    • 90+4' FULL TIME. Lampard's penalty gives Chelsea a win that takes them into fourth, and ends City's unbeaten record.
    • 90+2' Excellent from Drogba down the right but when he tries to lob Hart from all of 40 yards he doesn't get the shot right.
    • 90+1' We will have four minutes of added time.
    • 90' Yaya Toure commits another foul. It is a miracle he is still on the pitch in all honesty.
    • 88' Chelsea close things up as John Obi Mikel comes on for Sturridge.
    • 87' Milner takes the free-kick but Balotelli can't get the necessary contact at the far post.
    • 86' Skills from Balotelli as he juggles it either side of Ramires and then goes to ground a touch late after being touched.
    • 86' Edin Dzeko replaces Lescott as City go for it.
    • 85' So the one remaining unbeaten record in the Premier League is now just five minutes away from expiring.
    • 84' Change for Chelsea as Florent Malouda is on to replace Mata.
    • 83' Again no celebration with the dugout. Villas-Boas must be fuming.
    • 82' GOAL! Chelsea 2-1 Manchester City! Lampard had a penalty saved against Newcastle but absolutely belts this down the middle. No doubt about that one.
    • 81' Penalty to Chelsea! Lescott handles from Sturridge's shot. His arms were right up in the air and you will always get punished for that.
    • 80' Lovely backheel from Drogba to Ramires but his shot is saved by Joe Hart.
    • 78' Drogba goes into the book for sliding in on Zabaleta from behind.
    • 77' Zabaleta pumps the ball out of play from the back as he runs out of ideas. City have lost anything approaching a rhythm or a plan here. They are just hoping to hold on.
    • 76' Stat from Opta: "The Londoners have scored a 90th-minute goal in three of their last four home Premier League games against Manchester City."
    • 75' A change for City as De Jong replaces Silva. That is City very much shutting up shop.
    • 74' Ramires goes into the book for a messy challenge on Yaya Toure.
    • 73' After Sturridge pulls a shot wide it is Meireles who is removed as Lampard enters the fray.
    • 72' Here's Frank. Mr Lampard is getting prepared on the touchline by Villas-Boas.
    • 71' Boswingwa dinks a cross into the box but Kompany rises to head clear. It is very apparent City are going to have to soak up considerable pressure in the final 20 minutes of this match.
    • 69' A decent effort from Balotelli as he sends a bouncing effort towards Cech that the keeper does well to smother.
    • 68' The momentum is firmly with Chelsea and Bosingwa delviers a tantalising cross from the right, only to see a host of Blue shirts fail to get on the end of it. Now Meireles has a shot blocked. Pressure on City.
    • 66' City are getting ragged here and even Silva indulges in the dark arts when body-checking his mate Mata.
    • 65' Aguero is the man sacrificed as Kolo Toure makes his way onto the pitch for City.
    • 64' Ramires then has a shot blocked before Romeu goes into the book for a pretty innocuous challenge on Balotelli.
    • 63' Mata looks to latch onto a clever ball over the top from Drogba and there is no offside flag, but City recover to clear.
    • 62' Stat from Infostrada: "Gael Clichy receives his first ever red card in the Premier League. City have now had three players sent off this season in the Premier League. Only Bolton Wanderers have received more red cards this season (5)."
    • 60' Kolo Toure is getting ready on the touchline so Joleon Lescott will be switching to left-back. But who comes off? Aguero or Balotelli?
    • 59' Drogba takes the subsequent free-kick but fires it over. Now, how do City respond to going a goal down?
    • 59' Clichy, who has been poor tonight, now misses the match against former side Arsenal at the weekend.
    • 58' Clichy is off! The France international commits a second foul in the space of 12 minutes, this time on Ramires when taking him down, and it is the right decision.
    • 57' Silva and Mata cover their mouths as they have a chat. Former team-mates at Valencia of course.
    • 56' We have a stoppage as Ramires goes down after being clattered into by Barry. He needs treatment on his ribs. Meanwhile, Mata is really beginning to enjoy himself.
    • 55' Villas-Boas is squatting on the sidelines, usually a sign of intense concentration on his part.
    • 54' Drogba slams in the free-kick but City are able to clear. This has been a good start to the second half by Chelsea.
    • 53' Lovely, lovely skills from Mata to get away from Toure and Kompany. The latter then charges into him from behind to concede a free-kick. Kompany has already been booked, remember.
    • 52' Balotelli gives the linesman a withering look after a decision goes against him. Apparently he heard he isn't a curry fan.
    • 51' Stat from Infostrada: "City have won six and drawn one of the last seven Premier League matches in which they were level at half-time. The one prior to that was their 2-0 defeat at Chelsea last season in which the Blues scored two second half goals."
    • 50' Replays show Toure trying to rake Ramires from behind. He has lost his head a bit tonight, hasn't he?
    • 49' Stat from Infostrada: "Since the beginning of 2004, Chelsea have lost only two matches in which they have levelled the scores at 1-1, winning 24 and drawing 19. The only teams to have still gone onto win having opened the scoring against Chelsea and been pegged back are Liverpool three weeks ago, and Wigan Athletic in September 2009."
    • 48' The free-kick finds it way to Sturridge and he has time to chest the ball down before blasting his effort just over the bar. A great chance.
    • 47' Sturridge continues to cause City problems as his pace forces Clichy to bring him down and attract a booking.
    • 46' KICK OFF!

    • - Charlie Head has this to say on Twitter: "Chelsea will recover from the early goal with majority of the possession and hopefully Chelsea will respond with another goal!" Follow Tom Adams on Twitter

    • 45+2' HALF-TIME. Aguero wastes a half chance before the half-time whistle blows at Stamford Bridge. Balotelli scored after two minutes before Meireles equalised.
    • 45+1' Meireles guilty of another foul, this time on Toure, and he has to be careful. Clattenburg tells him to take it down a notch.
    • 45+1' We will have two added minutes.
    • 45' has got a touch sloppy in recent minutes with neither side passing the ball very crisply. We are meandering towards half-time.
    • 44' Milner drops into a pocket of space on the right wing but gets his cross all wrong as the ball flies across the face of goal and out for a throw.
    • 42' Mata takes the free-kick and swings one in with that left foot of his, but Ivanovic can't get on the end of the ball as he leaps in the box.
    • 41' A very messy challenge from Vincent Kompany as he comes across to clatter into Drogba. It is no surprise to see Clattenburg reach for the yellow card.
    • 39' The ball drops nicely for Drogba 20 yards from goal but his emphatic volley is immediately blocked by a City shirt.
    • 38' Stat from Infostrada: "Raul Meireles scores his first Premier League goal for Chelsea. He never lost a PL match in which he scored for Liverpool, winning three and drawing two."
    • 37' I don't think the Chelsea players celebrated with Villas-Boas though. Fines all round tomorrow morning?
    • 36' Meireles clatters into Zabaleta with a poor, high challenge. Rightly a booking.
    • 34' GOAL! Chelsea 1-1 Manchester City! It is Meireles with the equaliser. Terry finds Sturridge with a glorious pass out to the left. He bemuses Clichy with a twist and a turn and fires in a cross to the midfielder, who dispatches an accomplished volley from eight yards.
    • 32' Ramires squats to clutch his left ankle after failing to get a pass away to a team-mate. Just a knock perhaps.
    • 31' Meireles comes in high and late on Silva and gets a talking to from Clattenburg. As Silva receives treatment, Mata is given words of encouragement from AVB. Presumably he is telling the Spaniard to ignore the media conspiracy orchestrated by Gary Neville.
    • 30' Villas-Boas catches the ball on the touchline and throws it to Meireles. Well, he did say he wanted to be more involved.
    • 29' A momentary worry but Drogba is back up and running and returns to the pitch.
    • 28' Drogba finds space as he drifts across the front of goal but his finish is poor as he drags his shot wide. In doing so he appears to hurt his left knee. Chelsea send on the physio.
    • 27' Meireles dinks a pass into Sturridge who appears to control well on his thigh, but Gael Clichy sneaks in to nick the ball away and clear.
    • 25' Chelsea's first proper chance falls to Drogba. The striker picks the ball up just outside the box, shifts one way and then the other before calling Hart into action with a low effort that is tipped round the post. He should have been ruled offside though.
    • 24' Silva robs the ball from Bosingwa and plays a fine pass into Milner as he beats the offside trap. However, the ball is taken wide and Aguero can't keep Milner's cross in play.
    • 22' Television cameras pick up Mata complaining to Toure about his kick on the leg, only for the City midfielder to give him a clip round the head. Toure has clearly got to Mata tonight.
    • 21' Terry is completely outpaced by Aguero after Balotelli fails to properly connect with a cross - the Chelsea defender appeared to be wading through honey.
    • 20' Mata goes down and as he protests for a foul, Toure gives him a little kick to the thigh. A bizarre thing to do by the Manchester City midfielder but it goes unpunished.
    • 19' Stat from Infostada: "Balotelli has broken the season record for scoring the opening goal in Premier League matches. Tonight's was his fifth opening goal of the season and he goes ahead of Javier Hernandez, Rafael van der Vaart and Robin van Persie who have all scored four openers."
    • 18' Chelsea have enjoyed 62 per cent possession so far but it is City who have created by far the better chances in West London.
    • 17' Didier Drogba supplies an excellent pass into the box but City just about scramble the ball away through Zabaleta.
    • 16' Balotelli lines up a free-kick from all of 35 yards and his effort flies high into the stands at Stamford Bridge. I think it is fair to say that Chelsea fans haven't taken to him.
    • 15' Well if it wasn't a penalty then surely Clattenburg had to book Silva? He didn't though.
    • 15' City want a penalty! Balotelli slips a square pass to Silva and instead of shooting he takes a touch to the left of Bosingwa, only to go to ground when the Portuguese sticks his leg out. Referee Mark Clattenburg tells him to get up though.
    • 14' Mancini's name rings out around Stamford Bridge, and why not? City have only dropped two points in 14 games in what has been the best ever start to a Premier League season.
    • 12' Stat from Infostrada: "The last time Manchester City lost a Premier League match after going 1-0 up was more than seven months ago, when they lost 2-1 at Everton. They have been pegged back to a draw twice this season after leading with one of these in West London. They drew 2-2 at Fulham after being two up and 1-1 at Liverpool after going 1-0 up."
    • 11' Chelsea fail to test Joe Hart from the corner and instead it is City who chase upfield. Aguero holds off Bosingwa, ducks inside Ashley Cole, and lashes a shot just wide of the near post.
    • 10' Mata gets a cross into the box from the left but Joleon Lescott heads clear. City then stand their ground with Meireles having a shot deflected over the bar. Corner to Chelsea.
    • 9' Aguero pulls a shot wide from 25 yards as City surge forward again. This has been a really excellent start at Stamford Bridge.
    • 8' Balotelli has a shot blocked and Chelsea go on the break through Juan Mata. His searching cross-field pass curls across the face of the box but Daniel Sturridge is penalised for tripping his marker when trying to collect.
    • 8' Romeu with a sloppy pass straight into the path of Gareth Barry. He then shifts the ball to Aguero, who is crowded out 20 yards from goal and loses possession.
    • 7' Balotelli tries to play in Aguero with a fine pass but Jose Bosingwa comes across to snuff out the danger for Chelsea.
    • 6' Champions League, you're having a laugh is the chant from the Chelsea fans as they try and respond to the vociferous away support. But City's eyes are firmly fixed on the Premier League.
    • 5' Stats from Infostrada: "Mario Balotelli scores Manchester City's fastest goal of the season and is only the fifth player to score in the first two minutes of a Premier League match for City ... Balotelli has scored on all of his Premier League starts for Manchester City this season. That one makes it five out of five."
    • 4' Raul Meireles gets a sight of goal and thumps one well off target from 25 yards. Chelsea are shell-shocked after conceding so early in the game.
    • 3' That is Balotelli's eighth goal in 10 Premier League appearances. He celebrated in typical fashion, holding out his arms with little emotion on his face, and appeared to get a few missiles thrown at him.
    • 2' GOAL! Chelsea 0-1 Manchester City! What a start by City! Mario Balotelli with the goal as he just stays on, slips past Petr Cech and taps the ball home. However, Sergio Aguero did superbly well to hold onto the ball and play in the Italian.
    • 2' Oriol Romeu drops deep to receive the ball from the Chelsea defence his first-time pass pinged out to Ashley Cole has too much on it for the left-back.
    • 1' KICK OFF!
    • 19.58 The teams are coming out of the tunnel at a rain-swept Stamford Bridge so time to squeeze one more stat in, this time from Infostrada: "Frank Lampard is on the bench for the third time this season in the Premier League. The two matches he didn't start, against Swansea City and Wolverhampton Wanderers, were Chelsea's two biggest home wins in this season's Premier League."
    • 19.55 Want to have your say on tonight's game? Get in contact with me on Twitter and I will use some of your comments here. Follow Tom Adams on Twitter
    • 19.50 Time for some Opta stats: "In the last 13 Premier League meetings with Chelsea, the Citizens have failed to score in nine. City have failed to score in eight of their last nine league visits to Stamford Bridge. Juan Mata has now assisted seven goals in his last nine Premier League appearances for Chelsea – only David Silva (8) has more assists this season. Man City have made the best ever start to a Premier League season with 38 points from their opening 14 matches."
    • 19.45 Chelsea's manager has been making headlines of his own of late. Not content with accusing the media of "persecuting" Chelsea, Andre Villas-Boas has also had a pop at Alan Pardew and Gary Neville recently, as well as asking his players to involve him in celebrations. Very Phil Brown-esque, if you ask me. AVB hits out at Neville
    • 19.40 So Balotelli plays tonight despite breaking a club curfew and being fined £150,000 when going for a curry in Manchester, as well as having a pretend sword fight using rolling pins. That is manna from heaven for the tabloids so expect some curry puns if he scores the winner. Balotelli's £150,000 curry
    • 19.35 City, who have not played since their Champions League disappointment, bring in Pablo Zabaleta for Stefan Savic at the back, while Samir Nasri and Edin Dzeko are replaced by James Milner and Mario Balotelli.
    • 19.30 We are still awaiting confirmation of the two sets of subs but Frank Lampard and Fernando Torres will be on there for Chelsea, who make one enforced change as the suspended David Luiz is replaced by Jose Bosingwa, with Branislav Ivanovic moving to centre-back.
    • 19.25 TEAM NEWS: Chelsea: Cech, Bosingwa, Ivanovic, Terry, Cole, Ramires, Romeu, Meireles, Sturridge, Drogba, Mata. Subs: Turnbull, Ferreira, Mikel, Lampard, Malouds, Kalou, Torres. /// Man City: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy, Toure Yaya, Barry, Milner, Silva, Balotelli, Aguero. Subs: Pantilimon, Savic, K Toure, De Jong, Nasri, Johnson, Dzeko.
    • 19.20 Manchester City have dropped only four points in the league all season and sit two points clear of Manchester United with this their game in hand. Chelsea start the night fifth after being overtaken by Arsenal but a draw would be enough for them to take back a top-four spot. Talk of a Chelsea crisis has stopped after 3-0 wins against Newcastle and Valencia.
    • 19.15 Hello and welcome to our live coverage of Monday's big Premier League tie between Chelsea and Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.
