    Englands New Manager ?

    Englands New Manager ?

When the inevitable happens - After the Croatia game at Wembley and Steve McLaren is relieved of his duties as English team coach - the media will again start the speculating on the person succeeding McLaren.
The English newspapers in particular will be licking their lips for another piece of juicy flesh for them to feed off. Mourhino’s name will mentioned but the man has far more sense than to hand himself to the scumbag press vultures who will shout for him to be installed but would be just as quick to tear him apart as soon as they feel.

The fact of the matter is – no-one in their right mind would take the job - It doesn’t matter if it was all the best rolled into one. The English manager position is only target bait for the press. Go back even to Alf Ramsey who won the WC then a bit later remember the treatment they gave Bobby Robson?, ‘Turnip’, Keegan, Erikson etc.

I’m not really a fan of Mclaren but he’s been there for the taking. Realistically the position has been reduced to ‘not even with a barge pole’ status and makes England the laughing stock of international soccer

What I reckon will happen will be a is: long list of candidates (even David Beckham Alan Shearer) all refusing and to end the embarrassment and after so may knock backs over a period of months they will hand the position to Stuart Pearce( nothing at all against Pearce) but he will be the only one to save their blushes -

English international football all F***** up because its the gutter press

    • It really is boring talking about England isn't it?! Nothing like United.

I think England bosses deserve the chance, and deserve time to prove themselves. However Mclaren never deserved the job in the first place. His achievements with Boro were minimal in comparison to Allardyce who was easily the best choice, the FA are complete idiots. No one can dispute his credentials, he could easily handle the big players (hes handled some complete nutters), has shown he can turn even bolton into a good footballing side, and what he did with Bolton was nothing short of miraculous. He has the personality also to get them fighting proud for their country. Ive always look ed at mclaren more as a very good number two.

However they will probably give it to another foreigner. Doesn't really bother me, international football is more of a fun bonus, Im all about the club football, thats the serious stuff that I really care about.

    • who cares really its run by a load of tossers who only care about their cronoes and if they had another brain cell between them then it woud be lonely. maclaren was buggered as soon as he joined the england set up just as it was obvious that our players had to unlearn what they had been told away at england duty

    • The only shout Glen Roeder deserves is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

This lack of knowledge confirms your place in the pit of yahoo's almost men.

      Be ashamed, be very ashamed!!

    • I reckon Glenn roeder might be in with a shout

    • The problem with this whole debate is that whoever the fans really want is not likely to get the job, due to the fact that the best managers will not be lap dogs to the FA.

McLaren got the job for one reason ionly, he's a yes man.

Could you imagine Big Sam, Mourinho, Scolari or another manager of the same personality, being led around by the FA? They would do it their way or no way, and for the FA that is not an option.

The National team in this country won't win anything until we sort the biggest problem of the lot, the muppets at the FA.

    • I think it hould be Ian Harris -he has the answers to everything
