If the Reds win the Champions League...

First of all, Liverpool wont win anything, end of.

Secondly, there's a lot more at stake here than people realise. Since the conception of the Premier League, the FA have done all they can to advance the causes of certain clubs, such as Arsenal, Manu and Liverpool. I don't include Chelsea in the mix, purely because they're not a big club. Yes they now have money, but they don't have pedigree, history, and they certainly don't have great support.

Everton will finish fourth, Milan will be crowned champions of Europe, and the FA will be crying because an upstart team has replaced one of their own in the Champions League. The FA are a joke(just look at the England manager and how much they pay him for winning nothing), and the sooner they level the playing field for all teams in the Premiership, the better it will be for everyone.

BTW I notice Liverpool Football Club aren't saying anything about the situation. Now who's fault was it that after Everton were crowned champions of England in 85 and 87, they weren't allowed to compete for Europes top honour?

    • do we have an everton fan here by any chance?

they do deserve the chance to compete - but - what good will it do english football if they go out in qualifying - its been a good season - based on hard work and grinding out results against average opposition. they dont stand a chance of even getting through the qualifying rounds. it seems a waste that liverpool have shown that they are a force in europe, but wont be given the chance to improve.
