    • 90+2' FULL TIME. Suarez with a hat-trick and Downing with one as Liverpool go seventh in the Premier League. Wigan were woeful at the back.
    • 90+1' This game is petering out into a very satisfactory result for Liverpool. Suarez the star of the show but Reina and Coutinho both excelled too.
    • 90' We will have two minutes of added time.
    • 89' LIVERPOOL GO CLOSE! Agger gets his head to the ball and Henderson nods it on, only for McCarthy to clear off the line.
    • 88' Liverpool win a late corner and here comes Agger...
    • 86' Enrique tries to thread a pass through foe Suarez to claim his fourth but Alcaraz, who has brought an element of calm to the defence, intercepts.
    • 85' Liverpool will go seventh with this victory, while Wigan are just four points clear of QPR now.
    • 84' Espinoza brings Allen to ground with a poor challenge but he is spared a booking.
    • 82' Liverpool suddenly have four on three as they threaten t overwhelm the home defence but Alcaraz sticks in a boot as Allen threatens to strike the ball home from the centre of the box.
    • 81' There's very little happening in this game, it must be said. Going through the motions.
    • 80' Stat from Infostrada: "Liverpool are looking to record their biggest PL away win in almost three years, since winning 4-0 at Burnley on 25 April 2010."
    • 78' Lovely stuff from McManaman as he embarks on a jinking run. His cross finds Maloney at the back post and he cuts onto his right before curling in a firm effort that Reina keeps out.
    • 76' All the noise coming from the away fans as Wigan forlornly go forward, with Kone having a shot quickly blocked.
    • 75' Stat from Opta: "Luis Suarez is one of just three players from Europe’s top five leagues to fire in more than 100 shots (excluding blocked) so far this season (along with Messi and Ronaldo)."
    • 74' Martinez is still hollering at his players from the touchline but this game is over.
    • 72' Liverpool's fans chant in support of Rafa Benitez, who is having a tough time of things you may have heard.
    • 71' Wigan are being given the run-around by Liverpool here. They have looked shapeless and clueless today.
    • 70' A change for Liverpool as the impressive Coutinho is replaced by Jordan Henderson.
    • 69' Stat from Infostrada: "Luis Suarez becomes the fourth player with at least three PL hat-tricks away from home, after Robbie Fowler (3), Wayne Rooney (4) and Michael Owen (5)."
    • 68' As much as Suarez has been brilliant - and he's obviously the man of the match - Reina has also been very important for Liverpool today.
    • 67' GREAT SAVE! Reina excels again when flinging out an arm to keep out a header from Maloney, and then punches away rather unconvincingly under pressure.
    • 66' Maloney delivers the free-kick but Carragher gets a good header in to clear for Liverpool.
    • 65' Lucas, on a yellow, barges into Maloney 20 yards from goal to give away a free-kick...
    • 64' Caldwell was nursing an injury when he came off by the way, something that might concern Wigan as they look ahead to what will surely be a long battle against the drop.
    • 62' McManaman comes on against Liverpool, Callum of course. He replaces Beausejour.
    • 60' Coutinho plays in Gerrard with a fine pass but the cross from the captain is headed away. Coutinho really has looked good today.
    • 59' Superb close control from Coutinho and as he runs out of space he draws a foul and a yellow card for McArthur, who clattered him to ground.
    • 57' Maloney and Espinoza combine before Kone challenges Reina for the ball. The keeper wins a free-kick but there was little in it and it should have been a corner to Wigan.
    • 56' Suarez swerves away from McArthur and tries to hit the byline but ends up running the ball out of play.
    • 55' Liverpool in complete control here. Wigan have been pretty poor it must be said.
    • 54' Figueroa's free-kick smacks Suarez in the wall as Reina is protected by the striker. Not a great attempt.
    • 53' Stat from Infostrada: "Luis Suarez has now scored or assisted in 25 of Liverpool’s 53 PL goals this season (47%). He has scored 21 goals and provided 4 assists."
    • 52' Here comes the change as Di Santo is replaced by Espinoza and Caldwell comes off for Antolin Alcaraz.
    • 51' Wigan are getting Roger Espinoza ready on the touchline.
    • 50' That really didn't take long for Wigan to fall apart again. Their defence, and Boyce in particular, have had a horror show.
    • 49' GOAL! Wigan 0-4 Liverpool! Boyce is playing on Suarez as he races onto a sliding pass from Johnson and the striker bears down on goal before placing the ball through the legs of Al-Habsi with a lovely finish off the outside of his boot.
    • 47' Stat from Infostrada: "Wigan have never come back to draw or win from a losing 3-goal margin in the PL."
    • 46' KICK OFF!
    • - How many can Liverpool get today? Let me know on Twitter! Follow Tom Adams (@tomEurosport) on Twitter
    • 45+2' HALF TIME. Beausejour takes the free-kick but Reina tips it over the bar and that's half-time. Liverpool in firm control.
    • 45+1' Lucas is now shown a yellow card for a foul on Maloney some 20 yards out. A free-kick in a good position...
    • 45' We will have two added minutes.
    • 44' Allen into the book for Liverpool.
    • 42' Coutinho, Suarez and Allen all get foot on ball as Liverpool try to prise open a welcoming Wigan defence again, but this time the hosts stand firm.
    • 40' Stat from Infostrada: "Three of Suarez’s last four goals in all comps have been from free-kicks. He scored twice from free-kicks against Zenit St Petersburg in the Europa League on February 21."
    • 39' Gerrard chips a ball in for Suarez, who has far too much space. The striker lets the ball run across his body and then controls with the knee before firing in a low effort that Al-Habsi saves. Allen can't convert the follow-up.
    • 37' SUPERB SAVE! Beausejour with a dinked cross from the right to find Di Santo and the striker powers in a header that Reina touches over the bar.
    • 36' That's Suarez's 20th Premier League goal of the season and he is the first man to reach that mark.
    • 35' Caldwell goes into the book as Wigan continue to struggle. It's been a brutal first half for them.
    • 34' GOAL! Wigan 0-3 Liverpool! Suarez's free-kick from 25 yards takes a deflection off Shaun Maloney, brushes the fingers of Al-Habsi and goes in off the post.
    • 33' Stat from Opta: "Six of the seven Premier League games between Wigan and Liverpool at the DW Stadium have gone under 2.5 goals."
    • 31' Suarez tries to break free down the right but is caught offside.
    • 30' Reina handles outside the box but only after fumbling under pressure from Di Santo and the striker is penalised for the incident.
    • 29' Beausejour with a corner for Wigan and Gary Caldwell gets a firm head to the ball, only to direct his effort too close to Reina in the Liverpool goal.
    • 28' Boyce delivers a cross from the right and Beausejour heads back across goal for Kone, who sees his volley blocked by Daniel Agger.
    • 27' Suarez tries to wriggle away from two markers in the box but Wigan sweep up and clear through Maynor Figueroa.
    • 25' Coutinho tries to carve out a third assist as he spots a run from Gerrard through the centre of the box and lifts the ball over the defence. However, Al-Habsi gathers the ball.
    • 24' Stat from Infostrada: "Luis Suarez equals Michael Owen's club record of scoring 10 PL away goal for Liverpool in one season. Owen did it in 2002/2003."
    • 23' There were no punches thrown but McArthur shoved Boyce pretty hard. Embarrassing for Wigan either way.
    • 22' Oh dear, it's all gone a bit Dyer-Bowyer. James McArthur and Boyce have to be pulled apart by their team-mates after indulging in a spot of shoving. Emotions running high in the Wigan team.
    • 21' WHAT A SAVE! Liverpool fail to clear from a Jean Beausejour free-kick and Boyce executes an acrobatic volley that forces Reina into a brilliant save with his right arm.
    • 20' Two assists for Coutinho now, who is giving a vivid demonstration of his talent.
    • 19' That's Suarez's 19th goal of the season, putting him level with Robin van Persie. What a season he has had for a team that has struggled to show its best form.
    • 18' GOAL! Wigan 0-2 Liverpool! Lovely, lovely stuff. Suarez with the finish but Coutinho with a second assist. The Brazilian drags the ball back 25 yards from goal and plays a short, sharp pass into Suarez, who takes it into his stride, dummies to send Al-Habsi to ground and then tucks his shot away.
    • 17' A rather nervy moment in the Liverpool defence as Downing swings clumsily at the ball before Jamie Carragher plays a shot and somewhat risky pass to Glen Johnson.
    • 16' Liverpool threaten again as Gerrard feeds Downing on the right wing and the winger sees his attempt blocked.
    • 15' McCarthy tries to chip a pass through for Franco Di Santo in attack but he can't quite get the flight of the ball correct.
    • 13' Allen almost sets Gerrard free in the box but Wigan manage to get the ball clear.
    • 12' It's been a low-key occasion since Downing's early goal though Liverpool are having the better of things, as you might expect.
    • 10' Wigan would have been relieved to see Reading lose against Everton today but QPR's win against Southampton means they are now just four points behind Reading.
    • 9' Suarez produces a sumptuous flick to play in Joe Allen but the midfielder is just caught offside.
    • 8' Wigan had a chance inside the first minute but they were punished almost immediately by some truly horrid defending. How Coutinho got on the end of a long ball from Reina...
    • 6' Coutinho tries to snake away from his marker on the left as he looks to impress again. It doesn't quite come off though.
    • 5' Lucas Leiva chops down Shaun Maloney late to concede a free-kick.
    • 4' Stat from Infostrada: "Steven Gerrard makes his 400th PL start for Liverpool today. Only Paul Scholes (403), Jamie Carragher (475 including today) and Ryan Giggs (512) have more for one club."
    • 3' A very classy contribution from Coutinho, who already looks to be an astute acquisition for Liverpool having joined the club in January.
    • 2' GOAL! Wigan 0-1 Liverpool! Downing puts the visitors in front! Reina pumps the ball long and Coutinho somehow gets on the end of it, jinking away from Boyce and lifting a lovely cross onto the head of Downing, who nods it in.
    • 1' CHANCE FOR WIGAN! Emmerson Boyce whips in a cross from the right which unexpectedly finds Arouna Kone. He appears to be taken a bit by surprise as his instinctive hooked shot is weak and bounces for Pepe Reina.
    • 1' KICK OFF! Liverpool attacking left to right.

    • 17:20 Brendan Rodgers on Roberto Martinez: "He did a terrific job at Swansea for the couple of years he was there, it made my job easier going in. I could then work on other aspects. Every manager who comes in after someone you will always respect what he has done. Certainly with me and Roberto, he did an excellent job there. I was there to move it on and hopefully move the club forward again."
    • 17:15 Stats from Opta: Only Ali Al-Habsi (6) has made more errors leading to goals this season than Jose Reina (4).
    • 17:10 Stats from Opta: Wigan have lost only one of their last six Barclays Premier League games against Liverpool after losing seven of the opening nine against them.
    • 17:05 Wigan, perhaps predictably, are unchanged after beating Reading 3-0 away from home last weekend.
    • 17:00 It's nine days since Liverpool's last game - they had last weekend off. There's only one change from the side that beat Zenit 3-1 in the Europa League, and it's an attacking one. Philippe Coutinho starts ahead of Jordan Henderson.
    • 16:55 Full time across the country in the early kick-offs. The headline news is a Shinji Kagawa hat-trick in Manchester United's 4-0 win against Norwich that has moved them 15 points clear with Manchester City in action on Monday. Premier League scores and scorers
