Manchester United Message Board
From BBC ...
David Moyes has been handed a six-year contract by Manchester United and will succeed Sir Alex Ferguson on 1 July.
Not my first choice but let's give him a chance. Wonder if Baines is coming with him?
Moyes is EASILY the best choice, and guess what? Old Fabby TOLD you that yesterday!
PS. Where's you buddy Rikki? Not like him to disappear. Hmmmmm.......guess he's too busy counting all his winnings, what with him betting on Ferguson staying put and then (once Ferguson was off!) Mourinho coming in!!!
ONLY A FOOOOOOOOL!!
ONLY A FOOOOOOOOOL!!!
(what a COMPLETE 'tool'!)
And of course.......
I'm sorry to say but Moyes is average; United needs someone with strong European experience and with charisma; Moyes has neither. He served a long apprenticeship at a mediocre club, is that the sort of criteria required to become the manager of the greatest club in the world now?

A mediocre club?! They were close to getting relegated when he took over!
Apart from 2 seasons (I think), hes got them in the top 6 I believe every year, on f*ck all money!
If there was one team outside the top 3 I dreaded playing, it was Everton. Lets give the guy a chance FFS!
Just remind which team this season not only beat city 2-0 with 10 men but dominated the game? Which manager in that game showed great tactical awareness by coming up with a successful plan to nullify the influence of David Silva? Which manager looks set to finish above Liverpool with his current club for the second season running on an annual net transfer budget of £800,000? And yes I was worried about the lack of European experience until a mate of mine reminded me that Redknapp had little European experience but that didn`t stop spurs having a great debut season in the CL a couple of years ago - which is even more impressive when you think of how city have struggled in that competition and how Chelsea became the first holders of that trophy to fail to progress in to the knock-out stages.
One of the things I hope we will see with Moyes at the helm is even more of the youngsters being given their chance in the 1st team. Remember this is the guy who handed Rooney his debut at 16. As for everton players if I had to pick only one I would like to see Moyes bring with him it would be Fellaini.
