Leeds United Message Board
So far, we have three wins from three and a couple of positives:
1 - Only one goal conceded by the man who was signed as our No. 2 and a youngster who has just signed his first professional terms
2 - Young guns Clayton, Thompson, Turner (x2), White, Lees & Cairns being given a run out and by all means keeping up with the pace
3 - Last term's bit part players Nunez and McCormack being entrusted not only to have a good run, but having team strategy tailored to them rather than relying on last seasons tactics and flourishing in the process
4 - 3 wins from 3, and an opportunity to get out and help bond the squad together by touring to Scotland, also allowing LUFC fans north of the border to reconnect and Ross Mc a nice homecoming at Fir Park
However, negatives are as followed:
1 - Just two signings despite numerous, key departures. Both signings seen as 'over the hill'.
2 - Frustration from LUFC fans as the players we are linked with fail to inspire optimism.
3 - The genuine possibility that Snoddy, Gradel and becchio may all be sold before the season starts in 20 days.
4 - An ever-expanding injury list that includes Somma, O'Brien, Becchio, Snodgrass, Kisnorbo and Lloyd Sam
5 - A lack of information regarding these player injuries, including time out and extent of damage.
6 - The players banned from Twitter indefinitely by the boss, surely a move demanded by Bates and carried out by his newest puppet.
Clingan, Eremenko, Fleck, Stockdale, Smith. These are supposedly are five key targets. Samuel, Osborne and Trialist A also featured against Rochdale. Will these signings give us an overall squad better than last seasons?
Gradel hasnt been offered terms, Grayson says he is not necessarily going to add to the squad 'for the sake of it'.. another day at the office for the Spin Doctors, SG and KB. Though apparently the imminent signing of Tom Seares is upon us... just what we needed, another winger....

Well we are in a pickle aren't we!!
Bates full of bullsh1t again, Larry doing F all, and the fans getting restless.
Until the bearded teflon wonder is away with the angels I am afraid we will never be happy. The select committee will hold no fear for KB as he is as slippery as they come and he knows the FA or whoever will do nothing about it.
I still ask the question where has all the money gone?
Doh! lol yeah wages obviously play a big part in coming to Leeds even if it is your beloved club ala Smith & Johnson, how many more will put wages first? I see the guy Andrews has snubbed us as well stating he does not think it's the right time to play for us baring in mind he is 30, maybe in another 4 years then eh?
Lotto, I posted that comment on 26 July. The following day, Wednesday, Ken Bates was bigging up the arrival of an immanent, impressive new signing. I suspect Bates thought he had landed Johnson. On the Thursday, Johnson went to Leicester. Obviously, even an avowed Leeds fan like Michael Johnson felt he could not agree terms or play under Bates' regime.
