    cannot help thinking

You're spot on. Steed was a great player for us, we could do with a few more of him. Why the hell did we sell him in the first place. I'd have him over Lennon and Bentley any day of the week.

    • We should of kept Steeed,he didnt want to leave but Ramos pushed him out,

But what bugs me more is that after 2 seasons of finishing 5,we were only 1 maybe 2 players short of being a good top 4 side.If we had gone for a left sided player instead of wasting the money to buy Bent, who we didnt need, and is not good enough for Spurs.Things could of been so much different for us Defoe wouldnt of left, and maybe with champions league football Keane and Berba would of stayed. It seems just a distant memory when we used to play fast attractive football with the ball being zipped around the pitch.

      • This link will make you laugh then:

        The paragraph:

The statistics show that Frank Arnesen, Comolli's predecessor, signed 24 players during his season as sporting director four years ago. Four of them remain but only Tom Huddlestone and Michael Dawson play regularly for the first team. Comolli signed 13 players for the first team during his first two years, of whom six have left and four do not have squad numbers this season. No decision on the future structure has been taken, but the club may make an announcement at their annual meeting, which is expected to take place in the next two months.

I was actually looking to see how many positions Bentley has played in since he joined Spurs when I cam across this
(Bentley - left wing, right wing, behind the striker, right back - didn't he also playe centre mid?)
