Bolton Wanderers Message Board
Well, Borgetti is a slow player for the Premier League standars, I'm sure he will have a few opportunities to prove himself but, he's not a solution for England's fast moving football, he can be somehow a good decoy, pull the oponent's defense out while more capable players can try to do the scoring. Besides, his age will be a major handycap on the long run, he's not made for the best football on the planet, not even for Bolton. Never the less, good luck to Borgetti.

It’s your opinion about the “best football on the planet”, FIFA doesn’t think the same way. But that’s besides the point. Borgetti’s major handicap is not his age for “the long run”, as you mention. Borgetti needs football providers. He won’t lead a fast break or toy defenders around like Ronaldinho. You give him the football inside the box and he will score. Free kicks, corner kicks, crossed passes, just look for him inside the box.... and let the football do the running. Good luck Borgetti and go Bolton!
I have lived in Mexico for the past 8 years and followed Borgetti when he was playing for Santos Laguna (city of Torreon). He is a very hard player with very strong physical capacities, and very good in the box. He will adapt well to the English game, although the speed of the game and mostly the weather may be an issue for him.

Hola england from california.
of-course borgetti is a hit. If his trainer give him an
opportunity to play, he will be doing an excellent job.
he scored against brazil twice this year, scored against italy, where he is italian citizen.
jared will be doing an excellent campaign. I hope his manager
give him a chance and appreciate his capabilities. Thanks
