  • with rafa's barcelona outing this week, no matter who wins tomorrow between him and ferrer, he'll top the atp race for wat i think could be a while.

    nadal's coming into rome, hamburg and roland garros as the favourite which would give him a further 400 race points if successful. after that he'll go into the queens club champs as the no 1 seed for 50 more points.
    by then he should be at about 850 points (a minimum of about 150 points) ahead of djokovic (assuming djokovic makes the final in all of those tournaments)

    if federer was finalist in all of those he'd still be 250 points behind rafa and rafa would be i sniffing distance of the world no1 spot.

    by then nadal should be able to defend all the points he'd earned to become world #1 by the end of the year
