See, that just sounds a bit hyperbolic to me. Äwful"? We're still odds on to win this title, we missed out on the last one by goal difference, and we won the one before that.
This is not the sign of an äwful"team. There are issues, and I don't think anyone has pretended otherwise, but I just don't think it's as world-ending as you're thinking. You are, of course, entitled to your opinion.
I don't think Rooney is taking it for granted, or at least, that's not the impression I get. He's not at his best now, but I don't think there's an attitude problem.
An there is a danger of crumbling, but again, "äs usual" seems more hyperbole. It happened last season, no doubt, but you make it sound far more established than that.

Nah, I've seen enough from him to know he's a genuine fan, just one who I disagree with on many points. Considering the #$%$ who make up the ABUs on here, I'm not going to label someone as one of them unless they deserve it.
