2 vs. 3
FT: Argentina 3-2 Nigera. Both sides progress to the last 16 as Messi and Musa star.
Wonderful effort. Di Maria tries a lob from 50-plus yards and has the keeper scampering. It drops onto the top of the netting. close, but no cigar and it looks like the ref had given a free kick so it may not have counted.
Nigeria still probing for that leveller but they know Bosnia are ahead so there is a bit of a lack of urgency.
Higuain is substituted and replaced by Biglia as four minutes of added time are announced.
Argentina Substitution
Nigeria have a man down as Mascherano cannons a drive straight at the keeper who puts it out of play so his teammate can receive treatment.
Argentina clear the corner and Di Maria earns some respite by winning a throw in Nigeria's half.
Ambrose sees the space on the right and charges into the area. He lets fly with a low shot that deflects into the side netting. Very close indeed.
Di Maria finds space and marauds towards goal before seeing another effort saved.
There's still time for one more too....

Odemwingie off, Nwofor on.
Di Maria pings a cross in from the left and Garay flashes a header over the top .Poor marking from Nigeria.

Di Maria dinks a cute ball over the wall for Lavezzi who runs onto it and forces a good save out of the keeper. A very cheeky piece of play. Great invention.
Free kick to Argentina just to the right of the edge of the area. Di Maria over it.

PASS MAP: Ezequiel Garay has misplaced just one pass so far, but what an attempt it was. #ARG http://t.co/BenmM5jQul

Nigeria Substitution
The injured Babatunde off, Uchebo on.
Babatunde is down injured. He's been liying on the floor for a minute or two but only just been noticed as the adulation for Messi took centre stage! It doesn't look good for the Nigerian.
Argentina Substitution
ARGENTINA SUB: No hat-trick, but a standing ovation as Messi departs and hands the captain's armband to Mascherano. The mercurial number 10 is replaced by Ricardo Alvarez.
What a waste from Mikel. Argentina make a real hash of a right-wing corner and nod it straight to Mikel who casually clips it straight into the keeper's arms.
Rojo sprints onto an incisive pass down the left and cross low for Messi who can't divert it home. Still plenty of time for that treble though.
LATEST: Bosnia 2-0 Iran. It's looking very good for Nigeria now.
Messi's corner is nodded away at the near post.
Higuain races down the left, loses possession but then tussles for it and earns a corner.

Argentina in control.
Nigeria deal with the second set peice with more authority and clear their lines.
Back up the other end, it's a corner to Argentina. Di Maria's delivery is flicked goalwards and Enyeama has to be sure, so he tips it over.
After the delay, it's a great ball in from Babatunde who curls it to the far post where Yobo and Odemwingie are lurking. It causes allsorts of problems but the referee lets Argentina off the hook by giving a free kick. Looked harsh.
Argentina Substitution
ARGENTINA SUB: Ezequiel Lavezzi on, Aguero off. It looks like the Man City forward has picked up a muscle injury.
But maybe there's a chance here for Nigeria? Mascherano fouls Emenike. Chance to whip one in from the right.
Nigeria dropping off, showing very little going forward. Argentina being allowed to probe and feed their front three at will. That isn't a policy that will reap rewards for the Super Eagles!
The early bird and all that... Messi was just a bit earlier!

2 - This is the second time that #ARG have conceded in the opening five minutes of a #WorldCup match (since 1966). Early

The set piece is claimed by Enyeama who takes a niggly dig off Higuain for his troubles.

UPDATE: Bosnia 1-0 Iran. Good news for Nigeria.

Messi pings the corner into the six-yard box but straight into the arms of Enyeama.

More lovely link up between Argentina's front three ends with Aguero getting free on the right side of the area but cutting his centre too close to Enyeama.
