Thanks all, I was not sure about the buy out details, or if you could extend the loan, but it seems some of you know the details better than I did. Seems most of you want to keep him, and I can see why. For those who were a bit disappointed, I'd venture its not the player that was lacking, but the system he's playing in.
For me, a player like Tevez is a scrapper. While he's capable of beautiful football, his real strength is a tenacity to hit the goal. Much like Rooney, putting him a more structured system limits that freedom, so in some ways hamper him. While he's proven many wrong by being able to play with Rooney, I still think you need a classic center forward to balance your attack. This becomes more critical if Ronaldo does leave. Otherwise you become a bit one dymensional playing in up through the middle with your two scappers.
