    • 90+4' FULL TIME. An absolute hammering is dished out as Liverpool put five past Swansea. You can see the full scorers above, needless to say this was a very good day for Rodgers.
    • 90+3' Swansea, meanwhile, will have to put this out of their minds quickly with the Capital One Cup final just a week away.
    • 90+2' Little to report, so let me remind you that with this victory Liverpool will overtake Swansea for seventh place in the league table.
    • 90' We will have three added minutes.
    • 89' Liverpool are just coasting towards this comprehensive victory now.
    • 88' Stat from Infostrada: "Coming into today's match, Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool were ranked ninth and on pace to amass 53 points this season. Last season, their 52 points led them to an eighth place finish."
    • 86' Liverpool have made all their changes so they are down to 10 men. Not that it matters.
    • 85' Borini is howling in pain and clutching his shoulder after a challenge with Bartley. He appeared to trap his arm under his body and is straight off the pitch.
    • 83' Swansea bring on Angel Rangel for Shechter to try and keep the scoreline down.
    • 82' Borini slips a pass back for Johnson and the defender curls a lovely effort just wide of the post.
    • 81' Do Liverpool have any more goals in them today?
    • 79' Stat from Infostrada: "This match is the first in the PL era in which two different Liverpool players have converted a penalty in the same league match."
    • 78' Anfield rises to its feet to cheer off Suarez as he is replaced by Fabio Borini, also formerly of Swansea.
    • 77' And Hernandez comes straight off to be replaced by Dyer.
    • 76' Hernandez into the book for a foul on Agger.
    • 75' Henderson and Downing combine before the former chips a cross to the back post but Sturridge has already started his run to the penalty spot.
    • 74' Swansea try to stem the bleeding as Nathan Dyer gets ready.
    • 73' A poor clearance from Monk and Sturridge curls a lovely shot at goal that clips the top of the bar. This is officially a massacre.
    • 72' Liverpool make a change as Lucas comes off and is replaced by Joe Allen, formerly of Swansea of course.
    • 72' GOAL! Liverpool 5-0 Swansea! Sturridge sweeps the ball home from 12 yards for a deserved fifth. Vorm went the right way but couldn't reach it.
    • 71' PENALTY TO LIVERPOOL! Routledge with a ridiculous handball up in the air to prevent Suarez getting to a cross.
    • 69' Stat from Infostrada: "Liverpool's biggest home win this season was the 5-0 against Norwich on 19 January 2013. Leaguewide, there has been only one bigger victory this season, Chelsea's 8-0 against Villa on 23 December."
    • 68' Still the chances keep on coming for Liverpool as Gerrard has a shot blocked from the edge of the box. This has been one-sided, to say the very least.
    • 67' BIG CHANCE FOR LIVERPOOL! Henderson slips a lovely pass through for Sturridge and he tries to beat Vorm at his near post with a finish off the outside of his boot. It nearly comes off, but for a fine save.
    • 66' Suarez tries to wriggle away from two men in the box but can't get a clean shot away.
    • 65' Johnson tries to beat Vorm from 40 yards but gets his execution all wrong.
    • 64' Lamah is replaced by Wayne Routledge, which should help Swansea out a bit.
    • 63' CHANCE FOR LIVERPOOL! Sturridge beats the offside trap to race clear on goal and is denied by a smart save from Vorm. Suarez meets the follow-up but his effort is blocked by Bartley.
    • 62' Stat from Infostrada: "Luis Suarez with his 18th PL goal of the season, is now one behind the league leading 19 by Robin van Persie."
    • 61' A change as the lively Coutinho gets a rest and Jordan Henderson comes on.
    • 61' That was an embarrassing dive from Sturridge - there's no two ways about it.
    • 60' Sturridge howls for a penalty after going to ground following a touch from Tiendalli in the box but Webb is having none of it.
    • 58' Swansea still have a week until the cup final - did they really need to rest all these players? Not sure a hammering is great preparation.
    • 57' Three goals in 11 minutes in the second half for Liverpool. This is officially a rout.
    • 56' GOAL! Liverpool 4-0 Swansea. Lovely stuff from Suarez as he collects a pass from Downing, jinks away from two men and then buries a curling effort inside the post. Wonderful football.
    • 56' Now Sturridge tries to flick the ball into the path of Suarez but doesn't quite pull it off.
    • 55' Stat from Infostrada: "That is only the second career PL goal by José Enrique, following his goal against Wigan on 17 Nov 2012, a match that resulted in a 3-0 Liverpool home victory."
    • 54' Agger sends a header over the bar after getting to the ball ahead of his man. Liverpool have created so many chances today.
    • 52' Swansea really have been very poor indeed. How much benefit is a hammering going to do morale ahead of the final?
    • 51' Liverpool now on course to record a first win against a top-10 side in the Premier League this season.
    • 50' GOAL! Liverpool 3-0 Swansea! An absolutely brilliant team goal. Suarez cushions a pass to Enrique, who releases Sturridge with a sumptuous backheel. Sturridge controls and then plays in Enrique who stabs the shot home. Glorious football.
    • 49' Liverpool have picked up where they finished off at the start of the second half. Utter domination of a poor Swansea side.
    • 48' Lucas gets a kick to the face and play stops. It doesn't look serious though.
    • 47' COUTINHO GOES CLOSE! Suarez takes the loose ball after it strikes Downing on the back and rolls a pass across the box with the outside of his boot. Coutinho meets it with a backheeled flick which sneaks just wide!
    • 47' Not a bad way to mark your full debut, that. Questions will be asked of Vorm's attempt at a save though.
    • 46' GOAL! Liverpool 2-0 Swansea. Just 15 seconds after the restart, Suarez plays in Coutinho from the left and the Brazilian takes it forward before firing in a firm effort that Vorm fails to keep out despite getting a hand to the ball.
    • 46' KICK OFF! We are back underway at Anfield.
    • - Zac has this to say on Twitter: "Knowing liverpool... we'll dominate the whole game, squander 20 chances, concede a late goal then either draw 1-1 or lose 2-1!"
    • - What did you make of the first half? Let me know on Twitter now. Tom Adams (tomEurosport) on Twitter
    • 45+1' That's that for the first half. Liverpool in control against a weak Swansea side thanks to Gerrard's penalty.
    • 45' We will have one added minute.
    • 44' Monk is left completely alone from a Swansea free-kick but when trying to arch his head to meet the ball he instead connects with the nape of his neck and the ball spins away.
    • 42' A rare chance for Swansea as De Guzman gets a sight of goal from outside the box and drags a meek right-footed effort at goal. Reina gathers with ease.
    • 40' CHANCE FOR LIVERPOOL! Suarez plays in Sturridge and the forward draws Vorm before trying to dink an effort across for Coutinho at the back post. It is cut out.
    • 39' Now Coutinho takes aim from 20 yards out following a passing move but his effort is blocked.
    • 38' Coutinho plays in Suarez square but the pass is a bit behind the forward. Downing then takes up the ball and a right-footed effort is deflected up into the air.
    • 37' Anfield scents blood with Liverpool taking Swansea apart at the moment.
    • 36' Liverpool pour forward. Downing's cross finds Suarez at the back post and his cross for Sturridge is dangerous, only for Vorm to get a hand to it. After a goalmouth scramble, Gerrard has a shot blocked.
    • 35' Agustien came over and clattered Suarez clumsily as he hit the byline. There was no need for such a rash act and Swansea have paid for it.
    • 34' GOAL! Liverpool 1-0 Swansea! After a delay due to a bit of argument over the award, Gerrard sneaks his shot inside the right-hand post, with Vorm only inches away.
    • 33' PENALTY TO LIVERPOOL! Agustien needlessly knocks into Suarez and sends him to the floor.
    • 32' Suarez slips a square pass in for Gerrard and his effort cannons off the back of Britton to soar out for a corner.
    • 31' After Lamah spreads the ball wide with the outside of his boot, Tiendalli plays in Britton and his cross is plucked out of the air by Reina.
    • 30' Lucas chips in with a shot from range but it is too close to Vorm. Liverpool are peppering the away goal with chance after chance.
    • 29' Suarez threads a glorious pass through the visiting defence for Sturridge, who appears to give up when Vorm races off his line to smother the ball.
    • 28' Agustien now slips a pass in for Shechter on the edge of the box but the striker is ruled offside as he tries to turn and get a shot away.
    • 27' Agustien slides in to whip the ball away from Sturridge at the defensive line. An important intervention.
    • 26' Bartley didn't get a lot of the ball so if Webb did deem it a foul then perhaps he should have pointed to the spot. Liverpool had a clear shot at goal through Coutinho, but a penalty is a penalty.
    • 25' HUGE CHANCE FOR LIVERPOOL! Suarez plays in Sturridge and the forward pulls off some tricks to jink away from two men in the box. He appears to draw a foul from Kyle Bartley but Webb plays advantage and Coutinho must score. Instead he slots the ball wide from close range.
    • 24' Good composure from Ben Davies as he loses two men before spreading the ball wide.
    • 23' HUGE CHANCE FOR LIVERPOOL! Downing finds space on the right and delivers a tantalising cross for Sturridge, who leaps to meet the ball from eight yards out but heads over the bar! He just got under it.
    • 22' A rare break for Swansea as Pablo Hernandez takes the ball down the right and sends in a cross, but the retiring Jamie Carragher clears for Liverpool.
    • 21' Suarez goes to ground after contact with Monk but fails to win the free-kick. Monk gives him a piece of his mind.
    • 20' Another chance for Suarez as he controls the ball on his chest before trying to hook a volley over Vorm and dip it under the bar. He puts too much on it though and sends it over.
    • 19' Suarez with the free-kick this time and he bends it over the bar. Not exactly Bale-esque, which is obviously the new benchmark by which every set-piece must be judged.
    • 18' Now Suarez gets in amongst things again and is fouled by Dwight Tiendalli 20 yards from goal. The defender protests he got a bit of the ball and the replays are inconclusive.
    • 17' After a lengthy delay due to some mischief in the wall, Gerrard smacks the ball against the wall and Suarez hammers the rebound high and wide.
    • 15' Johnson plays in Suarez 20 yards from goal and he draws a foul from Leon Britton to earn Liverpool a free-kick in a dangerous position.
    • 14' Now Daniel Sturridge peels off on the left and gets a shot away. However, it deflects behind for a corner and after the ball is delivered, Downing hammers another shot off target following a pass from Suarez.
    • 13' In comes the set-piece and Johnson is free to meet it at the back post, but his header doesn't find the target.
    • 12' Garry Monk is forced to head over the bar and wide to concede a corner to Liverpool...
    • 11' Downing fires another shot wide of the post, this time by a few yards, as he cuts in from the right.
    • 10' Suarez pops a neat pass through for Jose Enrique and then races in as he anticipates a spill from Vorm that never arrives. Lively as always.
    • 9' From the corner, Lamah gets a scuffed shot away and the ball appears to strike the arm of Glen Johnson. However, it's tucked into his torso and there was little intent.
    • 8' Chance for Swansea! Roland Lamah exploits some poor defending from Daniel Agger as he roams free in the box and hits the byline, but Jamie Carragher sticks out a leg to block the pull-back for Shechter.
    • 7' Lucas is penalised for thumping into a challenge on Agustien in midfield but Howard Webb resists the temptation to pull out a yellow card.
    • 6' Suarez gets a bit of space to the right of the box and has his first shot of the afternoon, getting a rifled effort away that forces Michel Vorm into a comfortable save.
    • 5' Stat from Opta: "Swansea have won just one of their last six league matches on the road (D3 L2)."
    • 4' Plenty of pressure from Liverpool early on - they will be keen to get at this rather makeshift Swansea defence.
    • 3' Luis Suarez is left holding his face following a battle with Kemy Agustien in the centre of the park. Nothing sinister though, and we continue.
    • 2' Liverpool win an early corner and Steven Gerrard's delivery picks out Stewart Downing in space. He meets the ball with a cushioned volley off the instep which flies wide.
    • 1' KICK OFF! Liverpool attacking left to right in their traditional red kit.

    • 14:50 Of course, this is the key stat when it comes to Liverpool at present: "Liverpool are yet to enjoy a victory over a side in the top half of the division this season (D7 L7). "
    • 14:45 Some Opta stats for you: "Liverpool have not scored against Swansea City since they were promoted to the Barclays Premier League last season; drawing blanks in all three previous league meetings (D2 L1). Luis Suarez did score in the last clash between the two at Anfield (in the Capital One Cup); however, Swansea ran out 3-1 winners."
    • 14:40 Liverpool are without a win in five games in all competitions and currently sit ninth in the table, one point behind today's opponents. Rodgers's recent rhetoric has seemed a bit detached from reality of late, a subject Early Doors touched on on Friday. Comical Brendan leaving himself open to ridicule
    • 14:35 Today pits Brendan Rodgers against his former side of course, and he came out with a choice quote in his press conference this week: "You can live without water for so many days, but you can't live a second without hope."
    • 14:30 For Liverpool, Coutinho makes his full debut following a January move from Inter as he and Daniel Sturridge replace Jordan Henderson and Jonjo Shelvey from the side that lost 2-0 to West Brom on Monday night.
    • 14:25 No fewer than eight changes for Swansea, who have one eye on their League Cup final against Bradford next week, and crucially no Michu. That anguished scream you hear up and down the land is the howl of frustrated fantasy football managers.
    • 14:20 TEAMS: Liverpool - Reina, Johnson, Enrique, Agger, Carragher, Lucas, Gerrard, Coutinho, Downing, Sturridge, Suarez. Subs: Gulacsi, Skrtel, Henderson, Shelvey, Sterling, Allen, Borini. //// Swansea - Vorm; Tiendalli, Bartley, Monk, Davies; Britton, Agustien, De Guzman; Hernandez, Lamah, Shechter. Subs: Tremmel, Rangel, Williams, Michu, Routledge, Dyer, Moore.
