    • Manchester City
    • 90+5 That's it! City are stunned! They lose at Sunderland and, after that rotten second-half performance, it seems nothing has changed. They were awol.
    • 90+4 GOAL SUNDERLAND! BENT HAS WON IT! He put the penalty low to Hart's left and he almost got it but the ball snuck in! Sunderland win it at the death and they deserve it for their second-half performance.
    • 90+3 El-Mohamady on the right, he has plenty of space and he sends in a wicked cross that BENT CAN MEET but Richards hauls him down! Penalty!
    • 90+2 Richardson crosses, Barry clears and it drops to El-Mohamady but his shot strikes Milner, and Welbeck shoots but saved by Hart. City hanging on!
    • 90+2 CITY SUB: Tevez trudges off, he's done nothing this half, with Jo on in his place.
    • 90+1 Super play by El-Mohamady to chase and win a lost cause, robbing Kompany by the corner flag and keeping it alive.
    • 90' City want to bring Jo on but Sunderland are keeping the ball and won't let them. An attack breaks down, Silva on the ball, he tries to cross for Milner but headed away.
    • 89' Bent is sent scurrying down the left by Malbranque, he gets one-on-one with Richards and doesn't fancy it so cuts it back to Henderson who can finish but Barry blocks!
    • 88' Swung in by Malbranque but Bramble and Welbeck fail to make contact and it flies away for a goal kick.
    • 87' De Jong sees yellow I think after a foul on the Sunderland right.
    • 86' Roberto Mancini looks more blustered than flustered as the wind ruffles his now trimmed silver locks. The sack by the end of the window?
    • 85' Good strong tackle from Barry on Welbeck as he was almost sent away.
    • 84' Bardsley gets hold of the ball at range but blasts it well over.
    • - Overall possession: Sunderland 38-62 City
    • 82' Groans from the home fans as a stray Henderson pass is met by De Jong. Come on lads, you're doing all right here!
    • 81' CITY SUB: Silva on for Johnson. How about that for a bench.
    • 80' City to take another change as David Silva warms up.
    • 78' WHAT A SAVE FROM MIGNOLET! Milner put the corner far post, Richards headed it across goal and Adebayor smacked a volleyed backheel towards the top right but, from close to point-blank range, the young Belgian tipped it away. Save of the weekend.
    • 77' Tevez gets around Cattermole before digging out a shot that takes a deflection off him and wide for a corner.
    • 76' Richards gets ahead of Welbeck again to clear as Sunderland continue to dominate this second half.
    • 76' Richardson finds Malbranque who clips a header over. If he wasn't a little 'un he would have been able to get above that.
    • 75' CITY SUB: Adebayor comes on for Lescott, so a tactical switch too. City to go 4-4-2 witrh Barry left-back.
    • 74' Welbeck with a dribble down the left but Richards puts it out for a throw.
    • 73' Expect a fair old whack of injury time - Kolo Toure is now down with some kind of leg problem.
    • 72' Richards is a big strong lad and he's okay. A drop ball on halfway sees the ball given back to Sunderland.
    • 71' Richards is down after colliding with Kolo Toure during that chance.
    • 70' Sunderland still keeping the ball as El-Mohamady crosses in but nodded away by Kolo just in time!
    • 69' Kompany has to clear to touch as Sunderland apply the pressure. Excellent spell for the Black Cats now.
    • 68' Break from Sunderland, Welbeck on the charge, he finds Bent, he cuts it back, blocked but Welbeck again but he blasts over!
    • 67' Tevez on the right but poor control and Richardson can clear. Barry gets it back though and he tries to go it alone but Bramble stands him up.
    • 66' Barry seems to handle but the ref gives him the benefit of the doubt. City still have the ball as Johnson finds Yaya, he runs into Tevez though and Sunderland clear.
    • 65' Bramble hacks it clear after Richardson came under pressure.
    • 64' Risky backpass from Kolo but Hart clears. Then a high one into the box is left by Kompany but Hart rushes out to clutch the ball.
    • 63' Milner with a rare run down the right this half but he's challenged by Richardson.
    • 62' All getting a bit weak now as City seem unable to find the same motivation away as they do at home to the big sides.
    • 60' An unorthodox clearance by Hart, punching behind for a corner after Kolo Toure got in a muddle with Bent lurking when Kompany missed a header.
    • 59' Richardson takes it and his flat, bullet shot flies well wide in the end.
    • 59' Barry clips Welbeck on the edge of the box and Sunderland have a free-kick.
    • 58' City clear their lines from the corner. All the way back with Mignolet.
    • 57' El-Mohamady with a trademark cross-shot that Hart scrambles back to tip over for a corner. It looks like a fluke but he's scored with them a couple of times for Egypt and ENPPI, and has hit wood too.
    • 56' Yaya Toure comes forward, sliding it to Tevez on the edge of the box, he tries to wriggle clear but Ferdinand and Bramble gang up on the duo and clear - for now, because City still have it. Bramble slides in on Johnson on the edge of the box, hoofing the ball clear. Good defending by Sunderland.
    • 55' Richardson races back to slide in on Johnson, giving away a corner. Good tackle.
    • 55' Kompany with a hesitant piece of defending leaves the ball with Bent in there but Hart flies out to parry away.
    • 54' Ho ho ho. Richards with a trademark bustling run into the box and, as he hits the byline he accidentally clips the ball with his left foot just as he was set to pull the trigger. Technique - 1.
    • 53' Richardson gives the ball away but City are being closed down all over the pitch and the ball is all the way back with Hart.
    • 52' Super ball from Henderson but it takes a deflection en route to Welbeck and Hart gathers.
    • 51' Barry clatters into Malbranque. City need to find the mojo that saw them tear Liverpool apart on Monday.
    • 50' El-Mohamady bursts down the right but his cross is a touch too close to Hart. Or maybe Hart read it.
    • 49' Tevez is back defending to deny Welbeck on the left wing. Richardson gets hold of it and bursts forward, sliding it wide to Malbranque but he can't keep the cross in.
    • 48' Cattermole is in the wars now after coming off a cropper following a collision with Kompany.
    • 47' A long pass towards Bent catches the occasional England striker offside.
    • 46' The second half begins.
    • - SUNDERLAND CHANGES: Campbell (knee) and Turner (ankle) cannot continue so Welbeck and Bardsley are on in their places.
    • - Fouls: Sunderland 4-3 City; Corners: Sunderland 1-4 City
    • - Shots on target: Sunderland 1-3 City; Shots off target: Sunderland 3-1 City
    • 45+4 Yaya Toure follows that up with a header well wide from the corner. A touch of late drama but, Tevez's horror miss aside, a tepid first half.
    • 45+3 Milner takes a whack from Henderson and City have a free-kick on the left. They’re persisting with treatment on Campbell when it looks like they should get him to a hospital. Milner swing in the free-kick, it comes off the back of Ferdinand’s head AND TOURE MUST SCORE but deflected wide by Mignolet!
    • 45+2 Campbell is back on his feet. Remarkable. Oh, no, he’s down again.
    • 45+1 Poor Campbell is still down. Looks like he’s done his knee. They’ve carried him off so play can resume; two minutes added time.
    • 45' Campbell is cluchting his knee in agony after an innocuous collision with Richards. That looks bad as there was no kick, just an awkward landing.
    • 44' Milner slides Tevez in but Turner is back to hoof clear. He still limps a bit but they’ll hold out until half-time, ice him and see what happens.
    • 43' Richards with a foul throw. Yes, a foul throw, like at school.
    • 42' Ferdinand lumps it long and the home fans groan. There’s been a lot to groan about to be fair – this first half has been mediocre.
    • 41' After a promising attack by Sunderland, Richardson tries some kind of flashy backheel into the box that is nowhere near a team-mate.
    • 40' Loose ball from Milner is greeted by jeers from the Sunderland fans.
    • 39' Ferdinand gets forward but is unable to get a cross in.
    • 38' Eventually Turner stands up and limps to the sidelines. At least it’s not a break but I can’t see him lasting the 90.
    • 37' Turner is still receiving treatment to his right ankle after that thunderous collision with Lescott.
    • 36' Turner slides in strongly on Lescott to give away a corner but he has hurt himself too. Ankle I think...
    • 35' Milner wins a throw off Ferdinand. All a bit cagey and, frankly, full so far.
    • 34' Sunderland play keep ball for a while without getting forward, but suddenly Malbranque turns and feeds Henderson but he shoots well wide.
    • 33' Some interesting passing and running off the ball comes to a half when Malbranque gives it behind Richardson, who does well just to win a throw.
    • 32' Toure and Tevez lead a rapid break, a one-two-three and Toure is in but Mignolet rushes out to claim at his feet.
    • 31' Milner and Barry are over this, with Yaya Toure behind it. Looks like Toure wants it, no, he steps over it, Johnson chips it, headed clear. Rubbish.
    • 30' Richards with a neat ball to release Johnson, who tries a one-two with Milner but is fouled. Free-kick City around 30 yards out slightly to the right.
    • 29' Sunderland counter from the corner but Cattermole can’t find Bent and City clear.
    • 28' Tevez gets hold of the ball on the edge of the box after a shocking lapse from Richardson lets Richards in, but Tevez’s finish is weak and deflected wide for a corner.
    • 27' Richardson mis-controls and the away fans jeer in delight as he is a former United player.
    • 26' De Jong with another foul, on Campbell this time, and he is angered as he feels he took that ball and that Malbranque went studs-up on Tevez earlier. Henderson puts it in but Turner heads well wide with Richards all over him.
    • 25' De Jong fouls Malbranque in midfield and Sunderland can take a breather. Put in long, Toure clears.
    • 24' Good play by Richardson and Malbranque on the left but Kompany slides in and City clear.
    • 23' Milner does well to drag two defenders across and find Tevez on the edge of the box, but his lay-off to Yaya is loose and Sunderland clear. El-Mohamady wins a throw on the right.
    • 22' Lescott is almost playing as a winger, looking a touch dizzy up there as he tries but fails to combine with Tevez and Milner.
    • 21' Malbranque goes down heavily but no foul. Now Tevez, edge of the Sunderland box, goes down but again no foul.
    • 20' City counter as Yaya Toure bursts into the box but Cattermole recovers to put it behind for a corner. Milner plays it far post, everyone misses it and it lands at the feet of Kompany but his rising half-volley is blocked.
    • 19' Henderson and El-Mohamady combine on the right, the Egyptian is free on the wing now but Henderson tries the cross and it’s blocked.
    • 18' Was that the worst miss you've seen this season? Antolin Alcaraz's for Wigan against Spurs was rotten too, that's a pair of howlers in the first few weeks of the campaign.
    • 17' Clever reverse pass from Johnson but Tevez is beaten to it by Mignolet.
    • 16' El-Mohamady crosses from the right but cleared by Toure. His brother comes forward and Sunderland are wide open, Yaya finds Tevez with Mignolet nowhere AND TEVEZ BUT WHAT A MISS! ROSENTHAL! HORRIFIC! Open goal but he skies it!
    • 15' Malbranque tries to combine with El-Mohamady but Lescott gets back to block him off.
    • 14' Barry throws himself to the floor on the edge of the box after Richardson slid in. No foul.
    • 13' I have to say that this match has started in lukewarm fashion, City particularly pretty slow out of the blocks.
    • 12' Bent is caught offside. Sunderland pegging City back at the moment.
    • 11' Hart claims a fairly aimless long ball with confidence and orders his defence out. Easy to see why he’s preferred ahead of Given – the Irishman is a superb shot-stopper but at times last season City’s defence didn’t know who they were and Hart is a very good organiser.
    • 10' Malbranque is down now but he gets up pronto. Sunderland with a good spell after City started brightly.
    • 9' Yaya Toure is convinced he was fouled but play on. Sudnerland’s attack breaks down though, Johnson back defending.
    • 8' Toure on the right now as City play the ball around the back.
    • 7' Long ball down the left aimed for Lescott, who is very advanced in his role as a full-back, but too long for the former Wolves and Everton man.
    • 6' Bent picks it up from Malbranque and he feeds El-Mohamdy who races forward and digs out a shot but sends it well over.
    • 5' Sunderland have a free kick a good 35 yards out, played quickly to El-Mohamady but the cross is beyond everyone and out for a goal kick.
    • 4' Sunderland with a rare move forward but El-Mohamady’s cross is cleared by Kompany.
    • 3' Barry lofts it down the left but Turner sweeps up well and the stand-in keeper Mignolet clears.
    • 2' Milner gets the ball off Tevez as the Argentine falls but he cannot find Johnson and Sunderland clear.
    • 1' As you’d expect City have started on the front foot as Lescott, getting forward on the left, almost finds Tevez.
    • 1' The match kicks off, big noise in Sunderland.
    • 14:58 Match odds: Sunderland 15/4, Draw 13/5, Man City 8/11. Bet NOW on Eurosport Bet!
    • 14:55 CITY FACTS: City are unbeaten in eight matches away from home in the Premier League, though have drawn the last three. City (0 goals conceded) have faced just one fewer shot on target than Wigan (10 goals conceded) in the Premier League this season. 12 of City’s last 22 league goals have been scored or assisted by Carlos Tevez. Last season Man City scored 27 per cent of their goals in the 15 minutes before half-time, a higher proportion than any other side in the top flight.
    • 14:50 SUNDERLAND FACTS: Sunderland have lost just one of their last 11 Premier League home games but Steve Bruce’s side have kept just one clean sheet in their last 12 league matches. Two of the last three games between these sides have seen a Sunderland player sent off.
    • 14:45 FACTS: A draw at the Stadium of Light in March ended a run of nine consecutive Premier League wins for the Citizens against Sunderland. These sides have not shared a goalless draw in the league since 1938, a run of 56 games.
    • 14:40 Despite all their resources and a massive, star-filled squad, City keep with the same XI that beat Liverpool 3-0 on Monday. Micah Richards continues at right-back, and Joleon Lescott at left-back as Kolarov and Zabaleta again stay on the bench.
    • 14:35 Sunderland team news: Andy Reid does not make the bench after his late fitness test, so Waghorn is there instead. No surprises for the Black Cats, with Anton Ferdinand playing right-back in place of Nedum Onuoha, who is inelgible as he is on loan from City. Riveros makes way for Cattermole, back from a ban.
    • 14:30 TEAMS - Sunderland: Mignolet, Ferdinand, Turner, Bramble, Richardson, El-Mohamady, Henderson, Cattermole, Malbranque, Campbell, Bent; Subs: Carson, Bardsley, Zenden, Riveros, Welbeck, Colback, Waghorn /// Man City: Hart, Richards, Toure, Kompany, Lescott, Adam Johnson, De Jong, Toure Yaya, Barry, Milner, Tevez; Subs: Given, Zabaleta, Wright-Phillips, Adebayor, Silva, Vieira, Jo /// Referee: Mike Dean (Wirral).
    • 14:25 Manchester City midfielder James Milner will return to the squad after sitting out the Europa League over Timosoara as he was not registered. Striker Mario Balotelli could be back after a knee problem but Aleksandar Kolarov, Jerome Boateng and Wayne Bridge remain sidelined through injury. Emmanuel Adebayor has told manager Roberto Mancini to play him or lose him, but a departure this month is unlikely.
    • 14:20 Winless Sunderland are without Ghanaian defender John Mensah, who has a hamstring problem. Craig Gordon (broken arm) is still out, meaning Simon Mignolet continues, while George McCartney (ankle) and David Meyler (knee) are also injured. Andy Reid will undergo a late fitness test.
    • 14:15 Sunderland host Manchester City at the Stadium of Light in their Premier League clash starting at 3pm UK time.
