It's all over at White Hart Lane and Spurs have won it 3-0. They secure a spot in the Europa League and it's a fine way to (probably) say goodbye for Tim Sherwood. For Villa, it's a sorry end to a sorry season. Thanks for joining, see you next season.
2 minutes of added time to be played.
Spurs attack but instead of shooting or passing Eriksen checks back and passes backwards.
We're drifting uneventfully towards full time.
Tottenham Hotspur Substitution
Aston Villa Substitution
Much hilarity as the electronic board malfunctions and the fourth official has to resort to plastic boards. It's so not Premier League, so unseemly.
A change for both sides. For Spurs, Alex Pritchard replaces Gylfi Sigurdsson. For Villa, Bacuna makes way for Callum Robinson.
Delph gets a yard on Chiriches and shoots from range. It's a decent effort but a comfortable save in the end for Lloris.
Villa fans are shouting 'Ole!' with each pass. They've gone way up in my estimation.
Adebayor is caught offside for the 589th time today.
El Ahmadi lumps a ball forward but Lloris is quickly to clean up.
Tottenham Hotspur Substitution
Sub Bentaleb shoots from range and it's truly horrible, dribbling towards the corner flag.
Delph shows some industry in the middle of the park. He's one of the few Villa players that have looked interested today.
Another change for Spurs. Goalscorer Paulinho is replaced by Nabil Bentaleb.
Lloris beats Agbonlahor to a low ball across the six yard box.
Villa aren't showing too much ambition either. They enjoy some possession in the Spurs half but are still yet to register a shot on target.
Spurs have understandably taken their foot off the gas.
Kane was judged to be the offender there and Guzan manages to fight on and take the free kick.
Guzan is back on his feet and walking gingerly.
Guzan looks in a bad way. He's on his back, breathing heavily and wincing. It was an honest challenge - Kane was 'entitled' to go for it, as they say.
A heavy clash leaves Guzan and Kane both reeling on the ground. The two collide on the edge of the box with Guzan rushing out.
Bacuna nips in to win the ball and does well to retain possession.
There's been bad blood recently between Sandro and Tim Sherwood and the two shake hands on the touchline. Sherwood offers a friendly but possibly overly-physical pat on the head. Read into it what you will.
Tottenham Hotspur Substitution
Change for Spurs with Sandro making way for Milos Veljkovic.
It's party time in the Villa end, where they're sarcastically celebrating any action in the final third. Fancy dress for some, too - I guess they have to make their own entertainment.
Free kick for Villa but Westwood's ball is too deep for Ron Vlaar.
Villa counter after Rose gifts the ball to Lowton.
Danger for Villa as Sandro floats the ball towards the back post and Kane's cross is cleared.
Chance for Villa and it's their best moment of this game so far. Agbonlahor knocks it down for Delph, who takes a lovely touch before blasting just wide.
Chiriches is lucky to escape without a booking for a lunge after a touch so heavy it would have incurred additional baggage costs on EasyJet.
Delph does well to get wide and put a teasing ball in. Lloris deals with the danger.
Don't want to deter anyone, but this game is in grave danger of fizzling out.
Westwood presses Spurs high up the pitch. It's a good effort, until he shoves his arms into the back of Dawson.
Paul Lambert has taken off one of his strikers, then. Is this second half just an exercise in containment?
Villa have made a change at half time, with Karim El Ahmadi replacing Jordan Bowery.
We're back underway at White Hart Lane
Aston Villa Substitution
That's half time. Spurs have pretty much wrapped up Europa League qualification in that first period, going in with a 3-0 lead. See you in 15 for the 2nd half.
Villa praying that half time can be full time.
Westwood bombs forward and tries from range but slices his effort wide.
Michael Dawson nearly weighs in with a goal! His header is tipped round the post by Guzan.
Adebayor finds himself in the box but the flag is up.
A mix-up between Guzan and Ryan Bertrand gives Spurs a corner.
Adebayor hadn't scored since the 7th April (that's 370 minutes of football).
A whirlwind few minutes and Spurs are heading for Europe! The Europa League, that is.
Adebayor places the penalty straight down the middle! Spurs are out of sight, surely.
Tottenham Hotspur Penalty

Top Left

Penalty to Spurs! An Agbonlahor handball is deemed more than accidental
Spurs go close again! Kane is through but Fabian Delph comes in with a wonderful last ditch challenge.
Tottenham Hotspur Goal

Top Left

Spurs double their lead and it's an own goal from Nathan Baker! Danny Rose fizzes a cross in from the left on the half volley and Baker can do nothing but divert it into his own net with his head.
Vlad Chiriches gets involved with a piece of assured defending before playing out from the back.
Naughton swings a dangerous cross in but it's hoofed away by Bacuna. 'Ave it!
A brief lull as Westwood picks up a knock but decides against going off for treatment.
Eriksen is a class act, isn't he? One of Spurs' only decent acquisitions of late.
Chrisitan Eriksen puts a quality ball into the box, which Paulinho cannot quite get on the end of.
Spurs go close again. Harry Kane pulls wide and puts a teasing cross into the six yard box, which is somehow diverted over for a corner.
Villa work it wide to Bacuna, whose shot is blocked by Danny Rose.
Villa are growing in confidence here. Westwood is starting to pull some strings in central midfield.
Spurs' goal was their first inside the first 15 minutes of a Premier League match this season. How's that for a stat?
Paulinho breaks and tries to release Kane but can't slip it through
Weimann flicks the corner on and Naughton does well to hook the ball away and avert the danger.
Naughton heads over rather needlessly to concede a corner.
Villa are just starting to get a grip in the middle of the park
Spurs are doing all the pressing here
Well this game has sprung into life...
Paulinho could have two! He's just scored one and comes close to doubling Spurs' lead but his angled shot is well goes just wide.
Tottenham Hotspur Goal

Bottom Center

Spurs take the lead! They work the ball on the edge of the box and Paulinho bursts into the area. His first shot is blocked by Guzan but he mops up the rebound, stroking the ball into the empty net.
Villa fans partially redeem themselves in my eyes with a chorus of 'Is this a library?'
Another chance for Harry Kane! Again it's Adebayor who provides the cross - this time it's a low one and Kane's close-range shot is somethered by Friedel.
Kane nutmegs Leandro Bacuna, shouts "megs!" (hopefully), then gets bundled to the floor. Free kick Spurs.
Villa launch into a rendition of the excruciatingly dull chant in which they shout Villa, Villa, Villa (up the octave) followed by Villa, Villa, Villa (down the octave).
As I say that Spurs begin to turn the screw. Adebayor chips a cross in but Kane's header is weak and straight into the arms of Guzan.
It's not pretty so far. Not sure either side has kept the ball for longer than 15 seconds
Gabriel Agbonlahor makes a good run. Paul Lambert will be happy to have him back in the team.
Early danger as Harry Kane slips in Emmanuel Adebayor but Brad Guzan is alive to the danger.
We're off! Spurs in white, Villa in claret and blue
The teams are out and we're almost ready. How do you see this one going? Let me know you're predictions via Twitter @paddyfletch. I'm going with 2-0 Spurs and a goal in each half.
This could be the final game of Tim Sherwood's unhappy reign. He says he's felt like a supply teacher and is unlikely to be back next term. He's often said there's no bigger Spurs fan than himself so can he bequeath them Europa League qualification?
Villa could finish as high as 12th or as low as 17th, but will be keen to get this disappointing season over with. It hasn't been fun, it hasn't been pretty, and there may well be speculation over manager Paul Lambert's position once it's all over.
So, it's the final day of the season and if you thought there wasn't anything to play for away from the Etihad and Anfield, then you're sorely mistaken. Two words: Europa League. Spurs can clinch a place in next season's competition with a point here. Don't laugh, it DOES matter.
Villa have injury issues of their own, with Christian Benteke, Charles N'Zogbia and Mark Albrighton among their absentees. There is encouragement, though, in the form of Gabriel Agbonlahor, who returns to lead the line. Leandro Bacuna comes in for Ciaran Clark and there is another start for young Jordan Bowery.
Spurs are forced into a couple of changes to the team that lost to West Ham last time out. Vlad Chiriches comes in at centre back for the suspended Younes Kaboul, while Aaron Lennon's absence means Sandro comes into the midfield. Yes, a rare appearance for Sandro under Tim Sherwood.
