As far as im concerned managing a national side, is #$%$ easy compared to club management. No players have to be bought or sold, no books balanced, and every man and his dog could pick the england squad. I think that 90% of the job is all about PR and international relations. Other than that the manager has countless friendlies to decide on his formation and when in a tournament has to take a chance by bringing on subs at the right moment. The other major responsibility of the manager is to accept all the criticism thrown at him when the 11 players he has fielded fail to perform.
