Assuming 43 points will be a comfortably safe points haul, I think we could be safe by the end of January. If that happens the club can really look to plan ahead with regards summer signings. It appears the club are now wage competitive with all bar the top four clubs, which leaves only two reasons why players turn Pompey down.
A number of potential signings didn't fancy a season long relegation battle last summer, so a comfortable mid/upper table finish will negate those fears.
If Pompey can put some real investment into the training facilities ie, regular hot water, there's no reason why we can't reasonably expect to attract some real quality.
Indeed if 'Arry picks up a wide left attacking player, & a striker in January the club might even get into the top eight.
i think we need to complete the signing of fernandes and get some cover for the defence,Campbell's great but he's getting on a bit and with Johnson not playing well after the lay off we're leaking goals
