Tottenham Hotspur Message Board
The amount of fouling he always committed that go unpunished in games is unbelievable.
His aggressive style of football would be frowned upon in Europe especially if Spurs are in the CL next season, and potentially a liability to the team.
I'm sure many of you will know what happened in last season's CL match at the Bernabeu when Peter Crouch was guilty of over-exuberance tackling all over the pitch. These are the sort of tackles Scott Parker always get away with in the rough and tumble of the EPL, he won't be as lucky as that in Europe as the European referees are under strict instructions to rid the game of sort tackles.
Personally I think he's an accident waiting to happen and a liability to the team, unless Harry tells Parker to cut that out of his game which I think would be akin to trying to teach an old dog new tricks.
Just my sincere observation of Parker's game.
Ps, I'm a Gunner btw and come to your board in peace, NOT to stir things up.

Didn't take long to be proven right. Parker let the team down with his over-the-top and aggressive tackling on Sunday especially at a stage when the match was already lost. A senior player like Parker should have engaged his football brain, rather than jumping in silly tackles and getting red carded. Without a doubt, he would be a huge loss for Spurs in the crucial tie against Man U.
Another defeat against the Mancs will be too damaging for Spurs season.

Too damaging for what? we'd still be 4 points clear of your lot.
You're still wrong and he'd still walk into your team.
Sandro is a very good player and IMO he certainly does not weaken our starting line up. Manure are always difficult and getting a point there would be good IMO.
Sounds like you're trying to cast him as a "dirty" player, which would be so wrong. Tackling is a dying art these days, but Parker is very skilled at it. He's a ball-winner in front of the back four, and uses it well. I don't like to see him get too far forward because he doesn't have the pace to get back quickly, and it leaves our line a bit exposed. But a tenacious player, like a Bremner or Stiles for those of you of a certain age! Integral to Spurs' potential success this season!
Would improve the Arsenal squad no end! and most of the goons I know are livid that your messiah didn't even make a move for him. I guess he left the specs at home-again!
I had my reservations about the man prior to signing him and I'm delighted to be wrong, he has been one of the most important signings we have made in the last 5 years and I wouldn't want him to change a thing.
The tackle he made on Micah Richards on Sunday was absolutely text book and currently he is one of the very few players in the EPL with the balls and ability to make tackles.
European football isn't so sweet and innocent. Did you see that challenges that Carvalho and Pepe were putting in during the Barca game? all unpunished, Parker does not make those types of challenges.
Crouch was silly in the Madrid game last season, but the man is often penalised unfairly due to his tentacle like limbs, he's just so clumsy looking. Mind you, I cannot defend his attempted eye gauge over the weekend, horrible.
My question to you: are Djourou, Squilaci, Arshavin bigger liabilities to have in your squad? it seems none of them care enough or are good enough for what you want?
Is Wenger the biggest Liability at you club?! he could end up costing you CL football!

He was very average EVERY single time he played against us in his Hammers' days.
I'm sure Wenger would've used that as his barometer to decide Parker whether he's good enough for Arsenal or NOT.
Just an example, Eduardo da Silva played against us prior to signing for Arsenal and he was adjudged to be up to *our* standard and signed. The rest is history.
