CRY
90+6'
That's full time. Arsenal rescue their title challenge with Ramsey's goal.
90+5'
Szczesny flaps at a corner under the bar and is awarded a free kick. Seconds left of the match.
90+2'
There will be five minutes of added time.
90+1'

GOAL! Arsenal 2-1 Palace. Ramsey scores. Koscielny heads the ball into the match, Giroud keeps it alive with a header of his own and it falls to Ramsey who turns it past Speroni.

O'Keefe comes on for Bolasie.

Red card! Puncheon is sent off for a second yellow card. It's a late lunge at Monreal, and a deserved booking.

Just a couple of minutes left in Arsenal's title challenge?
87'
Monreal covers well to chase a long ball, and Arsenal build from the 'keeper again.
Crystal Palace Substitution
84'

Giroud turns a ball across goal that nobody gets too. Gayle replaces Campbell.
83'
Arsenal have all of the ball. All of the ball. All of the ball. 1-1.

I’ve been covering Arsenal here since 2007 (minus a brief sojourn in the NE) and I think about 85% of their games have been like this.

81'
Cazorla sends a loose pass right. This has been mesmerically Arsenal from Arsenal today.
78'
Sanchez sends in a cross from the left of the box and it's miles over.
77'

Kelly is booked for a sliding challenge on Sanchez, which got the ball but was also a dangerous lunge.

Bolasie charges down a loose ball in the box after a run forward, but it's out for a goal kick. Delaney is on for Dann.

ALEXIS PAL, YOU GOT YOUSE NEPHEWS SHORTS ON OR SUMMIT?

74'
Dann is walking off ridiculously slowly in order to waste time. He should be booked.
73'
Giroud pathetically hurls himself to the ground in a vain attemt to win a penalty when he challenges for a cross. Dann is now down 'injured'.
71'
Ramsey curls a slow shot towards goal, which is easily stopped.
70'
Cazorla's pass in the box is cut out at the near post. Cazorla takes a corner, which is cleared at the near post. All this preparation and time, and Arsenal and Manchester United have started the season well under par.
Arsenal Substitution
69'

Alexis plays some good one-touch passing through the centre of the pitch and sends a low, scuffed shot towards goal. Oxlade-Chamberlain is on for Wilshere. Oxlade-Chamberlain is a cleverer, faster and more technically able player by absolutely miles.

Chamakh is booked for a proper barge into Wilshere in midifeld. That had been coming.

67: #CPFC still looking very organised here. Will Arsenal wear them down? 1-1 at the Emirates

67'
Wilshere dinks a ball over the top that Speroni claims. It's just like watching Wilshere play for England.
66'
Sanchez trips Chamakh, again in defence and working hard. He's been excellent in this match.
65'
Dann comes across to cut the ball out and concede a corner.
63'
Calls for a penalty as Chamakh arms the ball away, but it was so close to his chest that it was a tough call.
Arsenal Substitution
62'

Sanogo is replaced by Giroud. That is a mistake in my humble opinion imho imo.
61'
Exciting times.

.@_OlivierGiroud_ is about to come on. Will Wenger go 4-4-2 or take off @Yayasanogoal22? (60) 1-1 #AFCvCPFC

Cazorla is now booked for a slide tackle to stop a Palace break.
59'
Sanchez takes, but it cleared at the near post by Chamakh and he starts a Palace break that quickly falls apart.

Not sure I can adjust to Palace being a decent team.

58'
Cazorla has a free kick to the left of the box, and it's headed behind for a corner on the right by Kelly.
57'
Chamakh holds the ball up briliantly, lays the ball off inside to Puncheon, but he curls a slow shot straight at Speroni.
56'
Palace do not give one solitary, er, fig about attractive football, and it's serving them well.
55'
Arsenal are starting to get frustrated. At what point do they start admitting they hate themselves?
53'

Gibbs replaced by Monreal.
Arsenal Substitution
52'
Arsenal still with the ball. Giroud is warming up on the sidelines.
50'
Funnily, the move breaks down after Cazorla dithers again.
49'
Bolasie tries a few tricks but Sanchez is equal to the challenge until he finally concedes a free kick. It's quickly back to Bolasie, who beats Debuchy, but Arsenal clear the cross and attempt a break forward.
48'

Another Palace corner, but Arsenal break forward. Play is spread to Cazolra, who dithers and is tackled. Puncheon is booked for a late tackle in that Arsenal break forward.
47'
Arsenal, as you would expect, continue to dominate possession.
46'
The match is underway for the second half. I spent my match break typing. What about you? Let me know at @lxndrnthrtn. The less truthful the better.

Half time action.

Ramsey's cross is headed away, and that's half time. See you in 15 minutes.
Arsenal Goal

GOAL! Arsenal 1-1 Crystal Palace. Koscielny scores. Kelly comes out to defend but gives away a foul. Sanchez curls in a cross towards the penalty spot, and Koscielny nods the ball into the net, totally unmarked.
44'
The first booking of the season, Calum Chambers. Not for mispelling his first name but for dragging Campbell to the floor.

It's alright lads, Arsenal lost the first game embarrassingly last season and we were still in the title race for some 27 or more so games

43'
Less tiki taka, more tippy tappy.
42'
The Cazorla cross is spectacularly Arsenal, and thus no goal is scored.
41'
Arsenal win a free kick on the right wing, Cazorla will take after the ref sprays vanishing spray in his eye.
40'
Gibbs blocks off a Palace attack, but the move breaks down.
39'
Arsenal should probably consider putting Giroud on the pitch. Not necessarily instead of Sanogo, but alongside him.

Now @AaronRamsey has a go from outside the area, but that hits a defender and rolls harmlessly to Speroni (39) 0-1 #AFCvCPFC

37'
Cazorla skittles right, back into the centre and then has a low shot deflected a couple of yards wide of goal. He'll take the corner.
Crystal Palace Goal

Header - Bottom Left

34'
Ramsey is down clutching his head, but seems OK to continue now.
33'

GOAL! Arsenal 0-1 Crystal Palace. Hangeland scores. A corner is curled to the near post, flicked in off the top his head, into the far corner.
32'
Crystal Palace back to 25% possession. The fightback begins.

.@Alexis_Sanchez tries one trick too many and gets dispossessed. He's not been able to get into central positions yet (31) 0-0 #AFCvCPFC

31'
Chamakh gets a late kick from Sanchez on the left wing and Speroni clumps the ball forward.
30'
Nothing from the corner.
29'
Wilshere sends in a low shot from 25 yards which bobbles in front of Speroni, who pushes away behind for a corner on the left.
28'
Debuchy stries down the right wing, and sends the ball into the edge of the box. Predictably, it comes to nothing. This is very, very Arsenal.
27'
Arsenal are finding it hard to break down this side. Sanogo gets to the edge of the box and drags his shot miles wide.

.@Arsenal really having to battle here against a well-drilled Palace side. Patience required (25) 0-0 #AFCvCPFC

26'
A great tactical point made about Chamakh below.

Only a man of true character would persist with Chamahk's hairstyle so defiantly. Probably football's most courageous player.

23'
Ward gets a free kick with a late tackle from Sanchez, who had just overrun the ball.
20'
Wenger out!
19'
Ledley wins the ball in midfield and Palace keep the ball between defenders.
18'
Arsenal have the ball in defence, but Palace have already dropped deep.
17'
Kelly sticks his boot through the ball to clear up to the midfield. and Palace win a corner on the right.
16'
Sanchez curls a shot miles wide.
15'
Gibbs wins a corner on the left just inside the box. Cazorla whips a cross in, and Sanogo tries to flick the ball towards goal but it's underhit.
14'
Sanogo hasn't done too badly so far. It would be enjoyable for Wenger and Sanogo particularly if this is a rare recent success of the manager spotting young, cheap talent.
12'
Arteta clips Campbell with a lazy challenge, giving Palace a few minutes to rest and keep the ball.
11'
Sanchez cleverly backheels the ball to Debuchy in space on the right, but Palace clear the cross. The goal looks increasingly likely, but this is Arsenal we're talking about.
10'
Arsenal have had 80% of the ball so far. Dunno what that means, if I'm honest.
9'
Chamakh blasts through Cazorla, I think, in the centre. Do Arsenal like it up em? We will find out tonight, Ramsey has a shot from distance blocked.
8'
Ramsey appeals for a penalty after he is slightly checked by Dann and proceeds to sit on the floor. A grown up would have been able to remain standing there.
7'
Arsenal are dominating the possession, as you might expect. It's a ridiculous couple of days the Palace side have had to endure.

5: It's the #cpfc fans making all the noise away to our right at the moment. Tremendous support as ever from the red and blue army!

6'
Have to say that after Alexis Sanchez has not scored yet, he has to be genuinely the worst signing of the summer.
4'
Sanchez is crowded out by three players in midfield and Hangeland is penalised for a foul.
2'
Sanchez backheels for Debuchy to run onto towards the byline, but he's unable to find anyone with a cross.
1'
Chamakh fouls Wilshere in midfield after 22 seconds.

Following Manchester United's shock 2-1 defeat to Swansea earlier today, and with the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City all playing later this weekend, Arsenal have the chance to go top with a win here.

What hashtag is everyone using for this? Presumably #MillenTime
17:00
How do you think this fixture will play out? Will it be a routine victory for Arsenal, who come into the match high on confidence following the Community Shield victory over Manchester City, or can Palace spring a shock and get a win at the Emirates? Let us know in the comments section below.
16:55
In terms of preparation, however, things couldn't have gone much worse for Palace, who are without a full-time boss following the departure of Pulis. Caretaker manager Millen doesn't think the players will be affected, though: "Confidence-wise it shouldn’t affect us at all. We’re organised, the structure is good, we know what we’re going to do. And the players, they trained OK. We know from last year, we have to be at our best [against Arsenal today]."
16:50
The Arsenal boss has been pretty vocal of late, suggesting that the season has started a week too early for the north London club. He said: "We are a bit short in our preparation because we had 11 players at the World Cup. If you want to give some holiday to the players your preparation becomes very short. I think we could have done with one week later for all the competitions.”
16:45
Wenger has also handed competitive debuts to Mathieu Debuchy, Calum Chambers and Alexis Sanchez, but the Gunners boss is still without Per Mertesacker, Lukas Podolski and Mesut Ozil - who have been given a lengthier break following the German trio's World Cup exploits.
16:40
So, Arsene Wenger names an unchanged side from the one that secured the Community Shield last weekend. Palace caretaker manager Keith Millen has opted for an attacking line-up, but the Eagles, who had to deal with the sudden departure of Tony Pulis just days before the start of the Premier League season, will surely have their work cut out today.
16:35
