Mourinho Tipped as Next Spurs Boss

Well, it's only conjecture at this time based on a series of altercations at Madrid, but should this come to fruition, what do you Spurs fans think? In case you don't think it will happen, or dislike Mourinho, who would you want as a successor to 'arry when he takes the England job? Full article below:

It has emerged that Jose Mourinho could be making his comeback to the English Premier League earlier than expected after an altercation at the Santiago Bernabeu.

It’s understood that the Portuguese boss has had a falling out with some of his playing staff as well as some of the club’s board.

One option being discussed as a result of the tiff is that the 48 year-old may take over the reins at White Hart Lane should Harry Redknapp decide to take the job as England manager.

Mourinho was being linked with a move to Old Trafford to replace the aging Sir Alex Ferguson in some seasons’ time, however it looks unlikely that he will stay at the Madrid outfit for that long a period now.

Despite their league position five points clear of Barcelona at the summit of the Primera Division, it’s thought that Mourinho argued with Madrid star Sergio Ramos regarding the player’s marking in last week’s loss against Barcelona.

The news – which comes as the result of a leak to Spanish paper Marca – also goes on to say that Ramos commented on Mourinho’s lack of playing career, meaning that he can’t understand some aspects of the match.

The leak has resulted in a portion of the Real Madrid support jeering at Mourinho during the side’s 4-1 win over Atletico Bilbao on Sunday, doubtlessly leaving Mourinho bemused.

The former Chelsea boss may have put Real in the driving position of La Liga but that doesn’t seem enough for some and a return to England may be imminent.

Mourinho has made no secret of his desire to come back in a managerial role one day and may be tempted by Tottenham who seem to be heading nowhere but up.

Harry Redknapp has done a fantastic job for the North London side over the past three years which has led to the England manager speculation, which he has labelled as ‘tempting’.

Spurs fans will be upset to lose out on the man who has led them to a steady position in the Champions League spots, however the glittering resumé of Jose Mournho isn’t a bad alternative at all.

'IF' Hazza is found guilty then surely there will be no England job offer?

If he isn't found guilty and he takes it, which I think is quite likely. I would not want Mourinho!

I doubt very much he'd come to us anyway, we do not have the transfer budget that he'd want and we cannot pay the wages that would be required to draw players in that he'd want, we have enough problem competing on that front already. Then there's the wages Jose himself, would want!

I think its an incredibly unrealistic idea all round.

I agree that he'll leave Madrid, he comes across as a man who cannot cope with being second best, IMO Barca are likely to continue to dominate Europe for some time. Madrid may win the La Liga this season, but over the course of the next 5 years I think Barca will be untouchable.

Even if all those obstacles could be over come, I wouldn't want Mourinho, IMO his teams play like multi million pound Stokes! anti-football, not what I'd want for us.

Honestly I'd rather take Brendan Rodgers, IMO Swansea have played some extraordinarily good football this season and I think he would suit our style perfectly.
