goal kick.
    • 58' Jesus Navas looks in a bit of pain after a clumsy challenge form Eliseu but he gets to his feet and jogs it off.
    • 57' Joaquin has a new opponent in Caceres after Navarro's half time exit but the result is the same and the defender prevails.
    • 56' A floated cross form Cazorla nearly find van Nistelrooy but the veteran striker isn't quick enough to reach it.
    • 55' Medel brings down Joaquin with Malaga looking to break and the Chilean receives a yellow.
    • 54' Chance! Perotti again is too good for his man and crosses to Negredo, who gets to the ball first again but his volleyed effort goes straight at Willy.
    • 53' Negredo receives a booking for a needless pull back in midfield. Silly that.
    • 52' Malaga starting this half much more positively.
    • 51' Good hold up play from van Nistelrooy and he finds Joaquiin on the right, who beats his man and dinks a delicate cross to the far post and clears everyone.
    • 50' Trochowski find Perotti on the right but the Argentinean's touch is heavy and it goes out for a goal kick.
    • 49' Cazorla is fouled by Coke but the free kick comes to nothing.
    • 48' Navas picks up where he left off in the first half and finds Negredo but the striker's shot goes harmlessly wide on this occasion.
    • 47' Sebastien Fernandez and Enzo Maresca on for Apono and Rondon at half time. Sevilla bring on Coke for Navarro.
    • 46' We are back under way.
    • 45+1' That proves to be the last action from an exciting first half where Malaga were punished by some clinical attacking play from the home side. Negredo with a brace and looking like a hat-trick isn't far off.
    • 45' Navas is again proving a problem to full back Eliseu and his cross finds Negredo but his header goes straight into the waiting arms of goalkeeper Willy.
    • 44' Manuel Pellegrini cuts a bemused figure on the sideline, as he watches his expensively assembled side fail to make any head way in their opponents half.
    • 43' Joaquin has been very wasteful this first half - another cross goes away from any team mates and Javi Varas collects easily.
    • 42' The away side can get nothing going here as Joaquin loses the ball once again, passing behind Rondon.
    • 41' Rondon finds Joaquin 30 yards out but the return pass goes straight out for a goal kick.
    • 40' Malaga have seen more of the ball but they cannot match the incisive play of Sevilla. Navas, Negredo and Perotti are proving to be a real handful.
    • 39' Medel and Trochowski combine in midfield before the German hits a long range drive that is deflected over for a corner
    • 37' Good work by Caceres sends Jesus Navas clear on the right and only a good interception by Demichelis prevents Negredo tapping in for his hat-trick.
    • 36' Some midfield tussles have brought the pace down a notch or two, with both sides taking a breather. It has been frenetic stuff so far.
    • 35' Medel wins another tackle in midfield!
    • 34' Van Nistelrooy and Navarro are having a physical battle at the moment and there are a few shouts for a penalty as they fall together in pursuit of Joaquin's cross. Goal kick.
    • 33' A cross from the left is hit straight into the arms of Varas. Cazorla hasn't really got into the game so far.
    • 32' Negredo sees Willy off of his line and makes an audacious attempt form about 35 yards out. It sails safely wide.
    • 31' Joaquin is seeing a lot of the ball on the right but he is tackled this time around. The Spain winger is looking more and more dangerous and could be Malaga's best way back into this game.
    • 30' Nasty one there as Demichelis accidentally steps on the head of Negredo but the big striker is only down briefly and play resumes.
    • 29' Big shout for handball on the edge of the area against Mathijsen but the referee waves away the protests.
    • 28' Van Nistelrooy is booked for a stray arm finding the face of Escude.
    • 27' Rondon has another snap at goal but Sevilla defend it well on the edge of the area and the danger is cleared.
    • 25' Malaga look shocked, they haven't got going at all and for all their expensive signings, they are looking like a team who has never played together.
    • 24' GOAL! It's that man Negredo again! Perotti gets the ball on the right and his squared pass is swept home by Negredo from just inside the area. Lovely finish.
    • 23' Chance! The ball finds Joaquin on the right and he cuts inside Perotti and puts in an inviting cross only to see Rondon fluff a great chance.
    • 21' Navarro is incensed after the referee gives a free kick to Malaga. Joaquin takes it but it is cleared by Navarro under pressure from van Nistelrooy.
    • 20' Perotti controls a long pass well but is then tackles by Jesus Gamez.
    • 19' Joaquin wins a corner on the right, only to waste it once again. Sevilla are starting to look more comfortable dealing with the corners after a dodgy start.
    • 18' Santi Cazorla beats a couple of challenges but Medel is there again to tackle him, the Chilean is everywhere at the moment.
    • 16' The customary round of applause from the home crown on 16 minutes in tribute to Antonio Puerta, who died so tragically from a heart attack.
    • 14' Sevilla are showing no signs of a European hangover and have started much the stronger of the two sides.
    • 13' Joaquin wins a corner on the right form Medel but it comes to nothing.
    • 12' Great play! Medel wins the ball in midfield and finds Perotti, who trades quick passes with Negredo on the edge of the area before the striker hits a dipping drive that Willy does well to keep out.
    • 11' The majority of Sevilla's play so far is going through Jesus Navas on the right and the young winger is looking impressive.
    • 10' A hard tackle on Santi Cazorla by Emir Spahic gives Malaga a corner and Sevilla struggle to clear again with Rondon waiting to pounce.
    • 9' Toulalan commits a foul on the left hand side. The kick is taken by Perotti and it finds the head of Julien Escude, who can only sky his header. A little less on that and he may have been in business.
    • 8' More good play from Jesus Navas as he crosses in a for a good chance at goal but Negredo is flagged offside.
    • 7' The corner is won by a Malaga head but it trickles wide.
    • 6' Good work from Rondon as he beats two defenders but is tackled in the box for a corner.
    • 5' Joaquin goes on a mazy run into the Sevilla box but is crowded out and it is cleared.
    • 4' Malaga look rattled and this time Diego Perotti breaks through midfield to the edge of the box but can only fire straight at Willy.
    • 3' GOAL! What a start from the home side! Jesus Navas beats his defender on the right flank and curls in a delightful cross to find Alvaro Negredo, who heads past the helpless keeper.
    • 2' The away side get a good start and break down the left but the ball is bundled out for a Sevilla throw.
    • 1' Referee Carlos Delgado Ferreiro signals to them teams and we are underway in this Andalucian derby.
    • 20:55 Let us hope there is no repeat of the previous meeting between these sides - a 0-0 draw in February.
    • 20:50 New signing from Villareal Santi Cazorla gets to start, as does veteran forward Ruud van Nistelrooy, and manger Manuel Pellegrini will be hoping his side's pre-season form of five straight wins can be carried over into this delayed season opener.
