Tottenham Hotspur Message Board
I'm a sentimentalist too nbr - I want us to stay at WHL forever (or within my lifetime at least!). There's already been a lot of work going on - the buildings on the corner of Paxton Road and the High Road have been knocked down, as have those behind the old membership office on Paxton Road.
So I understand, the original NDP we would have meant a fully-functioning shiny new 56,250 capacity stadium which I thought was to have been ready for the start of the 2013/14 season. During building works the stadium would have had a reduced capacity but I believe the plan was to do most of the work in the close season with the pitch being turned around 90 degrees. As we know there have been significant delays, but if the planning application submitted in December is given approval then we could be looking at it being finished for the start of the 2015/16 season - that's only 3.5 years from now.
Latest information from the official site is here http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/futurepl...
As a footnote, both Southampton and Bournemouth have successfully rebuilt on their existing grounds in the past decade or so and, although probably smaller than ours will hopefully be, I'm pretty sure they managed it comfortably within 2 seasons. Not sure if that helps much.
PS. I hope Beni's not inferring that I'm "abnormal" seeing as I have access to a season ticket now ;-)
PPS. Am equally pi$$ed off that the game isn't being shown live - though there are highlights on Sky Sports 1 at 11pm.

36000 is a joke for a club like THFC! I would love to get to a game again...I went to all the games in the '60s and '70s and now with a 99.3% take up of all home seats, I don't see how I'm ever going to see my idols in the flesh again...it's so sad really, when you see most other premier clubs only sell around 75%-85% of their seats. We are becoming a major force in the football world, and it's time more fans got to go to games. Why is nothing being done? COYS!!
