  • Live Commentary

    • - Don't forget you can watch highlights of this match, along with every Premier League game, from 00:01 on Wednesday morning (UK only).
    • 90+5' FULL TIME. A welcome win for Fulham as Berbatov and Kacaniklic give them a 2-1 win over West Brom. Lukaku was on target for the visitors.
    • 90+4' Fulham survive! A low pass comes in from the left and Morrison's backheel is saved by Stockdale, who is congratulated by his relieved colleagues.
    • 90+3' Berbatov is taken off as Philippe Senderos comes on in his place.
    • 90+1' West Brom go close! Jones makes another adventurous run down the right and firs in a dangerous cross that Hangeland does well to hoof clear.
    • 90' We will have three added minutes.
    • 89' Now Stockdale has to be alert to clasp an effort from Morrison as West Brom push for a late equaliser.
    • 88' Kacaniklic thumps in a shot from the left but it is too close to Foster and the keeper smothers the ball.
    • 87' Briggs smashes into Jones as West Brom win a corner. Morrison delivers and Lukaku, again, heads wide. He has been a constant menace.
    • 85' Replays show Ruiz should have had a penalty when being brought to ground by Mulumbu. The West Brom midfielder has got away with a lot today.
    • 84' A change for West Brom as George Thorne replaces Brunt.
    • 83' Rodallega plays in Berbatov with a cut-back and his shot is deflected wide by McAuley for a corner.
    • 82' Lukaku drives in a dangerous cross from the left of the box but Fulham clear from the fingers of Stockdale at the near post.
    • 81' Nice work from Dejagah as he drives a shot just off target from 20 yards. Fulham want to put this beyond doubt.
    • 80' Ruiz's ball into the box is cleared by West Brom but Fulham regain possession and Dejagah releases Ruiz with a lovely touch. The foward can't get a shot away though.
    • 79' Tamas makes a rather messy clearance from a cross from the right and that gives Fulham a corner.
    • 77' A poor effort from Rodallega as he smashes the ball over the bar from 20 yards out.
    • 76' A change for Fulham as Hugo Rodallega replaces Karagounis. An attacking change from Jol, strangely enough.
    • 75' A cross flashes across the Fulham goal but Long stops it going out of play. He then delivers a cross for Lukaku, who sends his header just wide.
    • 74' Ruiz with another pass through the centre of the pitch for Kacaniklic, who turns to take the ball on his left. He is harried off the ball by a host of West Brom shirts though.
    • 73' Long leaps to meet a cross from the right but his firm header is too close to Stockdale as another chance passes West Brom by.
    • 72' The two men are then involved in a coming together as the referee has to intervene. Berba's not happy and you can understand why.
    • 71' Berbatov is penalised for handball and then quickly draws a foul from Tamas, who rakes his studs down the Bulgarian's leg. That wasn't pretty.
    • 70' Hangeland heads behind when cutting out a cross as West Brom apply more pressure in search of an equaliser.
    • 69' Berba is shouting for a pass from Kacaniklic but has strayed offside by the time it comes. He looks frustrated.
    • 67' Lukaku has moved to the left as Long takes up position in the central striker's role. West Brom immediately string a fantastic move together but they fail to get a shot away.
    • 65' Two changes for West Brom as Fortune and Gera are replaced by Odemwingie and Long.
    • 64' Mulumbu is in enforcer mode again as he clatters into Karagounis but escapes a booking. The Greece international doesn't look too impressed.
    • 63' Stat from Infostrada: "Fulham are unbeaten in matches in which Alexander Kacaniklic scores this season, beating Norwich 4-0 in August and drawing 3-3 at Arsenal on November."
    • 62' Panic in the West Brom defence but Foster gets the ball clear. All the defenders on the pitch look a bit on edge at the moment.
    • 61' What an entertaining second half this has been - a total contrast to the first.
    • 60' Mulumbu is the first name in the book for hanging out a leg and bringing down Karagounis. Oh no he isn't - the ref decides against it.
    • 58' GOAL! West Brom 1-2 Fulham! Having been battered in the second half, Kacaniklic runs onto a pass from Ruiz, spins to lose to men and then finishes past Foster, who ridiculously had run to the edge of his own box to leave himself exposed.
    • 56' Fulham are being completely overrun at the moment - they need to get a grip of this game soon.
    • 55' How have West Brom not scored?? Lukaku has a firm shot saved by Stockdale and the ball rolls to Gera, who strikes the outside of the post. Brunt runs onto the loose ball and curls one towards the top corner, only for Hughes to head away at the crucial moment!
    • 54' West Brom have been fantastic in this second half.
    • 52' Stat from Infostrada: "West Brom top scorer Romelu Lukaku scores his 7th EPL goal this season. West Brom have won 4 PL matches in which Lukalu scored this season, losing the other two. West Brom have won all three EPL home matches in which Lukaku scored this season."
    • 51' West Brom hit the woodwork! Morrison chips a ball through to Lukaku, and he muscles Hughes off the ball before striking his shot against the outside of the post.
    • 50' Hint of offside about the goal? Lukaku appeared to be just in front of Jones when the ball was played. It wasn't an own goal either, despite Sascha Riether sliding in as he struck it.
    • 49' GOAL! West Brom 1-1 Fulham! Lukaku levels! Fortune embarks on a brilliant run through midfield to find Jones on the right. He then tricks his way past Briggs all too easily to square for the striker, who taps in from close range.
    • 48' Berbatov gets clattered by Mulumbu as his head strikes the midfielder's arm. He needs a bit of treatment and looks a touch dazed.
    • 47' Stat from Infostrada: "Fulham are leading in an away match at half-time for the second time this season and for the first time since 22 September 2012 when they won 2-1 at Wigan leading 1-0 at half-time."
    • 47' No changes from either side but I don't imagine it will be too long before we see Shane Long if Fulham continue to lead.
    • 46' KICK OFF!
    • 45+2' HALF TIME. Berbatov the difference between the two sides as Fulham enjoy a 1-0 lead at the Hawthorns.
    • 45+1' Morrison tries to get on the end of a cross that is flicked on but the midfielder can't get the right connection on the ball at the back post.
    • 45' We will have one added minute.
    • 44' Stat from Opta: "Five of Fulham’s last six Premier League games have gone over 2.5 goals."
    • 43' Ridgewell picks out an unmarked Mulumbu at the penalty spot with a decent cross but the midfielder can only direct his header wide.
    • 41' West Brom hit by a classic sucker punch there. They were on top and attacking when Berbatov and Karagounis led a quick breakaway.
    • 40' Stat from Infostrada: "Berbatov is the first player to score for Fulham at The Hawthorns since Scott Carson in October 2010 in Fulham's 2-1 loss vs West Brom. "
    • 39' GOAL! West Brom 0-1 Fulham! A lovely assist from Dejagah on the counter-attack. The winger twists his way past Ridgewell and cuts back for Berba, who side-foots home past Ben Foster.
    • 38' A brief rally from Fulham but West Brom have certainly had the better of a pretty dismal first half.
    • 37' Karagounis spots a sight at goal but lifts his shot high over the bar when swinging his boot through it. A disappointing effort when he had team-mates to aim for in the box.
    • 36' Stockdale looks unconvincing yet again when Mulumbu leaps for the corner. West Brom would do well to target him with high balls.
    • 35' Hangeland with an important block but he gives away a corner in the process...
    • 34' Fantastic challenge by Ruiz to win possession back for Fulham - not his usual behaviour - as Karagounis somehow doesn't get a free-kick when being bundled to ground 20 yards from goal.
    • 32' Replays show that from the West Brom corner on 26 minutes, Hughes appeared to leave his arm sticking out to connect with the ball. A good shout for a penalty.
    • 31' Berbatov should have kept calm there really.
    • 30' Berbatov and Dejagah combine beautifully on the break and after Brunt makes a poor attempt to intercept, Berbatov smashes a shot high over the bar.
    • 29' The resulting corner picks out Tamas on the penalty spot but after beating Hughes to the ball he sends his header flying wide of the far post. Fulham under real pressure.
    • 28' Lukaku wins possession wide on the right flank, drives into the box and sees his shot blocked by an excellent sliding intervention from Sidwell.
    • 27' Fulham's last EPL victory on New Year's Day dates back to 2005, when they beat Crystal Palace 3-1.
    • 26' Brede Hangeland requires a bit of treatment and then when play continues he heads behind rather unnecessarily. Stockdale flaps at the delivery but Fulham go unpunished.
    • 25' A set-piece from the left is cleared out to Morrison and his shot from the edge of the box is blocked in its infancy. Now West Brom win another corner as the pressure grows on Fulham.
    • 24' Stockdale has to be alert again and smothers a cross from the right as Lukaku lurks with intent in the box.
    • 23' Fortune makes a darting run into the box but Morrison can't pick him out with the pass. A ball then comes through for Lukaku but David Stockdale is off his line quickly to gather.
    • 21' More possession from Fulham but again they find it hard to break down the home side, who are defending very well so far.
    • 20' Some nice one-touch passing from Fulham as they play the ball around the face of the West Brom box, but they can't get a shot away.
    • 19' Brunt delivers the free-kick from a wide position and Gareth McAuley leaps to meet it at the back post, directing a header well wide.
    • 18' Berbatov muscles Mulumbu off the ball and is penalised for doing so. The Bulgarian looks furious.
    • 17' Stat from Infostrada: "Fulham manager Martin Jol played for West Brom from 1982 to 1984. "
    • 16' According to West Brom's official Twitter feed, Baggies fans clapped during the eighth minute to pay tribute to Chelsea's 8-0 mauling of Aston Villa.
    • 15' Dejagah with a rather risky move as he performs a tricky turn not far from his own box. Fulham manage to clear though.
    • 14' West Brom try to mount an attack following the set-piece but Sidwell puts in a tackle to prevent Fortune from finding Brunt down the line.
    • 13' Baggies skipper Chris Brunt heads away from an Alexander Kacaniklic cross and Fulham win a corner...
    • 12' Steve Sidwell drives forward from midfield and gets a shot away from 25 yards out. However, it flies well off target.
    • 11' That was the best moment of the match so far - which tells you about the excitement on display today.
    • 10' Karagounis delivers a corner from the left for Fulham and though Aaron Hughes makes the right run to meet the ball at the near post, he can't get the necessary connection with his head.
    • 9' Fortune tries to drive into space down the West Brom right but Matthew Briggs puts in a perfectly timed tackle to dispossess him.
    • 8' James Morrison chases onto a ball down the line from Ridgewell but the Scotland international is guilty of a poor touch as he allows the ball to run out of play.
    • 7' West Brom look for Lukaku over the top for the first time but he strays offside when Liam Ridgewell pumps the ball upfield.
    • 6' Ruiz tries to duck inside two men on the edge of the West Brom box but the Costa Rican forward is brought to a halt.
    • 5' Giorgos Karagounis finds space on the left flank but Gabriel Tamas heads away for West Brom when the cross comes in.
    • 4' Not a single shot to speak of yet, and little action too, but Fulham have settled into their stride quite well and are using the full breadth of the pitch at the Hawthorns.
    • 2' A low key start to proceedings. Ashkan Dejagah pushing up high on the right of the Fulham midfield.
    • 1' KICK OFF! Fulham kicking left to right in their rather unappealing orange kit.
    • 12:45 It's a bright, crisp afternoon at the Hawthorns as the players stream out onto the pitch...
    • 12:40 West Brom had a fantastic first half of the season under Clarke while Fulham will be hoping a new year brings a change of fortunes. Who will get 2013 off to a flier? Stick with us to find out.
    • 12:35 Need a New Year's resolution? How about following our official Twitter account? Follow Eurosport on Twitter!
    • 12:30 Time for some Opta stats: "West Brom have won only three of their 13 Premier League encounters with Fulham, but all three of those wins have come at the Hawthorns. WBA have failed to score in three of their last four league encounters with Fulham. Fulham are only two points worse off than at this point last season."
    • 12:25 Jol makes one change for Fulham following a 2-1 loss to Swansea as Alexander Kacaniklic comes in for Kerim Frei. Dimitar Berbatov plays alongside Bryan Ruiz in a delicious attack, though I fancy West Brom to get the win today.
    • 12:20 West Brom make five changes from the side that lost at Old Trafford with Youssouf Mulumbu overcoming a hamstring injury to start with Zoltan Gera, James Morrison, Marc-Antoine Fortune and Romelu Lukaku. Markus Rosenberg, Peter Odemwingie, Shane Long, George Thorne and Graham Dorrans are out.
    • 12:15 TEAMS: West Brom: Foster, Jones, McAuley, Tamas, Ridgewell, Mulumbu, Brunt, Fortune, Morrison, Gera, Lukaku. Subs: Myhill, Thorne, Jara, Dawson, Rosenberg, Long, Odemwingie. /// Fulham: Stockdale, Riether, Hughes, Hangeland, Briggs, Dejagah, Sidwell, Karagouinis, Kacaniklic, Ruiz, Berbatov. Subs: Etheridge, Senderos, Baird, Kasami, Richardson, Rodallega, Frei.
    • 12:10 West Brom, by contrast, are nicely placed in seventh and will go joint fourth with Tottenham, if only briefly, with a win. They lost last time out at Manchester United, bringing to an end a run of two consecutive wins.
    • 12:05 Hope you are all in fine form and not nursing a horrid hangover after last night's festivities. What better way to bring in the New Year than watching Fulham at West Brom, eh? Martin Jol's side have lost three of their past four games and are just four points clear of the drop zone.
    • 12:00 Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the first Premier League fixture of 2013 as struggling Fulham visit Steve Clarke's West Brom.
