Arsenal are said to be battling Manchester United over Cody Gakpo. The Gunners are also in talks with AC Milan over a deal for Sandro Tonali, while rivalling Liverpool for Villarrealâs teenage winger Yeremy Pino and still chasing Youri Tielemans.
West Ham will play Viborg FF for a place in the Europa Conference League group stages. A 2-1 win on the Faroe Islands for the Danish side on Tuesday night sealed a 5-1 aggregate victory to book a date with the Hammers. The first leg of the play-off tie will take place on Thursday August 18, with West Ham having home advantage, before the return fixture a week later on August 25.
The club have not won the Premier League since the Scot retired in 2013.
