Manchester United Message Board
Clearly this is a sustainable business model!
Well I suppose it is if a football club is merely a loss making arm of the PR department of a national government.
This is just an example of 'sport' being used for political manipulation.
I doubt that true City supporters ( after an honest period of reflection) think this represents their history . Of course 'winning' is nice, especially after so many years, but they must know that if the EPL rules allowed it, this 'new City' would be playing in the UAE and would have nothing to do with Manchester.
Its particularly 'sick' that many of our media journalists are so ABU that they welcome rather than criticise this 'frankenstein monster' .
spursbabe/layla whatever you want calling, you have to remember that its football we are talking about here and common sense rarely goes in football. You only have to look down Alan Turing Way to realise that
Alan C 'You really are a sad reflection of a human being, intellectually challenged and only capable of insults to your betters maybe you should try going back to kindergarten it's were you belong'
Get over yourself knobhead, how's does taking the micky out of Man U supporters on here make me such a sad human being?
Different matter when you Man U knobheads do it on other club's boards, bet it's all fair game, good crack and a bit a banter then, isn't it?
BTW It's highly likely that I'm much better academically qualified than you'll ever be and that I probably have more dosh in the bank than you'll ever have.
thats 1 thing we both agree on alan.
i think its a crime that we have so many empty seats, not just in the premiership.
they could lower the price, do deals for kids as u mentioned.
give them away to schools, charities etc to fill the grounds.
as u say, some of the kids will grow up & be full paying adults.
the other bonus is that a good percentage of the kids u give free tickets too will spend money on food, drink, merchandise etc.
also its more support for the home team which is always a good thing.
even spurs should do it for the europa league games that we dont normally sell out.
but id go as far to say teams in the lower leagues should do it too. kids for a quid & deals like that. or 1 free kid with a full paying adult.
yes spursbabe many teams restrict the number of away fans into the stadiums maybe your right about less well supported teams not getting such a good travelling support but until very recently City curede their half empty stadium by doing deals and or free tickets. basically implying that some teams are over charging at the turnstyles. trying to think ahead to your next obvious on thought out question if the home team gave cheaper entry to kids then they would grow up and be full paying fans thereby increasing their income by having a larger ground.also any money is better than none
Yes slaphead, that's because Man U are regarded as a bit of a freak show by everybody else.
People like to abuse the ugly Man U team with ugly Fergie and all the ugly away fans to ridicule before, during and after the match.
