I am a little worried that other players are not scoring goals, and if it wasn't for the prolific Ronny in recent weeks, the table could have looked a little different then it does now. Roon and Tevez seemed to have dried up, sicknote looks to have picked up ANOTHER niggling injury, and equally worrying is the midfield not scoring. We need Nani, Carrick, Scholes and Giggs to contribute more in front of goal, as we cant keep relying on Roony in our pursuit of League and European success.

    • I actually thought the flood gates would open once we went 2 up inside 30 minuets against Bolton but it never happened. I think it will just take Rooney or Tevez to get one then maybe it will happen for the rest.

      • The other point to consider is that Ronaldo banged another free-kick in last night, and also takes the penalties. Hargreaves showed that he can score from a free-kick also, as can Rooney if Ronaldo is not playing. Ronaldo is a fantastic player, but we have many excellent players in the team who can score if called upon. Ronaldo might be the jewel in the crown, but doesn't every team want that sort of player?

    • You could say something similar about each ofthe teams in the top 4 positions Matt.

      Small club without punchy (Adebayor)
      Chavs without the Chunkster (Limpturd)
      Liverpool without Torres.

The fact that in recent months SAF has given Tevez a long overdue rest is why the Roon/Tev partnership hasn't scored bucketloads.
If we hadn't been winning I am sure SAF would have dragged him back into service much earlier.
He has been saving him for the sharp end of the season which we are almost at.

      They will fire again.

Giggsy is a bit part player now and as such was never going to give us double figures.
The Ginger Ninja has had his injuries this season, following on from the ey problems last year so I think he still has goals in him.

Fletch has netted from midfield when he has played so the goals are still there.
Nani has been too greedy of late which has contributed to the rotational issues SAF is experimenting with at the moment but aside from a daylight robbery of a refereeing disply in the FA Cup we would have been on for the threble again so it aint that broke.

    • That's true, but Rooney has always been the kind to go thrugh bursts of goal-scoring. If he can get a couple, you'll see him pick up, though. We've actually got a lot of players off the mark in scoring, more than a lot of teams, but yeah, some of them hitting double figures would be good.
