    Liverpool are a disgrace

I am not sure I'd say Liverpool are a disgrace (although I do dislike them, as our rivals). I think they are clearly hury by this ban and want to get their point across and hope to reduce the length of the ban.

You say abusive language is used all the time in games. But is that right? Why is racist abuse worse than, say, calling someone a homo or a fat b******? All abusive language aimed at someone because of their appearance or sexual preference is as bad as each other in my opinion.

If you call someone a fat c****, is that not as bad as calling them a black c****? The PC brigade will say the former is not as bad as the latter. But I'm not so sure. Both are based on what the person slinging the insult sees as the easiest nominator of a difference between themselves and that person.

    Maybe I'm wrong.

I'd also like to say I kind of agree with some of spursbabes's comments in a different thread. Black/Pakistani racism against whites aren't reported on.

And it seems acceptable to sling insults about being Welsh, Scottish, Irish.
