Tottenham Hotspur Message Board
Have read in local paper in Tottenham land, that while the new ground is being built a serious think is going on about making it the first of its kind with solar panels fitted on the roof, what do other tots think? COYS (who knows maybe some goons could talk about shit on pitch to pass the time)

Taiwan have got one that looks amazing - http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/gallery/2009/may/20/solar-power-taiwan-stadium?picture=347648514.
I think it's a great idea, why wouldn't you do everything you could to make a new building energy efficient at this point in time? Also, it'll save money on power, and if they do it successfully they can sell electricity back to the national grid, so it'll be a great bit of business. And, I don't know what stage planning permission's at, but if it's still being debated it means that leniency will be given in our direction, as rules are different for sustainable options but also it'll be good for governmental and local sustainability and climate change targets.
That's a bit of a rant isn't it! It's something I know a bit about and I didn't think had been considered for the stadium (it doesn't strike me as the sort of thing Levy would take into account), but I think it'll be a win-win situation - a little bit of mutual backscratching a good results all round (hopefully including on the pitch...).
