    • FC Barcelona
    • 90+3' So Barcelona wrap up the points and they have survived that early second half comeback attempt from Mallorca. Job done by Vilanova's men and their excellent start to the season continues.
    • 90' Alves fires a low cross through the Mallorca defence from the right and if Messi or Alexis had shown any more interest they could have been in there.
    • 89' Barcelona elect to keep possession from the corner, playing the ball around and letting Mallorca do the work.
    • 88' Messi has a hat trick chance after good work from Alexis, but the shot is saved by Aouate.
    • 87' Martin Montoya is sent on by Vilanova to replace Jordi Alba who has had a quiet night.
    • 86' Goal scorer Pereira has just completely taken Fabregas out, off the ball, but the referee sees nothing. Fabregas is furious.
    • 85' Fernandez gets involved by taking a corner but his cross is weak, failing to beat the first man.
    • 84' Mascherano departs and Marc Bartra comes on for Barça.
    • 83' Fernandez nearly gets right through on goal with his first contribution, only for the excellent Pique to whip the ball away from him.
    • 82' Ximo goes off and youngster Marc Fernandez comes on for the hosts.
    • 81' A bad touch from Messi, for once, sees a good passing sequence from Barcelona come to an end and Mallorca have a chance to breathe for a moment.
    • 80' Mallorca are preparing to make a third substitution but that fourth goal has really knocked them sideways.
    • 79' It is a shame the stadium is almost half empty tonight, with so many great players on show.
    • 78' Messi shows some great skill in midfield and breaks forward to supply Alexis who misreads his pass.
    • 77' Understandably Vilanova's counterpart Caparros is more animated and is trying to motivate his players, but the sense is that this one has slipped from their grasp after a good attempt at a fightback.
    • 76' The pace of the game has slowed right down now. Boss Vilanova looks relaxed on the Barcelona bench.
    • 75' Mallorca substitute Fontas is in fact on loan from Barcelona. Can he upset his main club with a goal here?
    • 73' The frustrated Marti sees his night come to an eraly end as he is replaced by Andreu Fontas.
    • 72' Marti was claiming Alexis was offside in the build up to that Messi goal but there was nothing wrong with the move, all clearly onside.
    • 71' That is Messi's 20th goal already this season and his 76th in 2012. He now has Gerd Muller's calendar year world record of 85 goals for club and country in 1972 in his sights.
    • 70' GOAL!!! Yes Messi can break Pele's record and he just has done. It's 4-2 to Barcelona as the Argentine genius reacts to Alexis' chest down and hammers the ball into the net.
    • 68' Alves supplies Fabregas with a curled right foot cross into the box, the ball running out for a goal kick as the former Arsenal player swings at and misses that pass.
    • 67' Villa is off and does not look happy to have been replaced. Alexis Sanchez has come on in his place.
    • 66' That first half goal for Messi saw him equal Pele's record of 75 goals in a calendar year, which the magical Brazilian set back in 1959. Can Messi break the record and seal the points for Barcelona in the final 25 minutes?
    • 65' Ximo then tries to get forward for Mallorca, the local youth team product raiding up the right wing. His cross goes out for a goal kick though.
    • 63' At the other end Tello is also finding space on the Barcelona left, almost opening up the defence before Ximo robs him.
    • 62' Pereira is getting loads of space down the left for the home side, again crossing well to supply the forwards, but Barcelona clear via Pique. Alves needs to do some defending here.
    • 61' The players are having a battle in midfield but Xavi has overstepped the mark and Mallorca have a free kick as the Spain international goes in studs up on Alfaro.
    • 60' Barcelona can't believe this and the momentum is most certainly with the home side as they look for an equaliser.
    • 58' GOAL!!! Mallorca are right back in this as Víctor Casadesús makes no mistake from the penalty spot. Game on.
    • 57' Booking for deliberate handball for Busquets and it's a penalty for Mallorca!
    • 56' A good chance for Messi but he wastes the free kick as it goes over.
    • 55' The French midfielder deserved that goal as he read Victor's pass into the box and finished well.
    • 54' GOAL!!! Pereira has been Mallorca's best player so far and he strikes back with an excellently taken half volley to make it 3-1.
    • 53' Pereira's corner is cleared and Messi almost gets in at the other end, but the Mallorca defence are alert enought to prevent a fourth.
    • 52' An excellent run down the left sees Pereira feed Victor in the box for the hosts, with Fabregas getting a vital touch to prevent a goal.
    • 51' Mallorca's last home win over Barcelona was a 2-1 victory in May 2009 and they are unlikely to repeat that success tonight.
    • 50' Barcelona's bench looks terrifying - Iniesta, Song, Alexis and Pedro are relaxing and watching the action. What a squad this is.
    • 49' Almost an instant opportunity for Alfaro to make an impact but his volley goes wide and he is in fact judged to be offside.
    • 48' Barcelona mount a good early second half attack with a great long pass from Fabregas reaching Tello who supplies Messi. Eventually the moves breaks down and Mallorca escape further punishment for now.
    • 47' Hemed has been replaced by Alejandro Alfaro for Mallorca.
    • 46' We're back underway and Barcelona remain unchanged as they go in search of more goals.
    • 45+1' An excellent first half from the league leaders. Expect more goals in the second half as Barcelona are toying with an under strength Mallorca side.
    • 45' GOAL!!! In an instant Tello makes it 3-0 with his third goal of the season, cutting in from the left and bending a great right foot shot into the Mallorca net from outside the box. Class.
    • 44' GOAL!!! Messi gets what will probably be his most fortunate goal of the season, his low shot from outside the box taking a slight deflection and going right through Aouate.
    • 42' Xavi gives the ball away as Barcelona mount an attack, then a sloppy back pass from Pedro Geromel forces his goalkeeper to pump it clear as Messi lurks.
    • 41' Now Alves is rolling around on the floor trying to get the referee to book an opponent but there was no foul there.
    • 40' Hemed appeared to catch Mascherano on the right ankle there, but the Argentine is now ok.
    • 39' Javier Mascherano requires treatment on his right heel after an aerial challenge sees him land awkwardly.
    • 37' Barcelona survive unscathed, Pereira takes the corner and it is headed over by Ximo. Goal kick for the visitors.
    • 36' NSue wins a corner for Mallorca on the right.
    • 34' Busquets tries to con the referee with a typical tumble to the ground but the official is having none of it.
    • 33' Tello supplies Villa with an open goal chance but the Spanish striker fires wide from just yards out. What a miss!
    • 32' This is a good response by Barcelona after the Celtic defeat. The Catalans look their usual confident selves here and Mallorca are struggling to get a foot in.
    • 31' After nine wins and a draw so far this term, Barça have achieved their best ever start to a top-flight league campaign. They look to be on target to extend that good run tonight.
    • 30' A vital tackle from Pereira just as Villa looks to get in and make it 2-0.
    • 29' That is Xavi's third league goal of the season and it was a superbly placed free kick, giving Mallorca goalkeeper Aouate no chance.
    • 28' GOAL!!! It was Xavi who took the free kick and it was brilliantly placed into the top left hand corner with his right foot. Great goal.
    • 27' A yellow card for Marti for shirt pulling on Fabregas just outside the box. Free kick to be taken by Messi or Xavi.
    • 26' All Barcelona at the moment, before Messi makes a little winding run and then gives the ball away cheaply.
    • 25' A throw in for Barcelona in an advanced position on the right and Mallorca are pinned right back, as Cesc Fabregas starts to come into the game.
    • 24' Tello and Ximo are having a good battle and the right full back does a good job of tracking and dispossessing his opponent.
    • 23' Straight up the other end and Messi almost gets Tello in, but the young forward is offside.
    • 22' Pereira takes a free kick which Pique clears, then the ball is fired back into the Barcelona box and Valdes makes a brilliant left handed save from a Jose Luis Marti header. Top goalkeeping.
    • 20' Pereira gets through on the left and is in clear space, but he panics and loops a weak cross into Valdes' arms when he should have taken a shot.
    • 19' No real clear cut chances so far, but David Villa is lurking with intent, if his teammates can start to find him on one of his angled runs.
    • 18' Mallorca have lost five of their last six league meetings with Barcelona.
    • 17' Great play by Ximo on the right, the defender getting forward and crossing well for Tomer Hemed who puts it over Victor Valdes' bar.
    • 16' This may be Pique's first start since September but he already looks his usual elegant self, gracefully strolling around at centre half. No real work for him to do yet.
    • 15' Messi almost plays Alves in on the right but the pass is well read by Michael Pereira who intercepts for Mallorca.
    • 14' Messi wins a corner as Ximo Navarro chases him down and concedes the corner kick rather than take any risk. Barcelona opt not to cross it and Mallorca quickly clear their lines.
    • 13' Barcelona have won all five of their away games in La Liga this season.
    • 12' Just as Mallorca mount their first attack Barcelona counter with youngster Cristian Tello who chases a long ball forward and just misses out.
    • 11' Mallorca have barely managed to get out of their own half so far. This could be a long night for the home side...
    • 10' Alves gets forward again, this time stinging goalkeeper Aouate's palms with a driven shot which rebounds away from the area.
    • 9' Dani Alves gets forward on the right but his cross into a crowded box is well over hit. Mallorca clear the danger.
    • 8' Mallorca are on a five-match losing run in La Liga. That is their worst sequence of defeats since 1991-92, when they lost seven in a row.
    • 7' Dudu Aouate keeps Barcelona out with a good save from a free kick taken by Xavi.
    • 6' Real Madrid, who by the way play later this evening away at Levante, have already won 5-0 at Mallorca this season. Can Barcelona match that result?
    • 5' Mallorca are pinned back in their own half, with Barcelona already dominating possession.
    • 4' Gerard Pique is making his first start for Barcelona since September after recovering from his ankle injury to appear in the last 20 minutes of the defeat at Celtic.
    • 3' Jose Luis Marti puts in a late challenge on Sergio Busquets who milks it, rolling around on the turf in midfield.
    • 2' João Victor stays down for a while after a heavy challenge but Barcelona don't kick the ball out and the Mallorca man is soon back on his feet.
    • 1' We are underway in Mallorca, the home team in red and Barcelona in their bright yellow and orange change kit.
    • 16.45 Tito Vilanova (Barcelona manager): "They won’t make it easy for us to build moves. They’ll probably look to put the ball over the top of the defence because they’ve got pace upfront. The other day we had 97% of the possession in the second half. We had the possession and a lot of chances. We always want to have possession, to try and attack and score. That’s the way we play. Barça is admired for the way we play, something that can’t be said by many teams."
    • 16.40 Joaquin Caparros (Mallorca manager): "We need to play the perfect game, both defensively and offensively, and that is always a big task. A good performance will not be enough, it has to be perfect. Barça will not be thinking about previous results, their performance will not depend on the last game. Of course we have players injured but I will not blame bad luck. Mallorca are a unit and there are other talented players that can take the place of the ones that are currently injured."
    • 16.35 Barcelona travel to the Balearic Islands aiming to recover from their surprise midweek Champions League defeat to Celtic. In theory Barcelona boss Tito Vilanova could not have picked better opponents for his team to face after a rare loss, given that Mallorca have lost their last five La Liga matches.
    • 16.30 Mallorca are on a losing streak in the league and will be restricted for this visit of league leaders Barcelona by a growing injury list which includes former Barça man Giovani Dos Santos. The Mexican sustained a thigh injury in his team’s latest defeat, the 1-0 loss to Deportivo La Coruna, last time out. Nunes, Antonio Lopez, Joao Victor are all out with knee injuries and Javi Marquez has an ankle problem. Right-back Ximo Navarro returns from his knee injury.
