Manchester United Message Board
Prove (if needed) that Le Prat™® isn't knowledgeable about the game.
What game were you watching, son?
Deeprick, if only you knew what you were talking about, people might listen to you.
Look at Bale's contribution here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/chalkboards for the match.
Bale made 40 passes of which 14 were unsuccessful. Of these 14 failures, 9 were attempts into United's area. Bale made ONE, just ONE, successful pass into United's area.
So as an attacking force Bale was pretty pathetic.

Thank you Eric!
Just goes to show I WAS watching the actual game, and Spurstw@t and Deepr*ck were just making up sh*t that never happened!
See my quote earlier for confirmation....
'Spot on Lynden, I think only ONE Bale cross actually was met by a Spurs player!'
Like I told you, Bale did f*ck all really. Just a lot of huffing and puffing that sounded exciting with the Spurs fans going nuts every time he touched the ball. Completely over-hyped as a player, in Rafaels pocket!
how many chances did bale create, and how many did he score?
rafael did a good job and in fact looked more dangerous going forward than bale did, till that ridiculous red, but hey we wont call it cheating, conspiracy, or favouritism, were far better than that, we just accept it and move on, and mike dean wont even be wearing a spurs shirt or have a post saying he will be rested for next week.
class team, class fans

And not to mention that it was a very tense affair. I would've preferred if we beat them, but given all the pre-match hype that Spurs would snap our unbeaten streak, i must say i'm satisfied with a point.
the system with just crouch upfront works well against lesser teams.
but your utds, chelseas, & arsenals are too clever for that.
he should have started with defoe upfront as he would turn the CBs, make runs & create space & be sniffing around in the area for any chances.
crouch is too immobile to be a lone striker against top teams.
which meant when bale & modric had chances to put balls in the box they had to be inch perfert for a usually marked crouch who most likely would be beaten to the ball by vidic anyway.
harry got his tactics wrong.
bale got far too much time and space to cross from silvas point
according to your logic topofthetree, defenders can make as many mistakes as they like as long as they dont lead to goals.
i dont think fergie will be hiring u as defensive coach anytime soon.
If Bale was having such a great game against Rafael why did he move in to midfield in the second half? He was against a fullback on a yellow and he passed up the chance to take him on. Actions as they say speak louder than words.
Spot on Lynden, I think only ONE Bale cross actually was met by a Spurs player!
Rafael was one of our most threatening offensive players 2nd half, he's just as much an exciting talent as Hernandez, and with a more experience should become one of the best in the world in his position over the next couple years.
Bale is athletic, but terribly predictable.
A bit like a Deepak or spursslag post!
bale tormented him all game.
bale wasted a lot of good crossing chances but it dont take away the fact silva wasnt there to stop the crosses and attacks coming in.
im sure in a few hrs eric will look back at the in his pocked comment & cringe.
bale was round the back of him with a free cross inside 10secs!

"bale tormented him all game."
That was the game I saw too, not the other way round as Le Prat™® will have us believe.
Redknapp made a big tactical mistake by starting Crouch, had Defoe being on the pitch in the first period, he could have possibly get on the end of one of those teasing crosses by Bale.
Man U were there for the taking today but Spurs lacked confidence to go for broke in the final third.
