Commentators seem to wonder why the Parisians don't show up for the (early morning) women's games. I think it is because the games are so boaring that nobody really borthers to come untill the second week. The women's game has lost interesting players, who can do more than hit hard and grunt even louder. No variety, no display of soft hands, clever insight in the game, just boaring hard hitting. More is the loss of Justine and when are we ever going to see a new Martina Navratilova or Hanna Mandlikova?
Totally agreed and yet ES is "spoiling" us with these matches! Why am I watching Sharapova-Knapp when I could watch Ferrer-Hewitt is beyond my comprehension.
Really, what are the ES managers thinking?

It’s not just Eurosport, even the BBC are “spoiling” us with women’s tennis. Excellent timing as it coincides with the consensus of opinion that women’s tennis has lost it’s depth. I don’t follow the women’s game so I can’t say one way or the other and don‘t care. Shame you missed the Ferrer-Hewitt match, it was a corker. I’d recommend watching Eurosport online, but if you miss a match there’s no point in going for the relive matches option, you’ll be stuck with the same old choice as watching the Eurosport channel.
