Evans and Jones, the future? What a f*****g joke!
The worst defensive display I've seen in years, a farce!
Wasn't Valencia supposed to be right back?
Buttner never got near the centre of defence.
And as for Jones and Evans, words fail me, Moyes needs to get the cheque book out, because those two will never replace Vidic and Ferdinand! This topic is deleted.
"Buttner never got near the centre of defence." - actually he did and that was part of the problem because he was suppose to be playing at left back but most of the time he was either in the middle or doing an "Evra" and being stranded way upfield. With Valencia a winger at right back the only 2 defenders who were doing their jobs were Jones and Evans. To be honest it was an odd back four which was always going to give a decent west brom attack chances. It rather suggested that SAF wanted his last game to be an entertaining one but he probably assumed that utd would outscore west brom.

Well said, Rikk.
Shocking and shambolic defending by the two sides at the Hawthorns yesterday, befitting a Sunday league match.
Jones and Evans in particular were awful, the pair made Senderos looks like a world class defender.
Hopefully Moyes would be given money to strengthen your defence before the new season starts.
Apparently Rooney didn't feature again because of his expectant wife, but I'd be very surprised if Rooney plays for Man U again, I think he's burnt his bridges now, and would be hard for the fans to ever forgive him the way he behaved in the last few weeks.
Jones and Evans (and Smalling, who someone mentioned elsewhere, despite him not playing) have all had good seasons, once their respective injury issues cleared up. This was a disappointing last game, but judging them because of that is as basas judging them on one really good game. Over all, when fit, they've all justified a decent amount of trust in their future roles at the club.

The only person whinging on here is you.
By the way tell me cause I'm curious are your multiple usernames an indication of a multiple personality disorder or is it just that you have a bad memory and simply can't remember your latest tag? The way you keep mixing up Jones, Evans and Smalling would suggest a poor memory but given that sometimes you claim to be a utd fan that would indicate a multiple personality disorder. And sorry to ask another question, but I might have to wait till next season to encounter you on this board again - especially given the way yahoo can sometimes behave post-season - does trying to remember whether the name you are using is suppose to be an abu or a utd fan give you a headache? After all it must be very stressful and stress can give people the most awful headaches. Anyway keep taking the pills and who knows by next season your doctor might have found a cure for whatever ails you.
PS you could always retire - its is the latest trend after all.
End of season or not..now you believe me..Utd cannot defend..& crumble under pressure.
We need a strong midfield,// centre half.
I have never rated Jones/Smalling.I hope Moyes sorts this out.

"I have never rated Jones/Smalling" - if you`re going to pretend you`re a utd fan you need to brush up on the players - Smalling wasn`t even playing. It was an typical end of season game where neither team had anything to lose or gain and it was played like an exhibition match. And you only need to look at some of the other results to understand that in those games with nothing riding on them anything can happen. Or are you also going to suggest that city need a major overhaul cause they lost 3-2 at home to norwich!
