the difference with us ole is when we get a decent lead, we pull off the best players, and the game mostly peters out, maybe it is now time for fergie to let us go for the throat, and keep it there, gd nearly came into play last year and we was a fair way off the pace, i hope the lads respond tomorrow, and im sure they will.

it does bug me though ole that clubs fold against them, but raise there game against us, yet they are supposedly the champions.............all boils down to the diffeence in history and aura though imo

    • Better GD is a good thing of course, but I think with Chelsea's goalscoring form, United would do well to finish with more points and make sure GD won't count. So I hope we will be more consistent with results than Chelsea. We need to take our chances in these tight games.

Substitutions will always happen, for obvious reasons. Other players need their chances too. It's the team as a unit that needs to maintain the tempo, sharpness and competitivity throughout the game. Berba did well to score against Newcastle, played for 90 mins and could have scored more goals, but failed - (the volley that went embarassingly wrong comes to mind). Credit to Giggs for coming from the bench and score, but then again, 3 of Chelsea's goals against Wigan were scored by substitutes. What does it say about their options?

I'm not sure about teams raising their game against us only. It might be us making them look better and Chelsea making them look rubbish. I dunno about this one, but if you were ever right here, then I guess it's part and parcel of being at United and our players should try to raise their own game all the time. A team will remain successful only if it keeps on improving.
