For a special holiday I would have to agree with Paul... it has to be Egypt.
Stayed in Cairo 12 years ago, it was fantastic, best holiday I've ever had. People are very friendly, food, etc. was cheap (don't know if that's still the case) & of course you have the pyramids at Giza and the Cairo museum is worth a look. Most hotels will let you pay a small fee for using their pool & sunbeds, for the day, but that includes a pool-side waiter service... so all you have to do is relax in the sun.

It's a bit of a dream of me and Mrs Soppy to go to see the pyramids and have a cruise down the Nile.
We've seen the great wall and the terracotta warriors a few times, nothing prepares you for the warriors, it's amazing!
Biggest dissapointment? The Forbidden City. It has a fackin 'Starbucks' in the middle of it.
Not so forbidden now then.
