what does danny boy want....a middle of the table team or a top four challenger....harry kn ows his onions and tells it as it is....if he said we aren't good enough and need quality players ....that is what it needs....imagine a £400m super stadium with a team of no potential....to fill a big stadium you need success to big enough crowds to fill it....levy is supposed to be astute....maybe in finanancial matters.....but not in common sense!!
success brings weath, fame and glory mr levy!
Lets not be too hasty here.......this season is a write off in terms of top 6 finish (we'll be very lucky to scrape into Europe via a cup). Even if Harry had 100 million to spend we would still end up mid table so why blow any funds we have scrambling around for mediocre players at inflated prices in the Jan window?
Im sure Levy will free up some proper money in the summer when Harry will have a better idea of who we want (and who we can realistically get)
Of course we need to spend some dosh and rebuild the team in certain areas but lets not treat the Jan transfer window like the make or break of our season. Levy managed to get us very close to the top 4 twice.....Im hopefull he'll do it again but we need to dismantle and start almost from scratch..something that takes time.
We are 3 points off relegation and this season (much to my annoyance) is simply about surviving and preparing for a proper go next year in the PL.

i think this has been blown out of proportion, our 'arry has said we need other players, we all know that as well, so not really controversy there then, levy has said there's not a lot of money to spend in january, imo, he's trying to be astute here as well, we all know how the press put us in the frame for every tom dick and harry, and it puts prices up accordingly, so what levy is trying to do is play down the situation.
i believe that levy will back 'arry in any transfer requests that he makes, also i can see some players leave in january in order to balance things up a little, so instread of hitting the doom switch, why not just wait and see what happens.
once again, the press are trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill, and judging from things, succeeding! ;-)
