    • 90+3' The full-time whistle goes at Wembley, and England have beaten San Marino 5-0 with braces from Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain added a fifth! It's a routine victory for Roy Hodgson's side, who do the job in this Group H clash. Next up will be a much sterner test in Poland in midweek. Thanks for your company! Group H standings
    • 90+2' Carroll attempts a volley from the back post as the ball breaks loose, but it's a tame shot and Simoncini can collect.
    • 90+1' Hart gets a touch to a huge roar from the crowd as Brolli attempts a long-range effort which brings a smile to the face of the England goalkeeper.
    • 90' There will be three added minutes at the end of this second half, as Walker attempts an audacious cross with his back to the penalty area, but to no avail.
    • 89' Cleverley tries his luck from the edge of the penalty area, but he does not manage to test Simoncini as Brolli gets a touch on it.
    • 88' Danny Welbeck gets the official man-of-the-match, and the announcement is met with a big ovation from the Wembley crowd.
    • 87' The home fans remain in good voice as England move forward with Oxlade-Chamberlain, before Walker loses out to Cibelli.
    • 86' Shelvey forces his way forward once more, but he is eventually crowded out and Brolli lumps the ball upfield.
    • 85' Palazzi seems to be really struggling with cramp, but he cannot be replaced with San Marino having made all three of their changes.
    • 84' England continue to stroke the ball around in their half, and it's suddenly quite subdued as both sides ease off.
    • 83' Lennon continues to cause havoc down the right, and he beats his man before floating over a cross which is just too deep for Welbeck.
    • 82' Vitailoi comes off as San Marino's second most-capped player Bacciocchi is introduced.
    • 81' Baines does brilliantly to get to the byline and keep the ball in play, and he has worked tirelessly all evening.
    • 80' Shelvey produces a powerful run before driving a low shot on target, but Simoncini gathers it fairly comfortably.
    • 79' It was the lone frontman, Rinaldi, who departed for Selva. England attack once more through Baines down the left, who is having a terrific match.
    • 78' Andy Selva comes on, and he's San Marino's all-time leading goalscorer!
    • 77' GOAL! Oxlade-Chamberlain adds a fifth for England as he produces a precise right-footed finish to pick out the top corner, and it's an excellent shot from the Arsenal winger as he gets on the scoresheet after fine work from Cleverley and Baines once more.
    • 76' England keep the ball in the San Marino half, and the scoreline is suddenly much more pleasing for the hosts.
    • 75' Coppini is replaced by Buscarini as the visitors make their first change.
    • 74' Joe Hart is now the England captain, and this could be the start of a number of changes.
    • 73' Andy Carroll comes on for Rooney, who makes way with the midweek clash with Poland no doubt in mind.
    • 72' GOAL! Cleverley gets to the byline down the right and cuts the ball back for Welbeck, who adds his second of the night with a simple close-range finish! Again, England score two goals in a matter of minutes after a drought.
    • 71' Can England score multiple goals in a burst, just like they did in the first half? The home fans are desperate for more.
    • 70' GOAL! Rooney adds a second with a crisp finish from the edge of the box, and he picks out the far corner of the net with a powerful strike to leave Simoncini with no chance at all. Rooney is now England's fifth highest goalscorer!
    • 69' England build patiently once more from halfway, and it's very slow going. San Marino have still yet to concede in this second half.
    • 68' It's a first senior cap for Shelvey, and he gets his first touch as he looks to slip in Rooney with a through ball - it doesn't quite come off.
    • 67' Rinaldi charges down the left with an enterprising run, but Cahill eventually gets back to clear.
    • 66' Carrick makes way as Roy Hodgson makes his first change of the evening, and it's Jonjo Shelvey who comes on.
    • 65' San Marino have an attack! Gasperoni races clear with Jagielka alongside him, and he drives his shot wide of Hart's near post - even the home fans give it a huge ovation!
    • 64' STAT: San Marino last tasted victory in an international match on April 27 2004 when they beat Liechtenstein 1-0 in a friendly. It remains their only win.
    • 63' Lennon looks to latch on to a long ball from Walker, but he cannot quite collect the ball in his stride.
    • 62' Baines takes a free-kick from 25 yards out, and it flashes just over the crossbar with Simoncini not getting across to it - a fine effort, but agonisingly off target.
    • 61' England continue to keep the ball in the San Marino half, but there is a distinct lack of cutting edge in the final third in this second half, and Roy Hodgson looks very frustrated.
    • 60' Davide Simoncini blocks an effort from Rooney on the edge of the box, and England continue their search for a third goal.
    • 59' Baines whips over a very fine corner from the right, but Cahill is adjudged to have fouled Brolli in the box and San Marino have a reprieve.
    • 58' The ball drops to Cleverley inside the penalty area as the visitors fail to clear, but he can only scuff a tame effort into the ground. There are sighs from the crowd.
    • 57' Oxlade-Chamberlain has a shot deflected wide from the edge of the box, and credit to San Marino for forcing England to take speculative efforts.
    • 56' Lennon ghosts in at the back post to meet a deep cross from Baines, but he lacks conviction and ends up chesting it to Simoncini.
    • 55' Carrick puts a ball in for Rooney who tries to knock it into Cleverley's path but can't quite find his target. It's increasingly frustrating for England.
    • 54' This is a greatly improved passage of play from the visitors, who are looking to move upfield with firm challenges from deep. England look very flat.
    • 53' Cahill gets into the San Marino box, only to lose his footing and composure as he goes down. England are yet to make an impression in this second half.
    • 52' Carrick forces his way through after a slick interchange with Welbeck, but his shot lacks power as Simoncini is able to make a decent save to his right!
    • 51' Hart gets a rare touch at the back as he passes to Jagielka, and this is far too patient from England for the crowd's liking.
    • 50' STAT: San Marino have scored just once in their last 14 World Cup qualifying matches.
    • 49' England have a rare period of possession in their own half as San Marino press fractionally higher up the field, and it's a slow start to the second half.
    • 48' Walker storms down the right and looks to cut the ball back for someone in the box, but he is crowded out and the move breaks down.
    • 47' No changes have been made by either manager at the break, and Baines is again marauding down the left and overlapping to get to the byline, almost at will.
    • 46' The second half is under way, and England kick off looking to hit their stride a little quicker than they managed to in the first half. /// @CharlieAshton reckons it will end up 4-0, Sammy Taylor is going for 8-0 and Gabs T is going for 11-0.
    • - Right then, how many more will England score in the second half? What will the final scoreline be in this match, and is any individual going to net four? Get in touch on Twitter
    • 45+3' The half-time whistle goes at Wembley, and England have two goals on the board, courtesy of Rooney - from the penalty spot - and Welbeck, with an exquisite backheel. The crowd will expect many more in the second half, but England are pleased with their work as they leave the field for the break.
    • 45+2' Cleverley attempts to lift a deep ball to the back post, but Brolli manages to clear and to punt the ball back upfield.
    • 45+1' Welbeck and Rooney are both very close to stealing in from close range as Baines delivers another brilliant cross, but Vitaioli manages to sweep up at the back.
    • 45' Rooney skips inside once more and flashes a shot wide of the near post with Simoncini watching on hopefully. Lennon then goes down in the box, but the referee is unmoved. Three minutes will be added.
    • 44' STAT: England’s opponents have avoided defeat just twice in the last 10 years (W1 D1 L54).
    • 43' Simoncini dives on a loose ball from a Baines cross and manages to smother it with Welbeck lurking ominously once more. England are ending the half very strongly, as is expected of them.
    • 42' Rooney whips over a very fine delivery from the right, but Brolli does superbly to head clear from inside the six-yard box with Welbeck just behind him.
    • 41' Rooney charges in from the left and fires a low shot on target, with Simoncini able to parry the ball behind for a corner kick.
    • 40' Cleverley is playing with typical energy in the middle of the field for England, and he is linking up the play to good effect.
    • 39' Oxlade-Chamberlain sprints down the right as he and Lennon swap flanks very briefly, before his cross is deflected away by Brolli.
    • 38' It's a breathless few minutes at Wembley as England score twice, and it looks as though the floodgates are opening now with the hosts rampant.
    • 37' GOAL! Danny Welbeck gets on the scoresheet with a cute finish at the near post! Lennon races to the right byline and cuts the ball back for the striker, who backheels beyond Simoncini in similar fashion to his goal against Sweden at the Euros!
    • 36' Welbeck is suddenly causing havoc in the final third for England, and the gaps are appearing everywhere.
    • 35' GOAL! Wayne Rooney drives a brilliant penalty into the top corner, and that's his 30th goal in an England shirt as he puts the hosts in front! The wait is over for the opening goal, and it's a collective sigh of relief from the England crowd.
    • 34' PENALTY! Welbeck is hauled down by Simoncini, who races off his line again in reckless fashion and takes down the England striker! The referee has no hesitation.
    • 33' Carrick drives a stunning shot against the crossbar from the edge of the San Marino penalty area, and Welbeck fails to slam home the rebound from close range with a mishit strike!
    • 32' What a miss from Rooney! Cleverley whips over a stunning cross to the back post from the right, and Rooney inexplicably heads wide from close range!
    • 31' Walker is playing as a right winger, and he has two attempted crosses blocked away as he looks to find a white shirt in the box to no avail.
    • 30' The last time San Marino made it to half-time without conceding a goal was seven years ago! England will not want to see that run ended this evening.
    • 29' Carrick and Rooney combine once more, and it's desperate defending from the visitors, who are approaching the half-hour mark without having conceded.
    • 28' STAT: In their last five matches, San Marino have scored just two goals and conceded 29. They lost all five.
    • 27' England build from halfway once more through Carrick and Cleverley. San Marino have seven men on the edge of their box right now!
    • 26' Rooney climbs high to meet a looping Baines cross, but he can only head way over the crossbar as England continue to press forward in wave after wave of pressure.
    • 25' Oxlade-Chamberlain drills a low shot on target, and Simoncini does just enough to parry the ball away with Cervellini on hand to add a punt upfield!
    • 24' There is a huge ovation as Hart is forced to touch the ball following a backpass from Jagielka, and San Marino remain very deep inside their own half.
    • 23' Oxlade-Chamberlain is in the thick of the action once more, and he gets down the left before Walker drives a low shot towards goal with a deflection leading to another corner.
    • 22' Rooney jinks inside two challenges before firing a low shot from the edge of the box which is deflected behind for a corner.
    • 21' Rinaldi catches Jagielka with a foul in the England half, just as the visitors were beginning to look like staging an attack. England build once more with Baines bombing on down the left.
    • 20' Simoncini claims a high ball in his box pretty impressively as Walker rampages forward and delivers a deep cross to the back post.
    • 19' Just to remind you of San Marino's standing - they have recorded 54 straight losses and have scored just one goal in four years.
    • 18' Rinaldi brings the ball forward from midfield for San Marino, but he is quickly caught up and crowded out as Carrick is able to intervene.
    • 17' Baines overlaps down the left and gets to the byline, with his cross rather unconvincingly turned behind for a corner by Vitaioli.
    • 16' Rooney misplaces a pass slightly as Palazzi is able to bring the ball out of defence for the visitors, and it's one-way traffic, as was anticipated.
    • 15' STAT: England have not lost any of the nine matches (excluding penalties) they have played since Roy Hodgson took over as manager (W6 D3 L0). Surely that record will not be blemished this evening.
    • 14' Cleverley charges forward from deep with a neat one-two with Rooney, before the move breaks down on the edge of the visitors' box.
    • 13' Chance! The corner is finally taken by Baines, with Rooney meeting the delivery with a firm header, but he directs it wide of the far post with Simoncini flat-footed.
    • 12' The referee takes exception to some jostling inside the San Marino box before Baines takes a corner from the right.
    • 11' STAT: In each of the previous two matches against San Marino, an English player has scored four goals (David Platt and Ian Wright).
    • 10' A Carrick pass is misread by his team-mates and the ball goes back to Simoncini.
    • 9' Walcott is withdrawn as Aaron Lennon does indeed come on to play down the right.
    • 8' Hodgson does not look at all happy on the touchline with his winger in trouble, and he was clearly disgusted by that challenge from the goalkeeper.
    • 7' Walker charges down the right for England, but catches Palazzi with a slightly late challenge. It's a free kick to the visitors.
    • 6' Walcott eventually gets to his feet gingerly and begins to prepare to continue, with the England doctor signalling to the bench that he will attempt to play on.
    • 5' Our man at the ground, @tomEurosport, says Aaron Lennon is poised to come on for England with Walcott really struggling - he looks to be in a bad way, but is finally back on his feet.
    • 4' Oh dear, Simoncini flies off his line and collides with Walcott, who falls to the ground with a thump as the goalkeeper makes an extremely reckless and dangerous challenge! He immediately apologises, but there will be a delay with Walcott injured.
    • 3' Oxlade-Chamberlain warms the palms of Simoncini as the San Marino keeper parries the ball over the bar, and the England winger makes an early impact.
    • 2' Palazzi makes an early clearance down the left, and Rooney and Cleverley are seeing a lot of the ball early on for England.
    • 1' The first half is under way at Wembley, and England immediately keep the ball inside the San Marino half, looking to build early pressure.
    • 19:58 Lots of you are seemingly willing San Marino to grab an early goal - perhaps in just eight seconds. No one is predicting over 10 goals, and we're about to find out what England can do... the anthems are over, and we're ready for kick-off.
    • 19:55 Right, we're all set at Wembley as the players emerge to the usual fanfare, and there is just about time for some late pre-match predictions. What do you fancy the scoreline will be this evening - how many will England rack up? Get in touch on Twitter
    • 19:50 "Leighton's done well, and we'd like to keep one or two players up our sleeve for Tuesday night... We need to be professional, we need to be disciplined, we need to entertain the crowd... We've got to hope that the goal chances we create are converted into goals." - Roy Hodgson justifying Cole's exclusion, and talking about his team's prospects tonight.
    • 19:45 Some bad omens out there for England tonight: Sweden went behind to the Faroe Islands before eking out a 2-1 win earlier, Lithuania are being given a real match by Liechtenstein, while Italy have made heavy weather of beating Armenia.
    • 19:40 England aren't the only team playing tonight: you can follow EVERY World Cup qualifier LIVE right here.
    • 19:35 In each of England's two previous World Cup qualifiers against San Marino - both part of the ill-fated World Cup 1994 qualifying campaign - someone has come through to score four goals. What price a captain's performance from Wayne Rooney tonight to do the same?
    • 19:30 We've got our own man at Wembley tonight, who will be Tweeting live from the stadium and adding a bit of on-the-spot insight to our live commentary. Follow Tom Adams LIVE at Wembley
    • 19:25 Davide Simoncini and his brother Aldo Simoncini both start for San Marino. Amazingly, the brothers hold a world record in the game: they are the only twins ever to score an own goal each in an international fixture, a double-disaster they pulled off against Sweden two years ago.
    • 19:21 If it begins to rain, expect San Marino to cluster around their dynamic centre-back Brolli. Chuckle.
    • 19:20 Slightly unbelievably, Wembley is sold out for this match. More credible is the fact that Leighton Baines and Kyle Walker both start (the latter getting his first start for England) in what is a young England side.
    • 19:15 TEAMS - England: Hart, Walker, Baines, Carrick, Jagielka, Cahill, Walcott, Cleverley, Welbeck, Rooney (C), Oxlade-Chamberlain. Subs: Cole, Ruddy, Lescott, Shawcross, Milner, Shelvey, A Johnson, Lennon, Carroll, Defoe, Forster. //// San Marino: A Simoncini, F Vitaioli, Palazzi, Brolli, D Simoncini, Della Valle, Cibelli, Coppini, Cervellini, Danilo, Gasperoni. Subs: Valentini, Bacciocchi, Bollini, Buscarini, Marani, Mazza, Selva, Vannucci, M Vitaioli
    • 19:10 Facing such minnows at Wembley is a bit of a banana skin for Roy Hodgson's men: only goals in double figures will do, and most commentators are scathing about why such games even need to happen. Jim White: San Marino match a total waste of time
    • 19:05 England are up against the world's 207th best team tonight - and no, the FIFA rankings don't go any lower than that. San Marino are tied alongside Turks & Caicos as international football's joint worst team.
    • 19:00 Good evening, and welcome to our LIVE coverage of England's World Cup qualifying clash against San Marino.
