    Finacial Fair Play and transfers

Yeah, I'm not convinced by the paper talk; 6 months ago they were all crediting the strong relationship between the two as the reason Spurs were flying so high.

As for 'Arry's "clear his head" trip - the man's gone through a serious and media frenzied court case (and come out innocent, let's not forget); the same day as that finishes the media's got another angle to hound him from with the England job for what? Three months? Oh, not to mention the heart surgery he had before that. Oh, and that the job he's been linked to is his dream job, and twice now he's been the "no-brainer" choice - this time even more than last - and he's still not got it, and has realised if he's not got it now he never will. And then there's the actual work stress; it's been fraught from start to end.

Is it any wonder the poor man needs a bloody holiday??? One week off before it's back to work to search for players & plan for next year, I don't think that's unreasonable!

I reckon ol' Levy & Redders are fine, leave 'em be and let them work their magic. I have spoken.

    • NBR,
      '...Also sprach NBR...' eh?

...and I glimpsed a bit in the paper (we only get a paper once a week, as my wife likes doing the puzzles in the supplement) today that 'arry is in line to get a new 3 year contract.

It will at least be interesting to see 'azard'n'Vertonghen in today's game - and see if Parker is fit. I thought I read a couple of weeks back that Parker had pulled out of the squad anyway, then there's been two weeks of '...he's injured....he's ok....'.

I have a sneaky suspicion that we're going to have a very tough game today.
