I believe the loan system is a valuable tool for clubs but it should be restricted to players under 21 years and be limited to a maximum of 2 loan periods. This would end the farcical situation of clubs signing players and then loaning them out just to prevent other clubs signing them .
agree totally with willthered that it should be restricted to young players. I would also add that I think on-loan players should be allowed to play against their parent club as they are in Spain and that the club they join should pay all of their wages. A system which allows a player like Adebayor to play for spurs whilst having his wages partially played by the one club he`s niot allowed to play against is deeply flawed.

A silly idea, this would seriously damage the system. United have gained a lot from our young players going out on loan, if the other team had to pay the wages we'd lose out. They're doing us a favour the same as we are doing for them.
I don't think the loan sytem between premier league teams should be allowed. It gives teams an unfair advantage. For example, adebayor can play for spurs against against united, chelsea etc, but not city

Obviously you'd not be wanting a player which your football club has loaned out to be able to play against you, would you?
What a wally you are, a typical Man U knobhead!
