I watched the game last night (see first post) and although we had some really good attacking moves both goals were defensive lapses. First was a good shot from outside the box which should have been closed down and the second from the corner of the 6 yard area across Friedel into the far corner. I think Vertonghen could have prevented the shot and Friedel IMHO should have done better. We had more of the play early on and had the better chances but Valencia took their opportunity and took the lead. Lennon was denied twice in the space of a minute early on.
They had better ball retention after the goal but never really made that much headway.
Second half they had us running around and closed us down very quickly when we had the ball. We had chances but Defoe didn't have his scoring boots on and their keeper was on his game.
I hope AVB has learned a lot from this game!! Yes we had some influential players missing but we will struggle in the EPL if we don't sort things out soon. Team looked a bit lost at times.
Again all IMHO.
I heard that Kaboul had a slight knock - who was on the bench? Did they have virtually the whole squad there (ie was Bentley also there), or did the bench look like AVB had made up his mind as to what the squad may be?

Didn't see the squad John. Only who played, as can be seen from the Spurs official site, and they only say who was on the pitch.
I hope it's not indicative that Jenas played for 60 minutes. Hopefully just putting him in the shop window.
