His comments certainly seem to leave the door open for a move here, but I would be stunned if Liverpool agreed to a sale, certainly at any sort of reasonable fee. He's a good player, but I think there are younger, better and cheaper options available, although his Prem experience would be a plus point.
Outside of his obvious desire to leave liverpool and utd`s need to replace VDS there is nothing linking him with a move to OT. His comments could just as well apply to arsenal - who need a new keeper, are challenging for the title and look set to qualify for next season`s CL. Indeed his comments could apply to any European team who meets those three criteria. Between now and the summer utd are going to be linked with a number of keepers and personally I doubt if Reina is top of the club`s wish list.

There is a lot of evidence linking United to Reina, and this has been consistently reported in United 'zines for a long time. The 'zines have close contacts at the club and generally flag things up several months before the national media get a sniff of a story.
Reina's buy-out clause is supposedly £20M, which even the skinflint Glazers can afford. It is VERY likely that Reina will come to United in the summer.
" I would be stunned if Liverpool agreed to a sale"
I wouldn't, for two reasons. The first is that there is a reputed £20m buyout clause in his contract, similar to the reputed £50m buyout clause that levered Torres out.
Second, John Henry made clear the other day that Liverpool will not be able to indulge in "deficit spending" and so any new players will have to be financed by the sale of other players or other footie revenue. His illustration for this was Babel+Torres = Carroll+Suarez. This being so, if they want to sign two young excellent prospects for £10m each, they need to raise £20m from somewhere.
Anyway, having missed Joe Hart, I think you lot should sign Kasper Schmeichel.

I made that statement before the news of the buyout clause came out. If thats true and we genuinely are interested in him, then there is a good chance the transfer will happen. I still think there are cheaper and better options though, i.e. Neuer with a buyout clause at the minute in the region of £12.8mil (although Schalke are trying to come to a deal to buy that out)
