    effing typical.

Yeah Wally hall park is a brilliant site for the new ground, l lived in the estate right by there and played in that park for years as a kid. Nothing much happens in the park apart from fishing on the 2 lakes. And its only about 2miles away from goodison. I wonder if they have ever thought about that? surely they would have wouldn't they?

    • A bloke called John Seddon originally proposed it. John Seddon is the founder of Telewest, well, he started a company which became Telewest. Sainsbury's were interested in coming in with us, but Cllr Warren Bradley knocked it back saying he didn't want park land being built on.

When the whole Kirkby/Tesco thing came up, Sainsbury's pulled out, but they've stated an interest in the plan if (and hopefully when) the Kirkby plans fail or are rejected. This could be really good news for Everton as a business, because if a bidding war starts between Tesco and Sainsbury's for our services, more funding could be available than originally proposed.

      • Whoa there horsey........

Did I see the name Warren Bradley opposing an Everton development because he didn't want parkland being built on?

Is this the same councillor who has approved the RS plans 3 times to basically tear apart Stanley Park so the new RS greenhouse can be built? Is this the same guy who has approved the knocking down of whole communities around Analfield for the RS stadium?

Are we spotting a trend here?

Walton Hall Park development, now here's a thought. Has anyone seen the size of the development close to the park? That vast area of wasteland that is being transformed with yet more retail units and office space (as is we haven't got enough new empty offices in Merseyside) is part of the area that IS earmarked for Everton's new stadium should the Kirkby one be refused. No doubt this is until Cllr Bradley decides that because the greater spotted newt once had sex in that field, that Everton can't build there for fear of destroying froggies little love nest.

Liverpool City Council are in it for one thing and one thing alone.....themselves.

Ask yourself this question. Why is it OK to destroy a public park and playing fields yet derelict land currently being developed cannot be used? the infrastructure around Walton Hall is fantastic and is so much easier to get to than currently Goodison or Analfield (have you ever been acosted by hoodies promising to mind your car at the petrol station or main car park on Priory Road?)

Whilst the current village idiots stay on LCC Everton have no chance of ever staying in the city.

Finally, what made me laugh the other day was Liverpool One (the huge corpration currently raping Liverpool City Centre with yet another huge shopping complex), had the gaul to object to Tesco's re-development of Kirkby Town Centre because, and I quote here...........
it will take shoppers away from Liverpool city centre!
WTF? C'mon folks where would you rather go shopping, Kirkby or the city centre? LMFAO
        What a joke.
The sooner we get out of Liverpool and into an borough that cares about the people in it rather than themselves, the better in my opinion.
