    We lost because...

..it was never going to be our day.

Sometimes it's something uncontrollable - call it fate, luck, chance. I don't know. But I didn't see anything other than a Lpool win.

Did you really think Utd were going to inflict a 5th consecutive defeat for Liverpool? No, that would have been too good to be true. Who really believed Lpool would be out of the running come November? None of us.. and that would have been in Utd's minds. Fergie never plays for a draw so you tend to find we rarely do draw these games.

They were up for it more than we were because they needed to be. Had the boot been on the other foot, we'd have probably won today.

Let's just hope we pick ourselves up and Lpool go back to their inconsistent ways.

    • We lost because they have Torre's.and we dont.
I crap defender's cant handle him.
We found out to be not good enough.Forget Europe, and The Prem.that's Chelsea's who have stronger player's and arn't as brittle as us.

    • I like the way you put it, but for some reason, it doesn't make me feel better. May be it's because we're Man Utd, and our players should understand the honour they have to wear this shirt. They should give 100% every game. They're well paid to do so as well.

      • Unfortunately, footballers are human and not always the 100% professional we expect. There will be days when players just aren't mentally strong enough or badly prepared for a game.

I never criticise Ferguson but I did see a rather predictable line up and tactics from Utd. We weren't dynamic in midfield.

But let me not contradict my post and look for reasons in the game for losing. The main reason we lost is it just wasn't meant to be our day. All the papers were talking of Liverpool crisis. So what better than a game against your arch rivals to address that.
