Leicester then Leeds with a fit squad, if Kisnorbo stays fit I think we could get second place the guy really does give 100% and we missed that last season, honest I really think we could do it a bit of tweaking here and there which is why I want Bates to splash the cash just a little mind..
3 - 6 West Ham, Ipswich, Forest and Blackpool. I think Boro, Cardiff, Southampton and Brighton outside chance playoffs.
Having looked at several pundits’ predictions for the 2011-12 Championship it has surprised me that Hull City is so low in their estimations. I think this team is capable of making a serious challenge....
Anyway, it has also surprised me that, with its uninspiring transfer activity in the close season, Leeds United is forecast to finish as high as fifth – as Shaun Derry predicted in the Daily Mail.
As a ‘young’ manager, Simon Grayson is not in a position to use his contacts to sign quality players – as Howard Wilkinson did. Hamstrung by Ken Bates’ spending policy, Simon can only follow Don Revie’s formula. The Revie formula was to build a team around young players supported by a few strategically placed ‘old heads’.
Simon Grayson is a Leeds fan; he will have studied Don Revie and know what to do. The team may not have the marquee signings we fans had hoped for but it was good enough to beat Newcastle United and can only get better – fingers crossed!

PS Does anyone else think that with defensive centre backs in place (Kisnorbo, O’Dea, O’Brien, and, possibly Montegomery?) and a stronger defensive midfield, that we can use the pace of overlapping backs like White to start our attacking play from our own half – instead of booting the ball out of play whenever a threat occurs?
PPS When will we see Monte Gimpel play?
