Would this be a fair evaluation of Manchester United's players if they were up for transfer?
£50 million or more
Ronaldo (including his marketing potential)
Rooney (Ronaldo's is worth a bit more in Europe)
Berbatov (may come good next season)
Giggs (still a top player)
Van der Saar (still good despite being nearly 40)
Rafael Da Silva
Nani (may improve next season)
Fabio Da Silva
I disagree with all others Ryan. I think all of these valuations are absolutely spot on....................................If I was playing Championship Manager!!
As you say, VDS is nearly 40. I would be devestated if we paid someone £12 million for a 40 year old keeper.
I, er, I really dont see the point in going on. There are some pretty accurate valuations in there but some are just a mile off.
Bit confused by this thread. On the one hand so many Mancs are defensive when anyone raises your wealth, and how that buys you a bigger and more expensive squad, yet this thread seems to prove out you've got one of the highest valued squads in Europe, let alone the Prem.
On a side note, if you can find anyone who is willing to pay 15M for Hargrieves don't let them walk away. Also, if Giggs is really worth 12M forget sentiment. I know it might be hard but realistically how many more season does he have, and that kind of cash could by you a much younger decent player who might actually be in or approaching his prime rather than looking back at it.
"So what do you think United players are realisticaly worth then?"
I think your top six are about right. Most of the rest of your valuations are just wishful thinking.
"Yeah he was a waste of money, and how much did you pay for him?"
I didn't pay anything. Big Brother paid £30m and £5m a year I believe. Whether that constitutes a waste of money you'll have to ask BB. His spending priorities aren't like yours and mine.

So what award did Giggs win this year and how many records did VDS set in goal? Scholes and Gary Neville are now in their final year at United as age has caught up with them, Giggs still has a few seasons left in him and is playing as well as I've ever seen him.
