Before Van Nistelrooy we never had a 30 goal striker but that didn't stop us from winning the treble did it? The team started playing differently when Van came in. It became a case of "pass it to Van", "get the ball up to Van" etc. Traditionally we have always been a team where everyone has chipped in. Our midfield will get more goals. Ronaldo got 15 goals last year and I expect him to get 20 thios time round. Scholes was in a rich vein of scoring before his injury so there will be more of that. Carrick will get some and Rooney will lay it on a plate for the midfielders many times and bag 20+ himself. We are OK there. And player for player we have not got the worst. I wouldn't swap Ronaldo for Pennant, Cole or Rosicky. And I wouldn't swap Giggsy for Kewell or Hleb/Ljungberg. Central we are struggling but who knows how much Carrick will improve it?
