  • Bale of late reminds me of Cashley with his marauding runs down the left flank. You're right Rambr0 - he's fearless and it's about time we had someone who's prepared to take everyone on.

We've been somewhat jinxed with our full backs recently - both Bale and Hutton came in as first choice Left/Right backs for their respective countries then promptly got injured so couldn't play. I'm sure that's affected their game - though both have still been picked for internationals despite not being regular first teamers at Spurs. Interesting eh?

    • I'm not so sure about Bale being automatic first choice left back; don't get me wrong, he's been cracking (I've long been among his supporters), but BAE was also pretty damn good pre-injury, I reckon it'll be a case of seeing how they do in training.

So glad he's starting to hit form again, it's prime time to come into form as other players (and other teams players) start to get tired or injured. And he's still only a baby!

      • NBR,
I agree with you. I think Bale and BAE have different qualities as well - BAE appears to me to be better defensively and not so good going forward - and Balse vice-versa. So a good position for 'arry, who could adjust the team depending on who we're up against (although I think 'arry will go for one or the other to keep a stable back line).
