    • it was a so so game porto dominated for long spells in the first half we scored against the run of play, rooney was sent off after jumping for a ball leading with the arm .his elbow was no where and it was his hand that caught the porto players face the ref decided it was rooney so it must be violent conduct ...straight red ... utter bollocks.. scholes was very straight forward one clumsy tackle for a yellow then a bad clumsy from behind lunge 49 seconds after giggs went off and gave him the captains armband.. straight red not a second yellow...porto were average played three across the back and always threatened in attack,,but defensively they were maybe a 5 or 6 out of ten when oshea went off we looked shaky in the middle of defence with only wes the experienced player there but he looked good ,it was a good work out .ole had a good game and scored a great goal for a very tight angle he doesnt look his age and played the whole game ....park was good and reliable ...carrick looked ok maybe a 6 or 7 linked well with scholes and giggs so im sure that will only get better all in all a very good team /squad workout. i think ajax will be tougher remember, rio nevs oshea heinze scholes rooney ronaldo saha vidic wont be playing !!

    • Good results for the lads and down two men.

Ole's goal was the camel that broke the back for the drama queens of Porto.

Rooney got red carded because he went up to hit the ball and his hand accidentally hit the opposition face which resulted in a dramatic outburst and the dumb referee fell for it as usual. What a bunch of turkeybrain.

New rule: Never let Rooney in sight of the Portuguese.

      • subs - Simpson, Foster, Fletcher, Martin & Richardson. Players substituted - O`Shea (dead leg), Park, Giggs, Carrick & VDS. When O`Shea went off Bardsley moved to centre half and Simpson played right back.

VDS and Foster both made great saves, Brown was outstanding as were Scholes and Rooney before they were sent off. Carrick made a good debut. Bardsley was a little shaky at the beginning of the match but soon settled down, and later made a great tackle to prevent a certain goal. Richardson and Martin both looked lively when they came on and helped to stretch Porto late in the game. Park was his usual lively self. I thought O`Shea did well at centre half as well, he wasn`t suppose to play but Ferdinnd picked up an injury in the warm up which will keep him out for about a week.

    • I wonder what happenned, well it's alright 3-1 is quite a good score especially with 2 players sent off !
What was the lineup and how did Carrick do ?

    • cos the ref is shite?!
